This is THE only commercial cat food my 20 year old cat will eat and I have tried them all- I think. Other than puréed raw liver and puréed fresh shrimp and fish. He is of an age that he only licks his food and doesnt chew so if its not of the right consistency he will not do anything more than lick the liquid off the food and leave the rest. He loves the juice from the shreds, etc but will not eat the shreds, just licks the juice off. This Savory Centers I can mix well and he will lick almost all of it up. He has about two cans a day. Another trick to boost the food intake a bit is to add a little Kitten Milk Replcer (powder) with a very small amount of water to this food. NEVER use any type of cow milk! Its a killer for older cats as well as newborn kittens. Use only kitten replacement milk or goats milk.

I bought a can of the Savory Centers for a cat I was taking care of for a friend. That cat eats wet food all the time. My cat tried the Savory Centers and ate it with delight! Now when I go in the kitchen, my cat follows me and sits by her bowl meowing at me and wanting me to give her some of the Savory Centers instead of her dry food! I guess she's decided that Savory Centers is something she wants on a regular basis. This is a very good tuna pate and one that is in quality and style, that is pate texture closet the USA made Gourmet Delight Tuna Pate which is available in most pet stores in Europe. This particular Fancy Feast flavour is made in France so it probably explains why the quality is better as they would need to compete with the previous mentioned brand.My two fur babies have just arrived from Europe and they both grew up on Gourmet delights smooth tuna and salmon pâtés, but at $2.39 a tin of 85g they ate going to have to learn to adjust and mix it with other types.But mean while they love this Tuna pate, it's consistency and flavour, I know this by how quickly they eat it.

This food has changed everything for my finicky cat! My 15-year-old kitty has renal failure and almost no appetite. I have tried all kinds of foods to try to tempt her and thrown out more than I care to mention. She licks the gravy off the Fancy Feast Florentine and other brands as well but has been leaving the meat in the bowl. It's so frustrating to throw away expensive food, but even more upsetting to watch her losing weight and walking away from food that she tolerated just a day or two ago. It's very runny in overall textureMy cat loved this food and ate all of it within minutes. That, which is the main concern with any canned food, outside of quality of ingredients, Fancy Feast passes with flying colors.However, the runny nature of this canned product makes it a bit messy to serve and I'm not a fan of that.So, while this is a 4 star product in terms of my cat's enjoyment, it's a 3 star product overall because of the runny texture.I do recommend this but at the same time, I feel there are better options in the Fancy Feast family of products.Cheers!
