An ideal alternative to traditional pastels, the 4.3mm oil-free lead is sheathed in a wooden casing, just like a normal pencil, and goes a long way to preventing the dirty fingers and piles of coloured dust that usually result from working with pastels! Colours can be blended and smudged as preferred, and a good sharp point is perfect for fine lines and detailing. Lead contains a high level of acid-free pigment with superb lightfastness. It's very compact and therefore economical to use. Only minimal fixing is required, to ensure artworks retain their vivid colours.
