I purchased Essies Treat Love Color from Target is the shade “See the Light”. It is a sheer shade of beige pink that has some shimmer to it. It is not actual glitter which I was very happy about. Glitter in nail polish can be very tricky to remove. This on the other hand removes very easily and I tried with a couple different types of nail polish remover. Essie has very standard packaging for nail polish but it is not low quality. I have never had the bristles fall apart on me and I am almost done with this bottle. It also has a very smooth application. I like that this nail polish can be worn with a single or multiple layers for a slightly different color. It dries very quickly especially if you only apply one coat, so this is a very good nail polish if you are in a hurry. The company claims that you do not need a base or top coat, however any time I have worn this without a top coat it chips/peels very quickly. This is actually the first polish in my lifetime I have used almost finished. The problem with that is, it is very difficult to get the last bit out of the bottle. Not sure how anyone does it with any nail polish brand. Now for the Treat Love part of this nail polish. This nail polish is tailor made as a strengthening treatment as well! My nails seem to grow faster and beak less often while I am using this. I definitely notice a difference in my nail strength when I stop using it. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to enhance the health of there nails while still being stylish! 👀Key Ingredients: ✨Collagen - Helps to rebuild and strengthen nails ✨Camellia Extract - High in antioxidants to protect your nails as well as moisturizes... I have a love/hate relationship with essie, because I find that there's a lot of inconsistency throughout their collections. So, I was a little hesitant going into their treat.love.color line. I tested two colours: Tonal Taupe and Loving Hue. They're both sheer/shimmer finishes after two coats. I was able to still see my natural nail colours through, but the overall appearance was pretty. Tonal Taupe was more streaky than Loving Hue, so I had to work with that polish a little harder to get an even coat. I did find that both colours clashed with my natural skin tone, so they weren't exactly the most flattering for me personally. My biggest issue with essie nail polishes come from the brushes. I'm not great at painting my nails, so I find that having a good brush makes all the difference! I had no issues painting on Loving Hue, but I found Tonal Taupe harder to brush even strokes. When I removed all the polish off the brush, I noticed that the hairs weren't cut evenly across.I haven't given essie T.L.C. enough time to see whether or not their "strengthening" claim is true. I also don't have brittle/weak nails, so I may not necessarily be the target audience they're trying to reach. I would recommend this product for those interested in trying to find an all-in-one nail polish that can potentially improve the health of your nails. But, if you're just looking for a nail polish, I would recommend looking elsewhere.I don't know if I'd repurchase this, because I think there are other drugstores brands that have a similar colour range at a fraction of the price. However, I may consider looking into the opaque colours in this line because I prefer to have my nails stand out.*Disclaimer: As a ChickAdvisor staff member, I had the opportunity to test this product for free... Essie is one of my go-to nail polish brands because they have a wide array of beautiful pastel and bright colours. When I heard they were coming out with a nail treatment line, I was excited to try it out!I ordered the colour "A-Game", a beautiful subdued raspberry pink shade. When I received it, it appeared a few shades darker than the image of the pack I saw online, but a beautiful colour none-the-less. I can imagine this colour would look great on a variety of skin tones. My experience applying the polish was easy - I was surprised to find that the consistency of the colour was perfectly streak-free and smooth. However, the bristles of the brush appeared to be cut a little bit inconsistently so it was hard control where the polish went the first few nails I painted. My favourite aspect of the polish was its quick drying time. By the time I finished painting all the nails on one hand, the first nail I painted was pretty much completely dry.Although you are not required to a top coat, I would reccomend it as the colour only lasted three days until my nails started to look really chipped.I cannot comment on the polish as as treatment as I don’t have brittle nails, but upon removal I can say that my nails feel just as strong as before I applied the polish.* I received this product for free to try as a ChickAdvisor staff member.... I love how this makes my nails look! A nice natural everyday nail. It is a very light pink, almost white, very sheer base color with hot pink shimmer shift. The first coat is very sheer then it can build in color (but still remains sheer) after a few coats. Only gave it 4/5 stars because it’s fairly cool toned and would look amazing on someone with a cool skin tone, but doesn’t look 100% harmonious on my warm skin tone. Still looks great though! But I prefer the shade Tinted Love... Show more

The color is 89 keen on sheen. It’s a metallic pigment in the rose gold family. It’s a strengthener formula for dry brittle nails to help strengthen as a colors. He claims no bass or topcoat is needed so I am trying it alone. It states that the formula is breathable with collagen and Camillia extract. The color goes on smooth yet without a base coat it does kind of sink into any ridges you may have on your nails. In my pedicure, the color lasted about five days without chipping. On my fingernails, the color chipped in about three days. I do have fine peeling nails that break easy. This polish does help. Keep them a little more coiffed and stronger. I do think it still needs a hard rock topcoat. The color range in the line is good ... Show more

