The print quality is very good, no streaks or missing text. Good colour output as well. Scan is excellent as is copying. Operation is a bit noisy when starting up, lots of banging and clicking. The no cartridges is a very big plus as is the filling of the inbuilt ink containers, no spilling of ink anywhere. Easy monitoring of remaining ink. Smaller design compared to my previous printer. Noisy start up and it lets you know printing has started.

I have just replaced my existing multi function printer with this. That was quite bulky and very heavy, although it was fast printer with good print quality. I had to change that as it was too big for our need as I am going paper less eventually. In search for a new printer, my main concern was running cost of the printer. This ET-2810 comes with about 2 years of ink (this is what Epson says, but I think it would last longer for my need). Furthermore, based on my research the refill ink cost is really low comparing ink cartridge cost for other printers. Print quality is ok. A bit slow, but that is also ok with me. Very happy with this printer and I would recommend this to anyone who need a low running cost printer.

I bought this printer for my child's school homework, scanning, etc. The product is a good product for the job as it does not require costly ink like the inkjet printer. The only thing I was a bit upset was it does not have double sided printing plus there is no tray to store paper as we have in other printers. The paper hangs outside from the back. Plus it does not have airprint from the phone. It has got it's own app thru which you can print but that does not work for emails directly to be printed from the phone, etc. Overall a decent printer - but if integrated with functions like AirPrint and 2 sided printing, would have been great.

I fully appreciate the service I have received from Noel Leeming and specifically the service I received in Masterton recently which I left a compliment for. However my printer which I like the size of and the economical use of ink (or does the credit here go to the manufacturer of the ink), had very poor instructions attached. By chance I have finally worked out how to scan. But surely when one purchases a printer, scanner, copier, one would expect to get good clear instructions on how to use these functions. Now that after some time, I have finally got my head around it all, I am delighted with it. As I said I am extremely happy with my service from Noel Leeming.
I almost didn't buy this because of reviews that suggested set up was difficult but I set up through the app rather than trying to grapple with the paper instructions and it couldn't have been easier. The printer is light and compact for a home office and not too noisy. Print speed is slow for a printer in this price range (but I knew this before purchase and it is not important for my usage). I presume the price largely reflects the ecotank feature which is easy to use and looks promising but only time will tell. Aesthetically I also like that I could get a model in white (to better suit my home decor) and it has a nice flat top for the cat to sit on !
There are a number of reasons I give this rating. 1- The amount of ink wasted testing the nozzles. The ink reservoir on all colours dropped a QUARTER before I'd even printed a page! 2- You are not clearly told that this printer requires a Wi-Fi signal strength of 2.4 Ghz. Thus, you cannot print anything on a 5 GHz Modem UNLESS it can also accommodate that frequency. Even then you have to first change from 5 to 2.4GHz before you can print your document- then change back to 5 GHz to use your faster frequency. 3- The attitude of the Epson Australia male [I won't mention his name] operator when I was trying to find out why my printer- for the above reason- wasn't printing when I first installed it. Listen mate. You're paid to 'tolerate' my lack of technical knowledge ... MoreThere are a number of reasons I give this rating. 1- The amount of ink wasted testing the nozzles. Customers like myself pay your salary.
At this point in time I will not be raving of this printer. It took the longest time I have ever taken to install a printer. The instructions where not overall spot on. The ink in the black was down to a quarter by the time (even though only 3 pages had actually been printed) I had finished troubleshooting. I had difficulty Wifi pairing my PC with the computer. But in saying this there was something in the background of my computer (something once again that had never happened) stopping me from downloading the required driver. But once all this had been sorted out the printed quality was very good. My only issue now the draining of the black down to a quarter. & the yellow to 3/4 quarters. Hopefully the Epson Customer Service people who I have contacted will be ... MoreAt this point in time I will not be raving of this printer. Sneaky Epson! Bought this printer for my mother as her old (as in decades) previous epson AirPrinter had enough.. Who would’ve though this day in age Epson are selectively adding AirPrint. What’s worse was while researching from other sellers they mis-advertised AirPrint compatible.. Only now (she not being a big user of basic printing) she tried to print off some emails to no avail. Sure it all works via the epson app’s for photo’s easily but very clunky for PDF’s and the like.. Looking like it’s hard earned cash down the drain as the 79 year lady can’t get her head around all the extra “things” she has to comprehend to simply print text.. MAJOR POOR FORM!! EXPENSIVE MISTAKE :(
I honestly have never written a bad review in my life, and I will admit that I am not the smartest person that existed but.. this is the most confusing printer I've ever had. The setup is so confusing and frustrating and it always takes so long to print anything I need. By this I mean there's always a connection problem, paper is supposedly jammed or it just prints off something random instead. It is much easier to print from a phone or any other device than a laptop which some of us use much more frequently than other devices for work and study. I have changed my rating from 1 star to 2 because I do acknowledge that the ink has lasted a long time and the scanning is not too bad. Would I recommend the printer to others? Not unless you are very a very patient and persistent person. As I have just given up on this printer at this point. And yes I am aware Epson has online help and you can call for help and I've been there done that. This is my opinion only and obviously alot of others have had a very good experience with this printer.
After a fair amount of research I bought one. I was sick of paying a fortune on Ink. The ink is super cheap. You can buy compatible ink online which is way cheaper if you know where to go. The only downside with my research was it (like all similar printers) there is a sponge that at some stage needs replacing and you can't just buy one and put it in, you need to go to the manufacturer as there is a code (I could be wrong). I hope that this will happen way in the future or you will simply be allowed to code it yourself at some stage. But I am certain this the best way forward especially with even cheaper ink. The software is blue and basic but it does the job.
