It's Sugar. I was surprised to see this on the list of things to sample as I was unsure how I would rate it. There can't be much variance in sugar products?! Can there? To be honest I always do buy this brand of sugar but in the 1kg variety. Buying the 2kg variety made me realise that I don't want to upsize my sugar purchase in the future. If you are baking quite a bit it may be useful to buy in bulk but the value for money for the larger size is not enough for me to warrant battling with a 2kg bag of sugar for a cup of tea. Too big for me. This brand is great value as a pantry staple though and I will continue to purchase the smaller bag.

Cannot notice any difference. This sugar is actually a good price. I use mostly brown sugar but for my baking and hot puddings white sugar does it. I got this on my way to work, and as we needed sugar for our hot drinks, this reward came in very handy. I can’t notice the difference in white sugar so to me I think this is a good buy for a 2kg pack. Will always have it in my pantry. Thanks Woolies.

Good Quality Product. The Essentials white sugar is a good product. Good to see it is Australian made, so by buying this product we are supporting local industry. The white sugar was good to use in preparing sweets and deserts. There is no need to use the more expensive name brand products. This is value for money and a product I will look at purchasing again in the future.

Great Australian staple. Im very happy to have this sugar as a staple ingredient in the pantry and use it for whatever dish or beverage requires plain white sugar. It's produced from Australian grown sugarcane. When i compared this sugar to a different brand I couldn't tell the difference between them as far as colour, size of granule or taste. The only noticeable difference is in the price, with this one being much more economical. The packaging is fairly plain looking but the blue colour does stand out on the shelf. It's also completely recyclable or you could shred it and add to the compost pile.

Sweet. I always purchase WW Sugar. I really haven’t found any flavour difference from more expensive ones. I do prefer raw sugar. Noticed that packaging came in different sizes which is great as covers everyone from small pkt for single person household to a larger one as this for a family. Suggestion would be resealable packaging if possible. I use bulldog clips if I have to put in pantry or put in my glass canisters. Thank you for this sample as it made me more vigilant in the aisle for differing sugar/sweetener products. Great to be 100% Oz Product and good price. Basic staple in most kitchens.

Great Product. We don't usually buy white sugar. We usually use raw or caster sugar. This was a nice change. It was of great quality and great value. We used it in waffles for breakfast yesterday we would usually use caster sugar and found no difference. Nice and sweet and great white colour. Great that it is an Aussie product and like that it comes in a paper recyclable bag.

Sugar is sugar, but I prefer brown sugar. This is what you would expect with sugar. However I only use white sugar if called for in a recipe, otherwise I'd switch to brown for everything else, eg. in tea/coffee. I tried a tea with white sugar but it didn't taste the same and I much prefer brown sugar. This is an excellent pantry staple though for baked goods. Very affordable. I have tried the speciality ranges of sugars but for standard sugar for baking this is what you want and is cheaper than other brands. Thank you Woolworths Bunch for the sample.

Product of Australia. Sugar is sugar no matter what the colour is but still unhealthy to consume in high doses. I use raw sugar on most things but I use white when a recipe specifically calls for it. I find there’s very little difference in terms quality and price as like any other sugars we buy, this WW brand is an Australian product from Aussie grown sugar cane. For this sample, I made strawberry jam which will be used to top scones, filling for pastries, biscuits or sponge cakes, and even mixed into sauces and glazes. The paper packaging is recyclable and follows the usual WW Essentials theme. Note: I'm a little confused where it's packed as it lists two locations: one in Australia and one in New Zealand. Does it mean it is a product of Australia but not necessarily packed here? The competing brand CSR clearly states that theirs is both a "product of" as well as "packed in Australia". It would be great if WW can make this clear in their packaging. I will buy again in bulk, preferably if it's both a product of and packed in Australia.

Sensational Sugar Staple. There really is no other option when it comes to white sugar in my opinion. This sugar really is exceptional - in quality and price. I have been buying this sugar for years and it cannot be beaten. Found in the baking aisle, amongst the other sugar products, the no frills blue paper packaging serves its purpose. It’s not resealable, but I always transfer my sugar to a container anyway. At a bargain price of $1. 79 for 2kg, it is cheaper than CSR sugar ($2. 40) and is absolutely no different. I bake often and whilst my baking is mainly refined (white) sugar free for everyday consumption, I do make many recipes (mainly for my husband!) that require this sugar. Do yourself a favour Bunchees and ditch the branded sugar. Make the switch to this superbly sweet, sensational sugar. You won’t be disappointed.

Sugar. I’m not sure how to write a constructive review for sugar as it is an essential item and a base product. There is no difference between various brands except packaging and purpose whether to cook/bake or use direct in coffee or tea, even with the beverages I prefer different sugar for each. This particular sugar I used for tea and used to make marinade. It is considerably cheaper than other brands and I notice it is sold in 1kg, 2kg and 3kg, I suggest lower the price for bigger package to encourage people to be more environmentally friendly.
