Specifically, I really like the fact that this toothbrush carries a USB charger, which is one of the reasons why I have not owned a Sonicare toothbrush before. Unlike wall bricks that tend to remain stationary, USB chargers tend to be temporary (e.g. being plugged into the computer), so it is important for the charger to work quickly to charge the toothbrush. That said, this one takes overnight to charge the toothbrush out of the box (and it does not include a charger for you to do so). This is a bit frustrating since now you end up having to free up a USB port somewhere (and for a long time) if you wish to fully charge your toothbrush.

The toothbrush head also comes with its own cover which I loved for keeping it sanitary.My only critique is that, while the toothbrush is gentle, yet effective in thoroughly cleaning my teeth and gums, I found that the brush head by itself was not effective as a tongue cleaner. I always felt that my tongue was not thoroughly clean after brushing, so I used the toothbrush in conjunction with my tongue cleaner to keep bad breath at bay.In summary, Sonicare uses gentle strokes and pulses to clean the teeth which I found to be highly effective and felt as though I got a better clean than with my previous toothbrushes. The Sonicare 2100 Series power toothbrush is definitely a new experience in brushing. I had a Sonicare toothbrush many years ago, and noticed that this one is "smaller" in many ways. The first is in the "handle" it is slimmer than any rechargeable toothbrush that I have ever used. It helps in that it makes it feel lighter and is easier to maneuver. The second way that it is slimmer, is in the C1 brush head that is used. It is smaller than the typical manual or power toothbrush that I have ever used. I haven't looked to see if there are other "sizes" that are available that can be used or not. The smaller head does seem to make it easier to reach and brush the back teeth. The brushing experience is wonderful. My teeth feel much cleaner than with my old electric toothbrushes or even a very careful manual brushing. Some sensitive areas on my gums improved rapidly. A bonus is that the frequency is almost exactly Middle C (C4), so you can tune a musical instrument to it.Negatives (minor): My brush came with a free brush head coupon. The website interaction is a mess, and I was never able to redeem the coupon. Another issue is that when fully-charged and in the charger, my brush beeps every minute or so, which is annoying. Problem solved by leaving it out of the charger. It really does hold a charge for a couple of weeks of brushing, so that's not a big problem.
