AMAZING product for streaming older consoles

When it first arrived I was trying to figure out of it works for some of my older consoles like the PS2 original Xbox etc and took a while for it too recognize it on my PC once I finally got it too work bam amazing product for those of you wanting to stream PS2 games make sure you buy an av to HDMI adapter, so it can read it through elgato I got no lags from it. Ran smoothly probably better than the hd60s if you want smoother streams when streaming older consoles or anything really, hd60s+ is the way to go also for older consoles like Nintendo 64 or super Nintendo, original Xbox 360 , GameCube ,PSX, Sega gensis etc, check what adapters you need as long as it has HDMI female plug in with av cables you should be fine. This product is definitely worth the $305

Beware. Lots of listings for the HD60 S+ (which works directly on Zoom) are actually for the HD60 S (which does not).

The + makes a big difference. The HD60 S+ works directly with Zoom. It's almost plug and play. After connecting it to your computer, you can just select it in Zoom settings as your video and audio source. However, to use the HD60 S for Zoom, you have to capture the stream into something like OBS and then stream from OBS to Zoom. The S+ also has a 3.5 mm audio jack that accepts line-level input. Handy! But beware, there have been lots of listings for the HD60 S+ that are actually for the HD60 S. I think that sellers don't realize that there is a difference. Be sure that the photo of the actual device has the "S+" in the name.

The unit has been causing no end of issues since I've started using it. From intermittent HDMI dropouts, through to hours of garbled and corrupted recordings. Lost a week trying to diagnose and fix the issues, only to realize the unit is broken. The time-critical window to capture the footage I needed to capture is now closed, and this unit has cost me far more than just its sticker price.Poorly-made and overpriced. Avoid.

Pros: This is the industry's standard, and the first produict family you found online when you decided to capture game or otherwise.Main point: it works. Simple, you just get the HDMI in, it goes through no problems. It works with OBS, this is the main selling point and difference from the previous model. That means the computer will detect it as a camera and will work pretty much with everything you decide to use. There is a mic in, which is very convinient for those who dont want a super USB mic, and lets you start working without looking for audio cards, or going through any hassle you pc board audio interface has. It works well and its a mini jack one.It come with two cables, a VW-1 High Speed USB C and a 4K capable HDMI one. Both at legths to reach a computer ... MorePros: This is the industry's standard, and the first produict family you found online when you decided to capture game or otherwise.Main point: it works. Might be the worst product I have bought in terms of tech
19 September 2021

Ever since I have owned this I have had nothing but problems with it. Every single time I use it without fail there is a problem with the audio, whether it be the pitch changing up or down, the sound lagging full seconds behind, or the sound simply just not working at all. I have had other problems along side it like the video not connecting to the software or the colours being a different shade. I would never reccomend this product or brand to anyone ever.

Not good for the price, but in a class by itself
3 August 2022

I was lucky enough to score one on here for about $350, but if you're paying any more than that for one, I'd say go for something else. Unless you actually NEED the best of the best, while also having the ability to record directly to an SD card, look elsewhere. But for those of you who, like me, needed both 4k 60fps with 10-bit HDR and the ability to record to an SD card, it's a solid piece of kit with excellent finish and a premium build quality, all while working flawlessly.

I haven't had this product overly long yet, but it has quickly become one of the more useful purchases I've made as far as console gaming goes. I usually prefer playing games on pc and thanks to this product I've been able to capture my switch's gameplay and view it on pc with minimal latency and lag. It's even to the point that I normally don't even notice it. I'd highly recommend picking this up if you're interested in using your switch via your pc as it's definitely great for that provided you're not playing a fast paced kind of game that requires extremely quick inputs. I do want to note however that I used an alternative software than the one provided, in order to display the capture feed and adjust settings in a way I was more accustomed to. I can only hope ... MoreI haven't had this product overly long yet, but it has quickly become one of the more useful purchases I've made as far as console gaming goes. 4K tv no high end computer you good. Get an SD card of at least 200mpbs and the quality and frames will not let you down but there is a possibly a 2 second delay that you can adjust to the point it will be hardly noticeable after a while. This is a expensive endeavor but if you want the best you have spend for it. And if your computer does not have a SD slot the buy a SD Card reader and you'll be set no matter what.

Your best option

El Gato makes the best streaming products. They might cost a little more but they’re always worth every penny. There are great guides on how to set this up if you run into any problems but it’s pretty easy to plug and play. Comes with the cords you’ll need to capture and pass through your gameplay. Nice and solid construction with a grip surface on the bottom to keep in place when in use. Love this piece of equipment.
