This handle shape, combined with the angled head, gives you better traction and maximises the force exerted when cutting. The non-slip coating gives the handles a secure grip, and the rubber cushion shock absorber reduces impact on the wrists. Like Model No 2, the lightweight, sturdy handles are forged from strong aluminium alloy and the cutting and anvil blades from high-quality hardened steel. The blades are set on dowel pins for easy maintenance and replacement. The secateurs have a toothed centre nut that makes it easy to align the cutting and anvil blades precisely for a clean, accurate cut. The blades feature a wire-cutting notch to protect the cutting surface when trimming wire, and a sap groove to prevent sticking and remove debris when pruning soft stems. All parts are replaceable, so your secateurs can always stay strong and sharp. A safety catch keeps the secateurs securely locked when not in use. As with any steel blades, it’s best to clean them with fresh water and dry well after use to prevent corrosion.
