This 40-watt 1x12 combo evolves from the acclaimed EVH 5150III amplifiers, offering that signature searing sound and growling gain that defined Eddie's groundbreaking career. Designed by renowned amp engineer James Brown, the amplifier is powered by two JJ 6L6 power tubes and voiced with two JJ ECC83S preamp tubes, providing serious firepower for the modern guitarist. The combo punches well above its weight with two channels, each featuring an additional voicing for maximum versatility. The Green channel includes an overdrive button that takes you from pristine cleans to increased gain, while the Red channel's burn button adds fiery crunch that's perfect for blistering leads. Each channel has independent gain and volume controls for seamless level-matching when switching between clean and high gain sounds. Built with an MDF cabinet featuring special internal plywood baffling for tight bass response, the amp houses a custom-designed EVH 12′′ Celestion speaker voiced specifically for this preamp circuit. The control panel features shared EQ (Low, Mid and High), global resonance and presence knobs, plus a global reverb control. Additional features include a channel two noise gate with quick attack, a Boost control adding 10dB of foot-switchable volume, effects loop, dual parallel speaker outputs, and a ¼ power switch for bedroom-friendly practice sessions. The amplifier comes complete with a two-button footswitch and features a speaker-emulated DI XLR output with power amp mute for direct recording or PA use. Wrapped in black textured vinyl with a black cloth grille, the combo sports silver and black 5150 and EVH logo badges, brushed aluminium top panel, vintage-style chicken-head knobs, and a moulded black plastic handle.
