Ergotron LX Dual Side by Side Arm Polish

Works beautifully, holds matching 27" LG Ultrafine (4K) monitors level and stable, and clears a lot of horizontal space on my desk. The semi-contained cable routing works well, and the polished Aluminium finish is the business.I would like a little more vertical movement - when I'm standing I'd probably like the monitors a little higher than they can go - but otherwise I have no complaints.

Disappointing Quality

First thing to be said, the arms are different from each other and it is terribly frustrating. One arm cannot stay at the same height as the other. Almost every time I attempt to adjust position of my monitors, the arms almost come off of the mount.I also should've reviewed the product more closely; only the top half of the arm can rise, the bottom half is stuck at one height so the range of motion is VERY limited. The sub-par design and poor quality, especially for a highly priced item, makes this product lack any value. Wish I could return them for something better.

Great Supporting Cast

I purchased this unit specifically for the grommet mount capability. I was a tiny bit disappointed when the attachment plate was only meant for 2-inch openings. My installation called for a 3-inch. No big deal, nothing a small piece of plywood could not solve. I drilled a 3/8 hole in the square piece of plywood and use it like a washer. Castings are solid and polished and nearly match my Mac's housing. I only had to make a minor adjustment in counterbalance for my monitors and it hold them solid at the same height. Wire management is on the minimal side. I would have expected more than some zip-ties on the upper arms at this price level. Thus the four stars.

Great, just not “tall” enough.

Its vertical height adjustment is not as extensive as I’d hoped. And the horizontal distance between the two monitors is also sub-par. If I had the $, I’d return this and just buy two wing monitor stands, vs. a dual-monitor stand.Other than that, the quality is generally quite good, easy to install.The instructions for installation COULD DEFINITELY use some re-thinking, with more written steps and visuals. You ask me to go from A-Z, without showing me the in between steps BCDEFGH….

Impressive Investment

I own two of these that I've had for over 5 years holding four 19" 4:3 ratio monitors that I use as a freelance designer. I got sick and tired of having four monitors on my desk so I went ahead and bought two of these after thinking it over for years. GREAT investment! So much more desk space and makes dusting easier. A few points in regards to other reviews since I've had these so long and am quite intimate with them. Yes they are "expensive" (I'm in the opposite camp where my monitors cost 3x's what these arms cost), but these are made from cast aluminum which is not cheap along with stainless steel parts. The price is fair for the quality you get. The price is fair for the quality you get. The cable conduit on the bottom part of the arm has a small divider in it creating two small channels, one to hold your power cable, the other for video. So if you're having a hard time putting the plastic cover on, use your fingers and make sure the cables are each in their respective conduit. Cabling at the top can be done with twist ties (black to match your cables) or those plastic loopy things that are a one-time-use deal. There is a small hook to attach it too just before the large joint that attaches on the back of the monitor. They adjust on all 3 axis (X,Y,Z) with very good angling, pitch, and rotation. Years later the monitors haven't sagged a mm. They clamp on to your desk with great grip but don't mar the top surface at all. Overall I love these things; great product by a great brand. I always recommend them.

Quite Nice

Setup is time-consuming, but easy to follow with clear instructions. The arms themselves are great. Stiff enough not to jiggle, but easy to adjust. Just beware if you have very lightweight plastic monitors. The joints are designed to account for the weight of the monitor, so if your monitor is too light (like one of mine) then it can be difficult to adjust the arm even on the lightest setting.

Very Happy, 5th Ergotron Product and Best Purchase By Far

Spent years using four distinct Ergotron arms. They're great, but I'm on a smaller desk now and can't afford to have two bases attached, so I went with this dual side-by-side LX arm. Very straight-forward to setup, especially given that I've used the single arms for close to ten years and knew what to expect re: assembly.Ergotron is the brand I seek for this, and they will forever be the only brand I seek for this. The only complaint I have is that those single arms are extremely difficult to pack and move. I saved the box for the dual arm though; lesson learned!Love what these folks do. Nobody else makes my computing profession tolerable at 6'4" like Ergotron.

Very durable monitor arm. It’s

Very durable monitor arm. It’s a big mount so you will need space behind the desk if you plan on using it, otherwise it will scratch your walls. I used it for 27 inch screen so I can’t get the screens to touch exactly side by side without being so close to me. Overall it did the job for me and I got used to the mount, after a few days.

I've had this monitor mount for a few months now. Overall, this is a wonderful device, and I definitely recommend it. Everything about it has been awesome except for one complaint, plus a caveat...The good: The arm articulations are flawless and smooth over a pretty awesome range of motion, it looks like it came from the 24th century, and it handles heavy monitors like a champ, leaving them exactly where you moved them to. Assembly is also pretty easy.The bad: The base isn't high enough to get the full vertical adjustment range that the arm itself offers. It's not a problem for my particular setup, but if you think it could be for yours, check the Ergotron website for the dimensional diagrams, and bust out a tape measure.If you're into the business of voiding warranties, the Ergotron employees posted the base pole's manufacturing specs on their official forum, so that industrious customers could have a new one machined and then swap it into their setup. Just sayin'.The ugly: Some newer monitors are pretty lightweight, sometimes too light for the lowest-tension setting of these Ergotron arms. Your monitors must be heavier than 7 lbs each, otherwise the arm will drift upwards!

Product looks great and it is very easy to assemble. Parts are made from quality metals and they are nice curved and look very nice.I am comparing this product now to the one that I used to have and still use DS100. Compared to DS100 this product looks much more slick. The problem is to adjust the height of the monitors with the arms which is not as easy as well does not go as high as with DS 100. It could be problem if you are taller than average. As well it is much harder to achieve complete symmetry of the left and right side.The side by side arm is great if you want to get a bit of angle or if you want to turn monitor in different way to show to somebody else part of it. It is hard to make it higher because of the mounting system that holds on to the desk company should of thought about it and give an option for it.
