The advantage of the Exo Terra Repti Glo Compact Fluorescent bulb is its size and the fact that it is self-ballasted. A regular screw fitting is sufficient to operate these bulbs. This type of light burns reptiles eyes. It's due to the coil construction of the bulb they are also very dangerous in the fact that they burn very fast. You can see the scorch burns at the base of the coil. This lets of poisonous fumes that will give your reptile breathing issues and kill them. They are also very badly made and the actual coil part tends to be lose from the base screw in part.DO NOT BUY!!

My package was expected August 2nd but it got here on July 29! Tried it out on the vivarium I built for a gonatodes vittatus microgecko who come from subtropical forests with some sunlight and minimal UV that this puts and to grow live plants in a bioactive setup that it will be. It looks amazing on the hardscape wood and clay background!

This light is good for Gouldian Finches who need full spectrum. My first one lasted 18 months would have gone on longer but it fell down! Second one so far so good!
Worked great for a month but now won't work. I have used EXO Terra before but have never seen this in their products. Stopped working during a time were I really needed a heat source. Really not great.
This product was the cheapest I could find anywhere on the internet. Good quality product. Would definitely recommend.

These arrived perfect. I ordered some 150W black bulbs as well, 1 was fine, other didnt work at all. 1 bulb out of 4 didnt work. I use this and another light, as well as heat for both my beardie and my ball. No issues with these. Long lasting. I replace about every 6 months
