This was a perfect solution for creating a standing desk, using a large 34 inch Dell curved monitor. The desk arm was installed on a trading desk and functions wonderfully. Separately, I purchased an adjustable desk adapter from Amazon (placed on top of your desk) for my keyboard and mouse. Paired together, it’s perfect!

Currently holding a Cintiq Pro 24 having bolted the arm to a wood desk of about 2cm thickness. Base, pole, arm, and VESA mount all don't budge. There's a slight give to the rotating hinge at the very tip of the arm — probably about two degrees — but it sits firmly when not actively being rotated if that makes sense. Attached display is about 16 lbs but is easy to move around, especially upwards using the assistance of the spring in the arm, and when lowered it can even take a slight lean against it as I work on the drawing display. Overall pleased — though it is a bit expensive, I feel like this thing will outlast anything else on the desk, even the desk itself.

I use this mount to hold a 43 inch monitor. It is very stable and I absolutely recommend it for monitors over 25lbs. There are few arms on the market that can handle this much weight for the money.
Putting my arm together reminded me of why ergotron has been the leader and my go to brand for decades!
If your desk or what ever you are going to mount this to is heavy enough to prevent it from tipping over, with a large monitor hanging out a long way from it, you will love it. It really does have a large range of motion with capability to outweigh a small table. You have to adjust a spring to balance the monitors weight, which took me close to 100 full turns. Well worth it.
I spent two hours installing this, read every page of the manual, watched the Ergotron installation video on YouTube, and am really disappointed with this arm because my monitor wobbles like crazy. The arm is too big and lengthy, so any typing, even the lightest typing, results in dramatic screen shaking. Since my camera is built into my monitor, when I type it looks like I'm in an earthquake. My clients noticed the wobbling and said it was distracting. I purchased the LX Tall Pole model, which is much smaller and shorter, and does not wobble.
With my 38in curved LG monitor, I wanted a desk arm mount that was steady and sturdy that I didn't have to drill into my desk. Did a little research and found this one. Of course seeing is believing! It it both those things and a solid full metal build (except for the section that hides the cables). I don't worry about my monitor having accidents or that when I bump the desk, it will shake. Solid. The only thing I would change are the directions, but YouTube had my back.
I bought this for use with a Cintiq 27 QHD. A lot of youtube reviews complain about the wobble during drawing when mounted with the standard Ergotron LX arm, which is why I went with the Sit-Stand model - a much more robust and heavy duty version. There's still some wobble, but I find it actually helps me keep my drawing nice and loose. Here's a quick tip. Maybe this is in the instructions and I just glossed over it, but I figured this out the hard way. When adjusting the weight resistance, you have to use this really long allen-key on a bolt right behind the monitor. I was tilting the monitor forwards to do this, and it really was a pain and cause me a lot of problems. ...i have been buying mounts over the years; setting up, moving and replacing many studio/offices during the covid era. and for the moment, this ergotron LX HD Series is my new favorite in terms of quality, build, articulation, adjustibility and overall function. These are not small. and these are not cheap. but if you want solid quality, they certainly fit the bill. ... a few suggestions / lessons learned . (1) always use best cables with lots and lots of ties ... and keep in mind you'll need no less than say a 3meter lengths. that's 2meter to lace up the arm to your desk, then additional length to reach the port replicator or computer. (i' use 3meters the most, and 5 meters are my favorite). (2) hardwood desktops or millwork is a must. the amount of force ... And at the risk of stating the obvious, do not expect pressboard or light-weight consoles to hold. (3) never can have enough pole rings (PN#97-844). ergotron is great at supplying necessary hardware in their kits, with exception of the pole rings. ... for some reason they seem to skimp and only ever send one ring with the monitor LX-sit-stand kit. and if you want to mount the keyboard to the desktop kit, an additional ring is needed. All told, the ergotron LX HD series sit-stand products are top-shelf and premium... my recommendation, if you've the time, would be to contact BHPhoto tech team, who i am sure may offer better advice and options beyond my little write-up. keep well, everyone ! and stay healthy.
