It works, speed is ok for such a drive. SMART works too, though under Debian I had to switch the driver from uas to usb-storage for this to function. SMART under Windows (eg CrystalDiskInfo) works without fiddling around.

A very affordable storage solution. Not as fast as SDD but you would not notice the difference under normal use. I use it for backups and storing a large number of phoyographs that were clogging up my PC's hard drive. Excellent value for money.

Compact and easy to use.

Great removeable drive for backing up all my computer files. Plug and play - as simple to use as a pen drive on my Windows 10 desktop computer. I just plug it in and, then drag and drop my files. It is small and compact and comes with a USB cable.

Compact external hdd looks good and does the job ie; backups although not using seagate backup software. As usual, prompt service from Scan.

Gets the job done

Its a great external drive. Im using it for a year now to store all of my media files, movies and TV shows. Mainly 4k 10 bit HDR large files that I watch over my PC connected to TV, or directly conected to my bedroom TV. It works excelent, no stuttering. Its compact and easy to carry. It deos not need external power supply, it powered via USB.

HUGE MEMORY BUT SIMPLE TO USE OFF USB POWER AND COMPACT

I wanted a compact, no frills external hard drive that could run on USB and does not require mains power. This Seagate drive fits my requirements perfectly (in fact I have since bought a second one). It's so simple to use too. Years ago I bought a Seagate drive and it's worked perfectly so I trusted this brand.

OK for large storage but has draw backs compared to 2TB versions

great for major storage, but a bit temperamental, not as stable as 2TB versions that l have had for years, sometimes throws wobbly on large transfer files like videos, blue screens you, and needs reboot to connect it ag so really needs to be connected all the time. May well work better on a modern computer, mines 7 years old, but great and no problems. hindsight should have brought two of the 2TB version's, never had any problems with those they are brilliant

OKAY for what was needed and expected

Cheap and Cheerful, client wanted to pay as little as possible for a video shoot in the middle east. these drives certainly fulfilled those needs. overheated a lot during large data transfers. Build quality is fairly flimsy.

The body plastic is so-so, but the cheapest WB looks terrible. The connector for the wire seems to be reliable, there were no troubles with the reading. Same speed as normal HDD

Pros: Does exactly what it says on the box. Plug into usb and drag and drop files. No additional setup required.Cons: This cheaper version is only setup for PC use you would need to configure if you want to use on a Mac. That said there is a slightly more expensive version that can store both formats, so pay your money and make your choice. Overall excellent product for price.
