Also removes some strategy since you can't count Attacks anymore, nor can you try to predict what else is left in the deck, so it also introduces an element of randomness to a game that is already meant to be Russian Roulette (which depending on the person, is either good or extremely bad). For my group, Recipes for Disaster still remains the way to go, and I'll just incorporate Zombie Kittens into my recipes. The 2-player mode is fun as-is, but again, it doesn't feel complete - I miss the Barking Kitten or Streaking Kitten so I'll have to add them into my next play sessions. So yeah, buy it anyway.

This is such a fun card game. The instructions are easy to understand and it is quick to jump into the first game. This is great especially for kids or new players because it doesnt take long to explain the rules. Each card has an explanation written on it of what it does so you dont have to memorize or refer back to the rules. I also like that it is suitable for 2 or more players. The instructions tell you which cards to remove or keep in play depending on how many players you have. It is definitely more fun with more players though. Gameplay is also pretty quick so people arent getting bored or feeling like its taking forever. The cards are great quality, they feel almost like plastic. Fundamentally flawed, no one can win
27 December 2022

I would like to give this game a 4 instead of a 1 because it's fun (4+ players only, 2-3 players isn't fun), but there is a fundamental flaw with the game that prevents anyone from winning. When you draw an exploding kitten and you don't have a zombie card, according to the rules, you just keep that card in front of you. Assuming you have 4 players that leaves 3 alive players and 2 kittens left in the deck. Now a second player draws an exploding kitten, has a zombie card so they revive along with the first dead player and shuffle the exploding kitten back in the deck. Now this leaves 4 alive players and 2 exploding kittens in the deck, meaning it's unwinable. It only gets worse the more it happens. If it happens again in the same game that's 4 alive players and 1 ... MoreI would like to give this game a 4 instead of a 1 because it's fun (4+ players only, 2-3 players isn't fun), but there is a fundamental flaw with the game that prevents anyone from winning. When you draw an exploding kitten and you don't have a zombie card, according to the rules, you just keep that card in front of you. Meaning there probably wasn't QA testing. Real shame.

Great Twist on a Classic!
26 August 2022

Zombie Kittens is a fresh, or I guess in this instance rotting, take on the original game. Friends no longer have to sit and wait (occasionally impatiently) on the next round after exploding! Death is not the end and there is a new element of strategy with the Zombie Kitten cards. If you are like me and have the original game, Imploding Kittens, Streaking Kittens, AND Barking Kittens, and you'll experience a super random litter of cards that will constantly keep you guessing what cards your enemies have in their paws. It can be overwhelming to use them all if you do not have friends/family that have played before so ease them into each as you go. My only complaint is not having a box to keep them all in! They also are a tight fit when sleeved.

I expected better.
12 November 2022

TLDR: A welcome edition, great quality as always, was not supposed to just mix it all into my all expansions included deck. The addition is nice n all that, my friends and I can finally all play together, but theres just waaay too much filler cards. Perhaps because this was supposed to be a standalone game, now that I think of it.But even then, my group did not really like this one that much... they stopped playing EK shortly after I bought this because the game takes too long. At the suggestion of others in the same situation the recommendation is take out the cards we dont want, or need, or like. Ill try doing that and see again.Personally, I still like the game, and totally recommend this purchase.

To start, I love these games. We have a few by the same makers....they're weird, and crazy and totally perfect for my family. We already have the original, so of course we needed zombie kittens too because....why not?! These 2 games can be played together, but we haven't dont that yet. What we love about zombie kittens is that when players get out....they still have a chance to come back into the game, and certain cards can be played on them, so it keeps everyone engaged! Also, because players can come back to life, it really changes the dynamic, and sometimes the person who was out first can win the game (what?!). Same great Exploding Kittens, fun new Zombie Rules!
5 March 2023

My family really enjoyed this game. We already own Exploding Kittens and enjoy it, so we were excited to give Zombie Kittens a try. It is a VERY similar game with one small twist that changes everything! Now there are zombie kittens which allow you to come back from the dead! Plus all of the cards have more spooky zombie themed art (but still kid appropriate). It is a lot of fun, it was fast to learn the rules (especially since we played the original), and it is different enough to mix it up and make your game strategy entirely different. We all loved playing this!

Super fun and now those who are out of the game early have reason for hope!
26 August 2022

I love exploding kittens. I bring it out every game night, social gathering, and family dinner (much to the chagrin of my older relatives). I usually win, though on the occasion I lose, I am a good sport.. I promise. However, inevitably, someone is always knocked out early in the game. And they are forced to sit and watch the nope wars and antics of the rest of the player, usually nose in their phones. But now, they have hope to be reborn in a unholy resurrection as a zombie kitten. Thank you for bringing these poor souls hope.

Very different but fun
26 June 2022

We played this as family of 4. My daughter who is 6 even enjoyed it. It took a little bit for us to catch on to what was happening but then it clicked. We should of listened to the directions and just watched the video instead of reading them.We love games at our house and this one kept us on out toes the entire time. I like how you are never really out and can be saved. The game was kind of long but not bad as once the pile is gone you are done. I think because it was out first time it went long as we were figuring things out as we went.Overall fun and would recommend for older children.