UGH this product is an HG find I’ve been waiting for for YEARS. I’m someone who (as I seem to remember) has naturally nice but somewhat thin/bendy/breaky nails- now as a 30yo career bartender and regular rock climber on a mostly vegetarian diet, I really struggle with nail chipping, flaking and breakage. I wore acrylics for some time, then when gel nail polish became available I tried that, as well as dip, and dip/gel with tips. Chipping and breakage within 48 hours with dip and gel, and bacteria/tearing off issues with acrylics. I actually found this product at my local goodwill, which regularly carries NWT target clearance. I wouldn’t normally buy nail polish with my background but I thought “hey, maybe this is finally the one.” And it was!! This is the only ... I wouldn’t normally buy nail polish with my background but I thought “hey, maybe this is finally the one.” And it was!! This is the only polish I have ever liked and the only sustainable nail color for me with my **extremely** heavy lvl of wear and tear. I do have to carry the bottle with me for touch ups, as the tips of the polish tend to fade off softly, but I just stick it in my purse. The soft nude colors and soft finishes minimize the obviousness of wear, so that I don’t get chastised at work, and it is quick drying enough that I can touch up before a shift. Genuinely so grateful to be able to wear nail color again- never thought it would happen after countless 100s of $s spent at salons. The answer just was a great, breathable, long wear, nude shimmer polish that fits in my purse. Fab.... Show more

Later I did my toes and painted 3 coats for a bolder look. When I removed the polish, I did not have any staining which is what I usually experience if I'm not using a base coat. I only removed my polish once it started to chip noticeably (about 6-7 days) and surprisingly the polish remained glossy all the way up to the end. I'm used to my polishes going matte, but not in a good way :/ It's hard to say if my nails were stronger afterward. I do feel some improvement, and I'm looking forward to seeing how using this product longer term might make a difference.Pretty pleased with this polish, and since I was an essie fan before I tried TLC, I'm sure I'll be buying more shades in the near future. It is a little more than their usual polishes but for the longer wear and glossier finish, I think it's worth it!I received this polish as a gift.... Show more

I received this product free from Chick Advisor for review.I chose the color "A-game", which is a deep dusty burgundy. I paired it with another of essie's regular polish "penny talk" to compare wear (it just so happened that the colors complement each other very well!) This polish is an all in one, so I didn't use a base coat, nor a top coat. The polish applies like butter. It's a beautiful thick polish that you can almost get away with one coat. It dries quickly and I was able to resume my day within 15 minutes of applying the polish with no bumps or dents. The polish dries to a decent shine and seemed significantly darker once dry on my nails than it looked in the bottle. The brush isn't perfect. The polish dries to a decent shine and seemed significantly darker once dry on my nails than it looked in the bottle. The brush isn't perfect. I found mine to be jagged and it took some maneuvering but the formula was really easy to work with so it was a little more forgiving of the jagged brush. The first 2 days of the polish were flawless, there was no shrinkage, I didn't have any issues with cracking or chipping and this is all while going about my normal routine (Which includes washing dishes by hand) By the time day 3 came around there was noticeable tip wear of both the Essie TLC line and their regular polish. I was expecting more for staying power as I really don't see a difference between their regular polish and this TLC polish without a top coat. I think you can get away without the base coat, it has held on to my nail and it seems to be a decent strengthener (for the 4 days it's been on) but the tips wear and with my choice being a darker color I definitely notice the white line at the tip of my nails. Next time I use this color I'll reach for a top coat.As a side note for those that do nail stamping. This polish is thick and stamps wonderfully! But I come back to use a top coat because the stamping was starting to rub off after 3 days. I've also attached some photos. The first coat (it covers very well in one coat!) Two coats which has stamping, and then after 3 days of wear showing the wear on the tips. Both lines of polish have near identical wear with no top coat. I usually get 5-7 days out of a manicure.I was a little disappointed in the color selection. These are excellent fall colors, but coming up on spring I would really be looking for a bright full coverage color. I found these colors to be a little more dusty or sheer than I would have looked for in a spring line. Then again the swathes here don't do the colors justice. I'll be keeping my eye on this line!... Essie TLC gave my nails positive results!
I was beyond excited when I discovered I would get the chance to try the new Essie Treat Love & Color strengthener nail polish from Pinchme as a free sample to try. My nails have needed some help for quite a while now. As I have gotten older, have children, peeling my nail polish off, my nails seem to be more brittle, break easily, and the skin on my nails peel. I'm not sure if it's my hormones or what exactly. I have been using Essie TLC strengthener nail polish for a couple of weeks now and I am pleasantly surprised with the outcome! I received the color Laven-dearly and when I first applied the nail polish I noticed the beautiful purple subtle shiny sheer color coverage. I received the color Laven-dearly and when I first applied the nail polish I noticed the beautiful purple subtle shiny sheer color coverage. I really love the color because it doesn't stand too dramatically out and it's more professionally looking and also I can wear pretty much any outfit with the nail polish. It's very easy to apply although it does seem to take a little longer to dry. I also like how it leaves even coverage and doesn't leave any streaks behind but I'm not too fond of the strong product odor when applying or on my nails afterwards. I really like how it's a one step treatment and I like the unique wide flat stem tip above the brush allowing the nail polish to glide on perfectly without streaks leaving a flawless finish! My nails seem to look so much healthier and stronger after using this nail polish for two weeks but I noticed them getting better and stronger after only a week! I haven't had any breakages and the Polish seems to stay on my nails longer than other nail polish I have used in the past. Overall, I am highly satisfied and I feel like my nails will keep getting stronger and healthier with continued usage! Thank you Essie and Pichme for allowing me to sample this amazing product!... Too transparent
I bought this about a week ago and I have to say I’m quite disappointed, may be I didn’t really realise what was the product. I can’t comment on the « treat » aspect, but I do not like the appearance of this nail polish on my nails. The colour itself (berry best) is pretty, but it is too transparent so you can see the nail underneath. It might be good if you have brittle nails and try to make them stronger, but that’s not what I’m looking for.... Show more
