If you take the time to program all the short cut keys and fancy it up with custom icons this device is amazing. I've spend about 6 hours programing/setting up a system for InDesign. This is such a time saver. I know the keyboard short cuts are available, but I can't remember all of them. The dials; I programed them to increase and decrease the font size, undo and redo by scrolling back and forth, zoom in and out, and left, center, right justify text with a simple spin of the dials. Now I'm going to need a caring case to bring this back and forth from home to work - I will never leave home without his now.

I'm a big fan of the original Stream Deck and I'm not even a streamer -- it's just a very versatile tool for everyday PC use, so I was excited to get my hands on the Stream Deck+. Unfortunately, the product has been a letdown because it often just stops working for no apparent reason. Like other Stream Deck products, the quality is really good. It feels well put together and solid. The four knobs (and their associated screen) give you great control over things like sound. Each knob can control multiple actions, and you can easily switch between them by pressing the knob.The 8 "typical" stream deck buttons on top are exactly the same as on other stream decks. They're good - BUT !!! - for the price of this device, there should be at least 10 buttons. Also, the vertical spacing between the buttons tells me that there was supposed to be 2 more buttons there, but some middle-manager decided to cut cost... I mean, seriously Elgato (Corsair)? Everything worked as advertised on my Elgato Steam Deck+. The setup is as easy as every other stream deck. Buttons, screen, and control knobs work great. I found a few good uses for it, but not as many as I hoped. I assume it will get better.Things I didn't like: It's bigger than I thought it would be, making it harder to travel with it. I don't like the fixed stand. I think they could have crammed a few more buttons on it, there is a lot of wasted space.Overall I am happy with my purchase. I love Elgato products. Looking forward to finding many uses for my Elgato Stream Deck+
I love this thing and it's only going to get better! I've seen a few people complain about minor things like plugins needing to be updated etc to support the knobs. Hey, if you wanna wait for that and not enjoy what it can do now while you wait, then buy the old one and regret it later then! It already made using my keylights way easier cuz the knobs worked for that right away. Its just like OBS, if you want to wait to upgrade to the new version because some of the plugins arent yet compatible, then wait. But if you are going to buy a new stream deck, it makes no sense to me to buy one that does'nt support the knobs and all that this can do NOW. I bought this on a hunch that with the new rotary dials, it might be just the thing to use with XPlane for autopilot/flight director controls. I use it on a Mac.And it turns out it works like an absolute charm. The associated app is totally intuitive (I dowloaded it before buying the SD+ to get a feel for it, and already I was impressed it's really straightforward!) The ability to even create button backgrounds using a nifty little online tool, the possibility of creating multiple profiles... and so, so easy. I already expect that I will be able to use it with Xcode as well to simplify work with that. The buttons may have a bit of wobble and sometimes it's hard to feel if you pressed it down enough, even though the screen buttons will definitely confirm that for you.The dials are nice and clicky to turn, and the dials are even clicky themselves. You may ask why I don't use Wave Link in place of that, since it's a easy-to-use powerful audio mixer?My problem stems with how Wave Link works at the moment. The thing is that it has audio latency, and for certain type of games, especially any sort of rhythm game or audio work, can make it unbearable. Even the workarounds I looked for this doesn't help.The other part is that it has only support for two audio formats, 48khz and 96khz, and nothing else. Not even 44.1khz. It doesn't have support for 16bit audio as well.This means it might not work with some legacy apps that use these specific audio formats, and at best, you might just get some static noise, or the audio will sound a bit crunchy.If anything, Voicemeeter would be better if you wanted an audio mixer, since it would be way better in audio latency(as long as you can lower the buffer size to as low as it can go without getting said noise, and in fact, this is what Windows mentions in their documentation for low latency audio), and supports every sample rate you can think of, and would support 16, 24, or 32 bit audio.It would also support ASIO devices if you have any of those, which even with other Wave Link products like the Wave XLR don't even support as far as I could look up. (Which might be important for those using something lIf you really care about some of these, I recommend trying to find a audio mixer that has those solutions. (and maybe one with ASIO, since there is a plugin for OBS that supports ASIO mixers, and any DAW and a few rhythm games do have support for ASIO)I really can't recommend the Wave Link software, and it kinda lowers the value of this product, which is sad because I kinda bought it for that reason.It sounded so good on paper, having that many audio channels would be useful for me.
