Engineering improvement needed

I've bought 2 mugs now - both times the base no longer charged my mug. The "inner" spring-loaded contact on the base corrodes and no longer makes good contact. Making the mug just a very expensive, cold mug.

Great Product abysmal coaster

I have had two of these mugs in the last 3 years and I use them daily, they are constantly full of tea. The first mug I had the coating came off and within a year I couldn't use it. But this was probably my fault as I used a steel T spoon. So when I purchased my second mug I also purchased bamboo T spoons and the coating has been fine. However I have now gone through 5, yes that's 5 coasters at £35.00 each. They are utterly useless, even if you manage to keep the pins dry and somehow miraculously stop them from corroding away, the spring in one or other of the pins will fail causing it to drop and lose contact. I say this because you cannot just by the pin module and replace it yourself, which if they cannot fix the issue would be cheaper and produce less waste with people having to throw away the complete coaster just because the pins are broken. The pins on my coaster have just stopped working and if Ember are not going to fix this issue I will not be buying any more replacements so I went on to you tube to see if there was a video for a fix and there are lots and lots of videos. Given this I will be attempting to fix the issue myself. Come on Ember sort this out.

Mug is GREAT! Coaster has DESIGN DEFECT!

We're on our second charging coaster and it just broke after 6 months of gentle use. One of the charging pins sinks into the charger and the mug can no longer be charged. This is a well-known design defect that is littered all over the internet. How does no one from Ember know about this? The mug works great otherwise. It's really sad that a reputable company will destroy it's reputation and eventually go out of business because of a simple defect that could be remedied pretty easily. Also, not taking care of customers that are suffering from said defect is shameful.
