ELAC Debut 2.0 F5.2 Floorstanding Speakers
At the very heart of a serious sound system. With its new custom drivers and improved cabinet design the Debut F5.2 is the foundation of a serious two–channel system or the nucleus of an impressive multi–channel setup. Add an app–enabled ELAC subwoofer and you have a full–range system that delivers big–league sound affordably. All–New Design—All–New Debut! Everything about Debut 2.0 has been improved including completely redesigned custom drivers that deliver greater accuracy and robust cabinets for even higher resolution and freedom from resonances. New Tweeter with Wide–Dispersion Waveguide A new silk–dome tweeter features a wide–roll surround and takes response up to 35 000 Hz for even more lifelike high frequencies. The waveguide improves directivity control and eliminates the diffraction modes inherent in traditional box enclosures. New Woven Aramid–Fiber Woofers The revised shape of the aramid cones offers even greater stiffness and damping far superior to polypropylene or paper. The added strength allows more flexibility in design to achieve a smoother extended low–frequency response. New Larger Cabinets Thick MDF cabinets with a luxurious black ash vinyl finish are larger and incorporate specially designed internal bracing to add stiffness and strength. This bracing greatly reduces cabinet vibrations that cause unwanted coloration to the sound. Because the only parts of a speaker that should be moving are the speaker drivers themselves.

If you want a stereo speaker or two channel audio setup and you are on a budget, this is the one for you. I bought the pair for my home theater system and it has some great sound for the price. I really like the fact that it is a 3-way speaker with a 5-1/4" mid range woofer, a 1" cloth dome tweeter, and a 4" polymer dome midrange. The way they are combined gives you pretty good sound overall and it is just as good as some of the more expensive speakers I have tried. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good two speaker audio setup.

I have had High End speakers for years. I bought these for my son who is an active duty Marine soon to be out of service. These compare and pass my 12 year old 805 signatures!

My son is coming home after 4 years of service in the Marine corps. I was planning on giving him my Totem Arro Speakers but one of them has a blown mid range. I bought these a month ago and I have been playing with them ever since! I put my B&W 800 series Speakers aside and set these up and I feel like I'm 25 again! They are heavy and well built! Not bright but rather controlled and accurate! I have been buying from AA for years. Great company!

I bought these speakers when the price was a bit reduced so it was even more attractive. I connect them to my Vincent SV500 integrated amplified. Although the sound is pure, it comes out, say "neutral". In other words, you will get a clear sound but not a "wow" performance. Middle is satisfying but these speakers are lacking the bass. However as i connected my subwoofer, as i was able to remediate it.Overall good entry level floorstanding speakers at a very affordable price and that can be played with any amp or preamp, but if you're looking for something with a great performance, Elac has other products tht will satisfy you better.
Andrew Jones designed speakers at this level are more about sound than looks so you get what you pay for here. Do I wish they were front ported, especially for the lower bass divers? Yes. But, thats because of my room. When thats all sorted they sound really good. I can listen to them for hours as they are not harsh at all and can drop for a speaker made of 5 1/4 drivers. The shop I bought them from communicated well and in English, they were well packaged (by Elac), shipped in a reasonable time and a very good price. Even with 2x 30 Euro I saved over 100 on the best UK price at this time.
ethe sound is amazing love the way the music sound the ELAC DEBUT 2.0 F5.2 ARE AWESOME .VERY GOOD SPEAKERS FORM andrew jones igood separation form L-R
This is a great sounding pair of speakers for the money.
I purchased these on a whim. Replacing some 10 year-old British speakers no longer made. I am returning back to them after four months with these, a matching center and the Atmos A4.2s. I will move these to my master bedroom late night theater.I was not impressed at first listen. They sound dull, weak and lifeless. After break-in, little improvement in sound. I have adequate power and a quality receiver (Marantz SR6011). I have also tried another high power Sony ES amp as a source. Movies, streaming 4K, online music, and CDs, as sources left me missing my old set-up.The speakers have lower sensitivity, so I compensated with higher channel levels but their output seems much less dynamic. Missing bass completely, I even verified all drivers were active to be sure. I ... MoreI purchased these on a whim. Replacing some 10 year-old British speakers no longer made. These remind me of the rack system speakers from the '70s and '80s but no bass. I'm hoping using as a late night theater in the Master, I can accept their faults. The Elac sound is over-hyped and overall, I can't recommend to anyone. I did get them at a bargain price, that's why I kept them.
this is one fantastic speakers love the sound nice and clear good separation with a lot of power i would recommend them.
