I have had this printer for almost a year. It will not take any paper thicker than 24 # including paper such as Epson matte presentation paper.(Thick paper is on). Periodically it decides there is no paper in the paper tray. After a couple of hours messing around, turning off, turning, on, removing paper, putting in new paper, it decides to work. Currently it loses the connection with my computer about every other day. The router is about 6 feet away.It also tells me I have no ink when the tanks are over 3/4 full. This is an excellent printer. It's fast, very efficient with ink, prints high quality, and is loaded with features like auto duplexing for printing/scanning/copying. We bought it to support the entire family; work, homeschool, pleasure. We even print our pictures on it since the print quality is great and ink is cheap. It has two main front trays, and a rear feed. The status screen will tell you how many prints you've done and even break it out by color vs black and white, so you'll know your exact "ink mileage." The WiFi range is excellent (full strength signal even though the router is on another floor and not directly above the printer. It's great that you can physically see the ink level, rather than relying on trickery software. You won't go wrong.

Bought this for home use. Was really expensive, but it had the features we wanted. Works well. It's running low on ink after only 4 months which is about 8 months sooner than I expected, considering the low print count. Still, it works well and does a nice job producing high quality prints. Would recommend if you need the features and are willing to fork out that much cash. There were less expensive models that had most of the features we wanted, but every other brand and model we looked at had poor reliability ratings.
Our office was using a smaller/older version of the Epson EcoTank and we really liked the design of the refillable ink cartridges. So when we needed a larger printer with a greater capacity we went with this model and it has worked really well. The setup was smooth and the print quality was clear. Some other reviews thought the screen was too small but I thought it was a perfect size.In an initial large print, we did have some ink spillage on the corners of a couple of papers and we had to redo it but I was able to catch it and recorrect it. Also, I noticed in a couple of instances during a double-page print the back side print wasn't straight so it's taking a little time to become familiar with the settings.

This product review is required for product and warranty registration. Bit hard to do a product review when the product has been owned and used for less than a day by the team. But so far the installation of software has been a bit hit and miss on WIFI. All installed correctly once connected to the LAN. Output so far has been good, but it is early days so can't comment to ink usage / overall costs. All set to average as that makes most sense at this early stage. Thought about marking it as 1 star due to wasting my time with a review in order to register the product and get extended warranty.
I had a ET-3850 that was purchased from Costco . I only found it ok as usning the various functions outside of normal copying was cumbersome (scanning, duplex) .When I saw this printer on sale , I wondered if this unit was worth the extra money. I did several searches on reviews on this product and it was favorable . I took the plunge and it was worth it. It has comercial grade features and it makes the ET-5850 look like a basic printer. The ET-5800 has a large touch pad, duplex handler, large paper capacity and better print quality. Absolutely no regrets here
Purchased this printer for use in our shop for signage etc, from day 1 we have had nothing but communications errors.followed the instructions and feedback from support but still having issues.it will connect to the wifi but then will not print from any of the pc's or Mac in the office.have plugged in via usb now to help reduce connection issues but we still constantly have trouble.we have to reset this printer almost every time that we use it, we have given up with wifi and have to transfer files to the Mac that is connected vis usb in order to print.This product has the potential to be wonderful but with its current and constant connection issues I could not ever recommend this product to anyone.

Had to restart spooler often or just shut it down and restart.wasnt very compatible with mailings. Best Buy had excellent customer service, and I made sure when I upgraded to ET-5800 to buy from them again for that reason.Geek squad did an awesome job with assistance in settup for both printers, even though I didn't need to pay extra except for the second printer kept giving an error message that it was out of paper. a second agent suggested to push the paper back further like 1/2 to 3/4 inch beyond the tray.Probably didn't need to buy the 30 day plan, although they helped to make some adjustments that had nothing to ... MoreI started out with a ET-4500. this printer was pretty efficient.
