A great quality guitar amp

I bought this guitar amp because I know that the bigger the speaker the more sound . The Acoustic G10 Guitar Amp was the only inexpensive amp I saw on Ebay that had a speaker larger than 6 inches . I love the fact that the Acoustic Amp has an 8 inch speaker . The build quality is exceptional . The amp is used on my electrical/ acoustic guitar . It allows a fuller sound on the acoustic guitar and makes the guitar sound like an all electric guitar with the ability to ad distortion . I don't believe there could be a better guitar amp for the price . I would buy it again in a heartbeat .

Im really disappointed with this amp. I know its not supposed to be super loud because its only 10 W, but I was hoping that the sound quality would be better. The sound reproduction frequencies are all mid range. Sounds like cardboard. Color is grey. Bass and treble tones are all but nonexistent. The eq is useless because speaker cannot reproduce bass and treble frequencies. The sound is very cheap and does not give a representation of the Fender vibe whatsoever. You are better off just playing your guitar with no amplifier at all rather than using this, because it make a good guitar sound bad. I equate the sound to that of an a.m. transistor radio. Its really bad. I actually read some of the favorable reviews on this amplifier before I bought it, and Im seriously ... MoreIm really disappointed with this amp. There are better practice amps with better fidelity out there, and I would avoid this one if your ear demands quality sound.

Decent enough

I bought this amp to have a small, cheap portable amp to play harmonica through. For that, it is decent enough. I use a Shure bullet mic and the amp produces good enough tone and is plenty loud for practice or small gigs. When I plug my tele into it the clean channel is decent and clear, but the overdrive channel is junk and hurts my ears. I would rather run the clean channel and use a fuzz or distortion pedal. So that being said it is decent enough to practice licks on and it is tiny so it tucks away easy. If you look around you can find a bigger amp with more features used for the same price but if you want a new amp, this one is probably worth what they charge for it. I would only buy it if you have a specific purpose for it though.

Disappointed as expected

It's small, and pretty portable. However, the sound quality is trash, given the speaker is tiny, but the overdrive is just horrible. If you buy this, try returning it. If you can't return it, just get a fuzz pedal and leave it on clean. Imo, just buy the mustang lt25-50

Fine, Versatile Amp

A guitarist for over 30 years, I've owned many amps. For rock and metal, nothing beats a Marshall. Fender generally leans more towards satisfying clear projection objectives, say, jazz or acoustic-based music. But if one is looking for a good little amp for home use or band practice, this amp projects a decent, ringing tone, has enough features to modify that tone, produces decent gain for a heavier edge, and works well with all pedals. It is indeed a genuine amp. Keeping the amp sound clean and using a Boss distortion pedal lends to an even sharper metal sound, and additional tone modification. Whether a beginner or more experienced player, this amp will cover your modest objectives; 10 watts is louder than you'd think, and the tone of this Frontman isn't ... MoreA guitarist for over 30 years, I've owned many amps. It's a decent line of amps; I own a larger one as well. Your needs and goals, within boundaries, will not be compromised with this amp--whether they be acoustic, classic rock, jazz, recording, or elsewhere. It's a bargain buy. Save your Marshall for when you're playing the Garden.

Great first amp/practise amp

Got this as my first proper amp for my electric guitar and it's really decent. The sound is good, the aesthetics are awesome, and it has an overdrive button. The overdrive is a little reluctant unless you turn the other dials right up, but once it's there, it's AWESOME.

Great little practice amp

I have the cousin of this amp the sp10 with only volume, bass and treble controls and overdrive button. The reason I'm making this review is because this amp might get overlooked and I believe it's a very decent practice amp. When I was learning to play guitar I only used the clean channel because the overdrive channel sounded horrible ie. fizzy. Couple years later, after getting better at playing guitar and developing proper touch, I realized that you have to use your guitar volume to add the amount of overdrive, distortion and fuzz. Basically, turn the volume on the amp to the desired volume level and then use your guitar volume knob to add in amount of distortion you want. You also have to mute strings otherwise you'll get mush. It's loud enough for home use playing by yourself to backing tracks. For learning guitar you really don't need anything more than this amp, imo.

Great small amp!

I have about five amps and 11 guitars that I use. some are more high end and expensive amps and guitars and some are cheap and basic gear. As far as portable amps, I also have a Fender Champ 20 and an Orange Crush 12.Similar to the Orange Crush 12, this amp only has basic controls. Which is actually not a bad thing. Very easy to operate. In my opinion, this sounds better than the Fender Champ 20 a bit and is easier to use. The Champ 20 has some settings you can change. But, nothing really useful in my opinion. The Frontman has very basic settings and it also has a clean and overdrive channel that you can select. It has a pretty good level of sound and is perfect for practice. I keep this amp and a basic squire guitar in my office and sometimes when I want to take a break, I play a little. Even with no one in the office, i never turn it up more than 4 on the volume knob.I think for a portable compact practice amp, this is one of the best at the price point.

I’ve just started to learn the guitar. Won’t say play cause I’m not there yet lol.The items well built and is loud enough to fill a large room and possibly the neighbours too.Basic functions with volume tone and drive. If you can get it in a sale it’s a steal.

This is a great Amp! It is small and portable with great sound. I was very impressed and surprised when I heard how good it sounds, it has a great tone! The only con is a little buzz sound (the buzz isn't very noticeable). Overall great and cheap amp, I would totally recommend if you are looking for something portable, small, and cheap! It has a great crisp tone! You can easily jam to metal music or even something like chill beach music! The volume is also very good. You can make it anywhere from super quiet to extremely loud. I really like this amp for just jamming to songs in general. Definitely recommend!
