1. The ink runs out quickThis may not be a problem for some who doesn't print often or isn't on a tight budget. I'm not one of those individuals. I'm not joking the ink runs out fast. I would buy the XL cartridges thinking it's more inside and still the same results. It's like one day use. I may below 30 pages one day, come back the next day and can't print anything. I'm really missing my old printer. I'll buy black and color at the same time, but one will run out before the other. Usually the color would go first. Now I'm standing in front of the printer being reminded over and over I need color ink. Check this one out as well. I have a full black cartridge I could use for a week. So I'll be able to print from my phone. It's always not ready to print. I check my connection, if it's paired, etc and etc. Everything else works in my house. Why does this printer not. I press a button either nothing happens or I would have to press it multiple times.One day I'm pressing the power button to turn it off and it wouldn't turn off. So, I got frustrated and unplugged it from the wall. Next time I go to print the printer telling me I have to replace something because when I unplugged it I messed something up. Cannot print with only black and white, do not buy

I am a well-educated, tech-savvy person, and this has been my mortal enemy ever since I bought it to print off all of my college reading handouts. Nothing but issues ever since I bought it. The number one thing everyone should know is that even if you print in BLACK AND WHITE ONLY, it still uses some of the red and yellow inks. I managed to go through an entire yellow and red ink cartridge in 400 pages of black and white only printing. Just 400 pages. This wouldn't be an issue if the printer let you print without having any other colors in it - but no, you must have all cartridges in and they must all be above a certain fill level or it will not even print black and white. Do not buy this printer. Cartridges fail constantly.

DO NOT BUY!!! Once the return window is over, the printer will suddenly not recognize your ink cartridges. I've got brand new XL cartridges that I can't use. They worked a couple of times, but suddenly they are not recognized by the printer. Uninstalling them and reinstalling them doesn't fix the problem and it won't even let me use the scanner without replacing the ink cartridges. I just bought brand new cartridges. I'm not going to buy more. Do they expect me to buy all new cartridges every time I print something or use the scanner. No thank you. It's just a worthless piece of junk now. I can't even sell it. I will never buy from Epson again. What a colossal waste of money!!!

Constant issues with ink cartridges.

I have to replace ink every time I use the printer. I dont use it every day so they dry out between uses. The ink cartridges are not empty by any means, but the printer says they are. If one color is low the machine will not work at all. You can't even use the scanner. Recently I haven't been able to print anything at all because the last several cartridges purchased have been defective. Epson customer service has been useless.This isn't even touching the WiFi issues with this thing. In that the wireless capabilities on this machine do not work at all.Complete waste of money.

I hate this printer

yeah, I just want to note for my own mental health that this is an awful printer. We don't print much, just need a basic printer at home for the occasional document needed. Sometimes I make a grocery list on my Mac and print it so I can cross off at the store. This printer refuses to print in just black and white. Even when you have your settings on black and white only it constantly uses color. It constantly assesses its own ink, then using up a little color to do so, a little bit at a time. Then it uses up its color (without having printed anything in color) and won't work even with a full black and white cartridge. Right now I just need to print. I don't want to pay another $50 for color ink when I haven't used color ink-- at all. The printer offers "out of color ink, you can use just black and white" and then it takes you to a screen that says "must replace ink now-- replace or cancel printing?" And you are stuck. You have to cancel or replace the color ink that is empty while the black is full. These companies are predatory vultures. I am not buying an Epson again.

It sucks, Black ink runs out within 30 copies

What a piece of GARBAGE. I went to set up this printer. I printed 2 pages that were performance pages for the printer so if I could see why it wasn't linking to my router. After printing 4 total pages in black, THE PRINTER RAN OUT OF BLACK INK.It looks nice, but as you can see the screen is NOT a touch screen. Everything you do with this printer has to be done with an arrow button. When you press the power off, you then have to go to the arrow button and move it over to off to even turn this printer off.Epson has really created a total, 100% piece of junk. I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO FINISH SETTING IT UP BEFORE THE BLACK INK RAN OUT !!!!!Plus, Walmart doesn't carry the ink in stores. you have to order the expensive and tiny cartridges and wait for 5 days.If I could ... MoreWhat a piece of GARBAGE. More of a hassle then help

Printer worked great for the first couple of months. I had to change the ink cartridge, so I bought the one it told me to (epson brand). I put it in the way the instructions say… and nothing. The ink didn’t work. I thought maybe it was a bad cartridge so i bought another. It worked great the first print and thought my issue was resolved. I went to go print another sheet the next day and the ink was smudged and so light no one could make out the writing. I took the cartridge out and shook it again, it worked but this time had random ink splattered all over my paper and the edges of my paper was ripped during the printing process. I had high hopes for this but I realized the reason for the cheap price.

Printer is trash

This printer either doesn't recognize a full ink cartridge or reports there is low ink after just printing a couple of pages. I've replaced all the ink cartridges in the printer yesterday and the printer is still stating low ink. The replacement of all colors is $50 so it's not cheap. I tried calling customer service twice and was required to jump through hoops to prove there was an actual issue with the printer. Once I emailed back all the requested documentation the representative never reached back out to me to resolve the issue. From the numerous low reviews on this printer, it is clear that the company is aware of the issues and doesn't care about their customers or the quality of their products.

The price is attractive, but you'll regret it!

When it works, its great. However, when printing more than 2 or 3 pages with any words on it (Have not printed pictures) it will completely miss a line. Many school projects I have had to print 2 or 3 times because some of the lines in the document are missing the the top 3/4 of the letters. Early on, I had alignment issues as well but it is at a tolerable level now. I have tried going through the print head cleaning and many other built in cleaning features but it will still miss several lines of documents.the printer DRINKS INK LIKE CRAZY! I am not sure how many pages it says one ink cartridge will get you but I can almost guarantee, its a lie. what ever it says, cut it in half, if not more.Like I said in the title, the price is attractive and its why I ... MoreWhen it works, its great. I've been threatening to throw this piece of junk out the window for the better part of two years. Today, I finally did it. The scanner is fantastic, that's why it survived this long. I'd promise myself I'd only scan with it then something would come up and I'd try to print on it. All the anger management in the world couldn't make that a tolerable process. Regardless of what paper is used, or what paper setting you select (or profile you create) to match it, it would not feed. On the rare occasion it did feed it would either A. pass the paper straight through then tell you that you were out of paper or B. it would jam. Numerous painful phonecalls, emails, and chats to Epson for help were absolutely useless. This printer was an issue from day one.
