I managed to get my hands on one of these around Jan 18th. The card runs great, and benchmark scores without extensive tuning puts it right in the middle of the pack on 3Dmark results, as I would have hoped. It's a welcome upgrade to a GTX970, as it runs the newer game well and the 3-4 years old game super smoothly.I was unsure about the look of the card upon purchasing (my preference was for a FE, Strix or similar cards), but I have to say it looks quite decent in person (they did change the "clown lips" end piece to black, thankfully). Mounted horizontally in a 4000x case, it looks right as home, with minimal GPU sag thanks to a well thought-out heatsink (The 970 Strix it's replacing had a very bad sag).

Coming from and RX 580 and using AMD cards my whole life I thought now would be a good time to switch to team green. Now I see what everybody is talking about with the better drivers, additional features like DLSS - Raytracing, and overall polish that NVIDIA provides. After using DLSS 2.0 I can say it truly does feel like a magic button that gives more FPS at no sacrifice to quality. All I can say in closing is AMD does give a good price to performance, but after experiencing Nvidia. It's clear AMD isn't there yet for the extra quality of life features I didn't realize I was missing until now. The grass really is greener on the other side.

Thanks to the ATR Stonks Discord for the alert. It's a great card, if does everything a 3070 should do, and it's super compact (for a 3 fan design) and very good for noise and staying cool under load. I like that the output panel is all black and minimal RGB (just the EVGA logo)."UNFORTUNATELY" I have a high refresh 3440x1440p monitor and the 3070 falls short on performance in more demanding titles. Why have a $1900 monitor if I can't get the most out of it.So for that reason, I'm holding out for a 3080 or 3080 Ti, and returning this if I can make the window, or selling at cost.If you game in 1440p high refresh or lower, this card is all you'll need. It can probably do 4K60 decently enough too.But I was only getting 80-90 fps in Warzone where a 3080 will max out my g sync locked at a buttery smooth 120. Just need more memory on the card unfortunately.

First, let me once again thank Adorama for acquiring this graphics card when it seemed like there were none available, and at a fair price. The EVGA GeForce RTX 3070 XC3 Ultra 8GB GDDR6 Gaming Graphics Card has been fantastic. It is extremely fast and makes gaming and everything else much more enjoyable. This card allows us to play games that we never could under the old graphics card and installation was extremely simple, even for someone like myself that is not tech savvy. We definitely recommend this graphics card and Adorama and their excellent customer service. Thanks again.
This is one of the best GPUs you can get for the money. Great value. It handles everything with ease. The physical hardware feels/looks premium. My only gripe is that I didn't notice this is an LHR (Lite Hash Rate) version of the GPU. It's not a deal-breaker, but it would've been nice to have access to the card's full hash rate. The product title needs to include "LHR" to let consumers know.Since May, all Nvidia GPUs have been manufactured with LHR to help deter miners from buying these cards. You can still mine with this card, but the hash rate for ETH has been limited to half via driver software update. However, you can mine anything else using the full hash rate. This I have verified.
Overall, I'd say the transition from integrated Graphics to this RTX 3070 has been a positive experience. I'm able to play games with RT enabled now. So far I have only played Shadow of The Tomb Raider and Rise of The Tomb Raider with RT, but I was blown away by how it looks. The game looks completely different than how it did playing on my Xbox One X. And with the addition of DLSS, RT is actually playable. Honestly couldn't be happier with my purchase.
Tough price to pay but I am glad I did as prices are still increasing and stock levels are still terrible! I moved from a 1070ti to this also going from 1080p to 1440p and it is an amazing card for 1440p.Paired with a ryzen 5 3600 and 16gb 3200mhz RAM. Currently playing AC:Valhalla at 1440p Ultra High settings (max) at 60 - 70 always. Cyberpunk runs Ultra settings 1440p 70 - 80 fps. I use DLSS to use Ray Tracing so have DLSS set to BALANCED, Ray Tracing ON with RT reflections ON and Ray Traced Lighting MEDIUM. Stable 60fps.Apex Legends 1440p great fps with some settings off i play at 165 as this is my monitor refresh.**THIS VERSION HAS NO BACKPLATE** not a deal breaker for me personally.Super quiet fans kick in around 60c or so but still quiet.Would recommend ... MoreTough price to pay but I am glad I did as prices are still increasing and stock levels are still terrible! Most of my thoughts have been covered above. Overall, I'd say the transition from my AMD RX 5700 XT to this RTX 3070 has been a positive experience. I'm able to play games with RT enabled now. So far I have only played Cyberpunk 2077 with RT, but I was blown away by how it looks. The game looks completely different than how it did playing with my RX 5700 XT. And with the addition of DLSS, RT is actually playable. Honestly couldn't be happier with my purchase.
I haven't had the time yet to test this extensively with many games, but I can run Red Dead Online at max quality with the FPS pegged at 75 FPS (vertical synced on a 75Hz Monitor). Like the rest of the world, I wish this had a little more RAM so I could be confident that I'm future ready. Coming from a RTX2060 with 6GB,and a GTX1060 with 6GB before that, this 8GB doesn't seem like a big increase...especially when the RTX 3060 has 12GB. It makes no sense to me, but people say there are reasons for this. I just hope that in a few years time I will not have to sacrifice quality settings on more modern games to keep my memory usage in check. For the price I paid, I don't think 16GB would be too much to ask, but from the sound of things.....it would be overkill anyway.
This was a brand new card and the box arrived with no damage. This was simply a defective card that eVGA clearly did not quality control to ensure that it was working properly. I double-checked power connectors, proper driver installation, and it just flat out didn't work. I put my 1080ti back in my system and everything was fine again. I will try RMAing with eVGA and will consider upgrading the review based upon how well that goes.
