I am not feeling this tactical flashlight. I've used it outside once, about 93 minutes straight- flickering through the brightness levels etc. It is bright for sure but the beam-spread overall, on all the settings is a bit all over the place, nor do I think the lumens are accurate. A max beam of 380m or 1200 plus feet....not a chance! There is a 60% chance of hitting the momentary ‘blind your enemy’ button on the tail cap which sits next to the full-click button every time you want to turn the light on or off.The design of this thing isn’t as streamlined as many of your other products. I would have liked it, and the body of the light to be a bit more fine tuned and a little less…..well, lets say it is like a little dog with big dog ambitions. (Charging port on the light itself vs. a port on the battery).

Excelant flashlight worth the price!
21 September 2024

The brightness preset memory setting is fantastic. Chose the brightness setting you think best then shut if off. Its now preset into memory. I dont want to have to cycle through half a dozen or more (modes) to shut it off or turn it on!! One button for either off or on. The lack of the ability to adjust the beam size/width was at first a (negative) but now I see it as a definite PLUS Positive! It is always ready for a variety of situations without the added distraction and fumbling to make that adjustment. That could mean the difference in time critical, difficult situations!!

Great Tactical Light!
16 November 2023

For me to call a flashlight "tactical", I need to be able to operate it in the dark with medium gloves on by muscle memory only. Every action should produce precisely only one consistent result. The only time this light deviates is that when you turn it on, it comes on based on the level of light it was the last time it was turned on. So, it can come on at any light level. I can live with that because I can't think of a solution that would be an improvement. More switches? Too much complexity. Always coming on at the same light level? I'd prefer to pre-set it.The 2 switches are on the tail which is where they should be. They are easy to find and differentiate by feel. It's much better than spinning the barrel feeling for a switch. You have to take the battery out ... MoreFor me to call a flashlight "tactical", I need to be able to operate it in the dark with medium gloves on by muscle memory only. It's much better than spinning the barrel feeling for a switch. You have to take the battery out to charge it which means there isn't a silicone cover somewhere on the barrel that will wear out and leak eventually, yay! Some complain about the hot spot of light but I use it with my dog and I like the fact that I can choose what level of light I put on my dog without changing the light level.I like that you can open either end (or both) of the barrel to clean it when necessary. The barrel isn't symmetric. It has a top and a bottom so pay attention. The only feature I would add to this is a candle light mode. The lowest level of light isn't low enough for me but it's not a show stopper.Overall, happy camper!

It's fantastic solid built flashlight,
5 September 2024

It's fantastic solid built flashlight, I really like the dual tactical switches that are easy and intuitive to operate. Although I would not consider this as EDC, size is perfect, not too small or too large. It has nice hot spot in the center and spread of the beam nice and wide, perfect for my needs. If you are looking for narrow beam, I would suggest other Fenix models.I would give it 5 stars but there are 2 things that are negative.Head of the flashlight does get little hot. I wish Fenix would add fins on the head of the flashlight to aid in cooling.Holster included is little flimsy. My first Fenix E25had much thicker solid material.

My three star rating relates
27 November 2022

My three star rating relates more to the company than to the product, which I’m sure is fine. I subtracted two stars because I found the online experience to be somewhat deceptive. The TK16 V2 3100 tactical flashlight is probably awesome (I haven’t used it yet since I have yet to go camping). The Fenix site showed this flashlight with a picture of this flashlight with a free keychain flashlight. However when I clicked on the picture containing the free flashlight, I only received the TK16 V2 3100. When I inquired, I was told that I only ordered the flashlight without the free flashlight, which was not true, since I had clicked on the image when ordering containing an image of both flashlights. They said that if I wanted the free flashlight, I would need to return the TK16 V2 3100 flashlight since there was another version of this flash light packaging that contained the free keychain flashlight in the box. Honestly, I don’t find it worth my time to go through all that trouble just to get the free keychain light, and I think they were counting on that. After all, if the keychain flashlight was “free”, why would any customer not want that when ordering, especially when the only picture I saw was the one containing both the TK16 and the free keychain flashlight? Making me jump through hoops to exchange the one I had was not going to address the root cause, which is their website advertising the TK16 with a free flashlight and then sending out the box containing only the TK16. Needless to say, I was disappointed with that experience and would think twice before ordering again from Fenix without first double checking to see if they were pulling another fast one.

The last light you will ever need
30 September 2024

It has taken some time for me to write this review, and I wanted to do some field testing and use it in different environments. My background is that I am an Eagle Scout, former Law Enforcement Officer, current Medical Safety Operations Officer, an avid outdoorsman, and flashlight connoisseur. This flashlight will be the last flashlight you will ever need. I can’t say that its brighter than a 3 cell Maglite only because I don’t have equipment to test that claim. This light is all you will in your pack while hunting, its small and light enough that you don’t notice, but DANG, it is incredibly bright! This light will not disappoint you in any way. Another feature that I really like, is that the battery is rechargeable VIA and USB-C, but there is no external charging port. You must remove the battery to charge it. That makes this a great feature because you will never have to worry about your charging port getting gummed up with pocket lint, or dust/dirt while you are hiking back from your hunting adventure. I cannot recommend this light enough! I now have one in all my vehicles, in my backpack, and at work. There is no comparison to this light. There are 5 light intensity modes. I usually leave mine on the third intensity, which increases the battery life and it still quite bright for most situations. If you need more intensity, all you need to do it hit the secondary tail-cap switch for an instant boost.I prefer the TK16 V2.0 over the TK20 and TK22R (own them all). The TK16 V2.0 is smaller and just as bright as the TK20 and TK22R. Please see the photo of my jeep with the hi-beams on vs a TK16 in Turbo mode.

Third Custom Engraved Flashlight - Perfect!
16 May 2024

An engraved TK 16 V2.0 proved to be the perfect gift for a client of mine who is a current member of the Park County, Wyoming Search & Rescue Team and US Army Rangers veteran.I've owned Fenix flashlights for over twenty years, including seven as a police volunteer (still use my eight AA cell TK45), and have never had a problem or failure. This is my third engraved Fenix light and it won't be the last. Every LEO and military veteran I know is familiar with the Fenix brand. If you have any computer graphics skills, I recommend taking the time to design your own logo for engraving. Gifting a Fenix flashlight makes a terrific impression and a one-of-a-kind custom engraved logo makes it unforgettable.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent flashlight and super bright!
1 January 2024

I just bought 2 of these. Super bright and lightweight enough to not be a burden. Strobe is on demand and instantly and also remembers your last setting when you turn it off and on. Plus side is that you have to remove the battery to charge it, thus not having more opening for water or dust to get in. This cannot be turned on randomly in your pocket, so don't ask for a safety switch. Also to the guy that says that it wont turn on (brand new) you have to remove the protective paper in the battery compartment, charge it and tighten it ALL the way or it won't turn on. Going to buy a spare battery just for backup. You will not regret this purchase.
