So if you're new to Exploding Kittens, just buy this one directly, don't bother with anything else (even the original) yet. Also removes some strategy since you can't count Attacks anymore, nor can you try to predict what else is left in the deck, so it also introduces an element of randomness to a game that is already meant to be Russian Roulette (which depending on the person, is either good or extremely bad).For my group, Recipes for Disaster still remains the way to go, and I'll just incorporate Zombie Kittens into my recipes.The 2-player mode is fun as-is, but again, it doesn't feel complete - I miss the Barking Kitten or Streaking Kitten so I'll have to add them into my next play sessions.So yeah, buy it anyway.

This is such a fun card game. The instructions are easy to understand and it is quick to jump into the first game. This is great especially for kids or new players because it doesnt take long to explain the rules. Each card has an explanation written on it of what it does so you dont have to memorize or refer back to the rules. I also like that it is suitable for 2 or more players. The instructions tell you which cards to remove or keep in play depending on how many players you have. It is definitely more fun with more players though. Gameplay is also pretty quick so people arent getting bored or feeling like its taking forever. The cards are great quality, they feel almost like plastic. You cant play by yourself.Decided to play with my 11 year old niece.Instructions are kinda easy to understand. I had to read them a couple of times We were confused at first, but we got it little by little.
