The drain point is about 10mm above the internal floor level, so it doesn’t drain easily. You can see excess foam insulation around the bottom corner protectors and around the hinges. Lots of yellowing glue visible at the joints where they joined the plastic to the fiber glass. The stickers used for the evaKool branding are massive and detract from the already ugly esky. When the plastic sticker is removed, it leaves behind sticky glue that collects debri, and detracts from the unit even further. Unfortunately i bought two of these evaKool boxes, 30 litre and a larger 60+ litre unit. The 60 litre esky already has stress fractures in the fibreglass lid. Australian made, and unfortunately, you can tell, and not in the good way. Rough uneven plastics, sharp edges, Aluminium pop rivers, panels don’t line up, underwhelming performance. This is a falcon / commoodoor esky. I’m happy to pay shipping costs to return both of them and get my money back.

It’s seems quality control is poor on this model. The one I had delivered had the lid hinges fitted incorrectly so it would not seal. When I returned to the store 5/6 units they had were also poorly assembled. I found and older one in a box that was made correctly.

Great size for a few days away. Not as heavy as i thought itll be after filling it up full of food and drinks. Esky stays nice and cool depending how you pack it. Mine had warped as i left it in the sun to dry, but doesnt affect its performance. Overall, very happy and cant wait to use it again

The evakool is pretty good at keeping things cool and ice frozen as long as the drain plug doesnt leak. Mine leaked from new and despite tightening continued to leak. I put an "o" ring in it and after a few tightenings stopped leaking. I am hoping it remains leak free or i may have to return it to get one that doesnt leak.

Good quality product, everything feels well built. The insulation performance was surprisingly good. We used it for a 3 day camping trip and there was no need to top up ice at all, even though ambient temps were pretty high and we left the Evacool stored in the car. There were no issues with the contents thawing out. I can definitely believe when they say you can hold ice for up to 6 days. The only thing that would make it better is some wheels to make it easier to move around.

Our first purchase of this ice box arrived and I tested it by filling with water, and the bung leaked. So I contacted snowys via the warranty page, and they were super quick with the returns process. We debated whether to buy the same icebox again, and decided to give it a go, as this was the perfect size for us, dimension and volume wise. It arrived in record time! And no leaks. We took it camping and were impressed that it kept everything at or below 4C or for 5 days. We used techniice packs and a heap of pre-cooked frozen food in containers. Day 6 temp rose to around 8C and day 7 when we were heading home, was around 18C. Super impressed it lasted that long. Looking forward to a 10 day trip with this icebox. We have had this cooler for a few months now and it hasn’t missed a beat. Been camping for 3 days in the summer heat and it stayed fridge cold the entire time. Even had the kids going in and out if it and left the lid up once! Had ice blocks that only started to melt on last day, which is amazing considering how often the lid was opened. Evacool claims that it keeps cold for 6 days, I haven’t tested it for that long yet, but if only opened when necessary I’m sure it would stay cold. Couldn’t be happier.

Only camped 2 nights with so far but about a cup full of ice had melted in the 2 litre bottles I had frozen during that time.Happy to know i can get replacement parts for the day when the elastic is too streatched or the handles snap or the hinges break, not that it feels like they will but these seem like the only parts that would break, the rest seems indestructible! I can carry it myself and i can easy fit half a carton, 3 days worth of food for 7 people and the ice in there, it coped with keeping topping up the drinks fine.
