Elemis contains 9 essential oils including Lavender, Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Elderberry, Starflower, Optimega and is infused with Rose and Mimosa waxes. The scent is Lavender and Eucalyptus with a lemon scent layered over the top. I was taken back by the scent~ but in the best way possible! First it is a balm, but as soon as it hits the heat of your skin it turns into a luxurious oil, quickly melting away makeup and environmental gunk!! My face has recently been somewhat sensitive and I was a little worried trying a new product because everything new has made my face be overly reactive for some reason. This cleanser is oil based, but I had no problems or negative reaction to it. In fact, it was just the opposite. My face honestly felt immediately softer and smoother. I even left the oil on for several minutes each time. letting it soak into my skin really well as it felt so good and the smell was so nice I didn’t want to wash it off!! But to my surprise as I went to wash it off and water is introduced to it, then it turned into a very fluid liquid and rinsed completely off so easily!! I absolutely was not expecting that when it was literally just an oil on my face!! I was shocked at how different each step of the cleanser became each time. It’s almost hard to explain. But every night I really looked forward to cleansing my face because I enjoyed using this Elemis cleanser so much!! I will end my review and tell you honestly ….I milked those three samples for every single drop and am ordering more!! The price point is a little higher than I would like but if you sign up for emails with them they give away a lot of free products with your order which helps balance the price point out for me!! I highly recommend the Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. 10/10 and absolutely 5 stars!!

This product is described by the brand as a three-in-one transformative balm that softens, nourishes, and removes makeup, daily grime, and impurities. As I applied this onto my dry skin, I immediately noticed that the texture of this balm is very silky and smooth. It’s very different compared to other cleansing balms I have used before, it’s thicker and less oily. It also has a slight citrus botanical scent that wasn’t unpleasant and didn’t linger. As I massaged this balm off with a warm wet washcloth, I found myself slightly frustrated… This balm still didn’t remove all of my waterproof mascara. As much as I tried to keep it out of my eyes, it managed to irritate them every time. It’s not the worst cleansing balm I’ve used and it definitely cleansed my skin nicely, but I would hesitate before buying a full size. Maybe if it was on sale.

I like that you can use it as a facial cleanser in the day and it can also be used to remove your make-up at night. It feels great and relaxing as you massage the balm on your face. It rinses easily with water and does not leave your skin feeling dry after using it. You only need to use a small amount to clean your entire face but it also depends on how heavy your makeup is. It does have a noticeable fragrance to it, something like a minty refreshing smell of a SPA (if you've been to a spa you know the smell I am talking about) you might say it's a bit of a strong smell but for me I find it relaxing though. It has a buttery consistency and I do use a damp towel or a round cotton pad to facilitate makeup removal. It leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized everytime I use it. The cleansing ability is great!! It really removes makeup and grime, making my skin feel sooo good. This is a great luxury balm. The only thing I suggest is try to use scooper to remove the product from the jar so it will not be contaminated. Overall I really recommend this product as it is a bit expensive but worth it to splurge a little bit!

I think the brand is a bit over-hyped a bit over priced, but they do have some amazing products, such as this amazing cleansing balm! It smells absolutely amazing works like a dream! The formula is amazing too the collagen is ALWAYS a plus for me! The texture is that of a "solid like oil", that IMMEDIATELY melts upon touch! After applying some luke warm water it nexts switches up to an oily, milky, cleansing balm that glides easily over the skin! It takes off ANY of my makeup with ease, including my YSL Waterproof Mascara my tubing mascaras as well! It leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh, soft, smooth moisturized, NEVER oily or stripped! Even though this was gifted by Elemis, This is the third bottle of Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm that I have used, and it's now a must-have in my routine. I love that with just a little bit of product, I can easily remove my makeup, sunscreen, and dirt without damaging or drying my skin. The balm is super creamy and moisturizing, making it ideal for sensitive and dry skin like mine. It's not only great for removing makeup but also perfect for double cleansing in the best Korean style. Its smell is delicious, like lavender but not overwhelming. Here’s how I use it: I take a pea-sized portion of the product with a spatula to avoid contamination. I remove it with a cotton pad and then proceed to wash with my usual soap. After that, I apply my moisturizer, also from Elemis, and that's it! My skin looks amazing after using it: super glowy and healthy.

This cleansing balm was able to remove all the makeup, rhinestones & body paint with ease. Usually I would not be able to remove rhinestones with a cleansing balm, I would need to use spirit gum remover or micellar water to get them off, but they came off easily with this cleansing balm. My usual makeup removal routine consists of a cleansing balm, several makeup remover wipes & micellar water to remove all my makeup. Also, it has a very light and pleasing smell, and it leaves your face with a nice glow. This product is absolutely my new go-to product in my makeup removal routine.

It reminds me of Vaseline texture, you reach in and it’s hard but it melts on your skin as you rub it in. I definitely was using too much product to start, you only needs about 2 fingertips worth for your entire face and neck. The scent reminds me of a spa, I think it’s lemongrass and tea tree. It is a strong scent, and I prefer products without scents. But I did enjoy smelling it as I put it on as it is very relaxing. I have normal to dry skin and after a wash with this, my skin was glowing. It felt very clean and it was noticeably bright and shiny.
