Though my cats love this food, the consistency is a bit offputting. When I first tried putting water with it, I left it in its original shape, it did not absorb any of the water at all so I dumped the water. The second time trying to feed it, I crushed the pieces up (which was quite difficult for it being freeze-dried), and I tried mixing the water with the crushed pieces and again, it didn't absorb any of the water at all, it was just sitting in it. And the recommendations are way too much for one cat (i halved the amount and split it again for 2 meals) also considering they get mostly filled up with water. I wasn't satisfied with this one sadly (which is unfortunate because most other F.D foods have vegetables which a cat shouldn't be eating) so I'll just be using ... I have two cats rescued off the kids when they were kittens a few years ago when they both became badly ill. I had been looking after them since they were about 10 weeks old. One of them was the runt of the litter who I noticed was putting on and loosing weight in a recurring cycle over 4 to 6 months at a time which worried me. Both cats were already on a good grain free kibble but I wanted to find something else that could supplement their existing food as a snack, that was healthy and good for them. When I came across the two varieties of Feline Natural dry food I decided to try them out. The cats love it and come up to me happily when I give them their Feline Natural snack. High protein, high meat content. No carbs or fillers. Feeding this keeps my cats lean and satiated. And they love it. Sometimes I add water to make it a meal, other times I use the crumbs as a topper on their raw food meals, or I just serve as a dry food snack if I'm going to be out all day.

My 2 cats weren't sold on this as just replacing their old biscuits...however if i crumb it up and spread it over their wet food they love eating it. Um trying to get them off "bad" dried food. This one is a winner. However they definitely don't like it soaked and mushy as is suggested in the packet as well.
My cat loves this food. I love this food for him because it contains high quality human grade ingredients with minimal processing. Bobby is on a species-appropriate raw food diet mos to of the time, so I appreciate having this food on hand when I don't have his regular food thawed in time or just to give him a well deserved change. Variety is the spice of life. I also want to mention that I am a relatively new customer of Homes Alive but their choice of products for all pets is outstanding along with their prompt service in not only fulfilling my orders but in their replies to any questions or concerns I may have.
Ever since I fed my cat this, she started refusing to eat cheaper food (still beef frozen dry but a little bit cheaper). Even when she lost appetite during hot summer, she still meowed with excitement when I picked up this bag. I guess she can really tell this is the best food in the market. I'm now super poor but anything for my most loved baby. A note to other parents: if you are not financially ready to fully switch to this one, use this as a topper sparingly or go half and half. Otherwise you'd find it's impossible to switch to anything else.
Since adding this as a light topper to my girls' wet food, they are both polishing their bowls. Previously one in particular was leaving a lot of her wet food uneaten. My girls also have a history of digestive issues so we have to be careful with what we feed them and there's been no issues since introducing this slowly into their diet. Very happy with this product. *Note: they will not eat it if I try and rehydrate it in water, so right now it's only given to them as the freeze dried topper over their wet food only.
The cat is addicted to all these freeze driedtreats flavours from Feline Natural. Top notch ingredients and so good for your cat. We use mostly as treats and as an occasional food topping, not rich enough to use as a full meal They last a while and guarantee the cat comes running when I offer treaties. I originally used them as a kennel training tool before we flew internationally and by the end she was begging to be closed in the kennel so she could eat these treats. I'm so happy we discovered a great kiwi product in Los Angeles and was very relieved to see them in Oz, though not as readily available as I'd like :) So glad I found them here!
It's NATURAL REAL food. My 5 month old kitten love it!! She just purring and purring when she finds I'm gonna feed this. It's bit expensive but worth and actually it last long than I expected 👍 I mix with wet food or soak in the warm water with dry food because she prefer wet food and also worry about dehydration . Highly recommend!
my little girl loves these! she knows the sound of the packet and gets excited when I say "want some sprinkles?!" They are an excellent topper over dry biscuits. I crumb them so they are smaller sometimes. They last a long time and this is my second purchase!
