Eufy 5-in-1 Security Alarm Kit T8990C21

Live in Hawke's Bay, after 2 break in's within 6 days at our workshop, we ordered this kit as well as the 3 Eufy camera kit. It was easy to setup, I searched and followed a great youtube video on how to do this. We installed the 3 camera's, 2 outside and 1 inside. We installed this keypad, motion sensor and entry sensor near the front door. We downloaded the Eufy app and were able to see all the camera's from our phones. Takes a bit of playing to get the exact setup required, but was able to do pretty much everything we wanted. Anyway, would you believe, just over 24 hours after we installed the system, we got notified on our phones that there was human motion on the app. So we looked at the live stream, and sure enough, there was someone breaking in. The alarm sounded once he got inside, and we were able to speak through the camera inbuilt speaker to PISS OFF and that the police were on their way ! It automatically recorded the footage of the guy running away, which was hilarious! Unfortunately the night vision footage wasn't clear enough for the police to find the intruder, but nonetheless, he didn't get any of our tools on the 3rd attempt, and no break-ins since ! The equipment has already paid for itself within 24 hours.

The Eufy system is very easy to setup in the app and you are able to customise all settings at any time, simply and with good options. The mobile app is well thought out and easy to use. The working distance between Homebase and sensors is strong - now have a entry sensor on the garage side door which is separated from the house by about 35m that the old system couldn't do. Entry sensors have a wide separation range between sensor and magnet which allows for better mounting options. Notifications arrive on the phone within 1-2 seconds of an alarm being triggered. Have added extra entry sensors and looking at buying a couple of cameras to supplement the system. If there are cons to the product I haven't found any yet that might affect my use. If you do find one it can probably be customised through the app. P.S. the alarm is loud enough, which you can customise. I don't need to disturb all the neighbours, but an intruder will know an alarm has been triggered and you know in 1-2 seconds on the app notification. You can customise the alarm to turn off after 30 seconds and also vary alarm exit and entry delays. PBTech delivered very quickly as usual.

I already have a security system in my rental unit but it's not pet friendly so I bought this one instead. The motion detector needs to be angled so as to not pick up the pet's path but it works well. My cat is not setting it off. I love that I can turn on parts of the system while leaving others off and that I can have day/sleep and all sorts of modes. It's also great to be able to control it all from my phone and very quickly switch it to armed mode before bed from the app rather than using the key pad.

The product was easy to install and easy to use. However it does not have a very loud siren to it. It is turned up to its maximum volume but I cant even hear it out side. I got it thinking that if I was away it would be loud enough to scare of the burglars and alarm my neighbours to my house so hopefully they might see something car rego maybe or something. You can even just pull the connection out the back of the siren and that stops the noise. It does alert you if someone one is in your house but it is not a deterrent. As it is too easy to switch of siren and it is not even very loud my tv is louder than that.

A toy only

The system is only usable as an internal alarm when you are at home. The siren in the base station is not loud enough to alert anyone outside the home. The sensors do not integrate into any other smart system, so that you cannot automate any other external siren. Also, there seems to be no backup battery for the home base available in Australia, so you need to get your hands on a separate UPS system in case of power outage. Essentially, this system is a toy only but not a proper security system. I recommend using a different manufacturer or think about using cameras where automation can be across other systems.

An Excellent Tool

I used the flashlight as Correctional Officer in Arizona. The Anker flashlight provides both safety and security to the user, l always carried it and used it both day and night. The flashlights that both me and my wife own are in constant use for us around the house, fishing, hunting and in the great outdoors. We have equipped our family members and friends with the same flashlights as gifts and they love them. This is truly a great tool that we recommend to everyone.

Awesome Product

I purchased this alarm system about 6 months ago, it's brilliant. Being a Eufy product installation was simple & everything just connected as it was meant too. The door sensors & motion detectors are simple to install & pair with ease. The only minor problem is the siren isn't very loud, however the alerts to my phone are almost instant & I have added a vibration sensor to the base station which triggers an external siren. No lock-in contracts or ongoing monthly fee. I would highly recommend this alarm system.

Very quickly setup and ready to go, straight out of the box. Very impressed. Looks great and feels solid. Tip - you can only setup the home base wireless connection via the app itself....I missed this one personally but found it later on when looking into the app in more detail....
