Final Fantasy 9 is soooo good! I love the medieval storyline and love story between Zidane and Dagger. The characters are so well done. This is my 2nd favorite final fantasy game.

There are also a ton of references to previous Final Fantasy titles that have been cleverly hidden throughout the game. All that is old is new again. The gameplay is exceptionally easy to grasp. The job classes are reintroduced, so each character has unique abilities, and they can all be learned at a faster pace if you catch on to some small tricks. There are also a plethora of fun sidequests and mini-games. I spent hours trying to jump the skipping rope and trying to race that fat but fast hippo. Chocobo Hot ‘n’ Cold was immensely frustrating yet super addictive. This time around, I got obsessed with Tetra Master. I think I had most of the cards collected by the end of the game. I would definitely recommend this game, whether you get the original for Playstation or the ported PS4 version (this version is fun if you're a trophy hunter!). I think it is really underrated.

This is easily my favorite Final Fantasy game. If you're a fan of the series as a whole then this is a must buy. The game goes back to the series roots of the crystal and the medieval feel of the original games after the somewhat futuristic departure in 6, 7, and 8.The game features the best graphics the PSOne could offer and a super engaging story that ranks amongst the best in the series.Classic summons, classic magic, the return to a 4 character battle party, another tremendous soundtrack from Nobuo Uematsu, etc. It's hard to find faults with this game.If you're a PlayStation gamer I can't recommend this one enough.

One of the best, and last RPGs for the PlayStation but I am playing it on my PS2 system. This copy from DkOldies is in immaculate condition. Exactly as advertised it came with the black liner, all discs in great condition, and the jewel case is in fantastic shape. Not even a tooth missing on the CD clips which is so hard to find. I always end up replacing all the packaging. This time it's right into my library.
The game discs, cover and manuals are in a really good condition.I’m very happy of finally having a original copy of my favourite FF of all time.Unfortunately, the game case arrived broken in the inside where discs 1 and 4 are.
As stated by Francis, FFIX is one of the best of the franchise.FFIX goes back to the roots of Final Fantasy by creating a perfect mix of nostalgic references to past titles, mechanics, and lore. It was one of the first instances they brought back the Blue Mage for example..and of course Moogles.The story itself is unforgettable. It grabs your attention and doesn't give it back until the end, presenting beyond satisfying arcs for each and every character. Definitely a must have JRPG.
There's nothing to be said about FF9, it was a great game when it first came out and it still is now, Runs perfectly on the Switch.I don't know why the other review complained, its clearly labelled on the site and the box that this is a digital code.
Been having alot of problems getting games with different cover arts than the ones in the pictures that dont have a pegi rating on the cover. This one was good. Just as pictured. Thanks for at least having some accurate product descriptions!
Overall, gameplay is what has become a staple of the whole franchise. What starts out as a simple (series of an) action, turns into a mammoth task to save the world. Graphically, I think somebody goofed with the title and release sequence. Let me explain: I have played 1 - 10 over various platforms, and in each one, graphics have improved with each new title released. However, with the release of FF9, I found the video to be better than FF7, but worse than FF8. Gameplay itself, I found the cut-scenes to be too many and too long. I could add more, but that wwill be for another time. overall
Wasn’t to happy with this one. Got the disc only and thought I was getting the black label to replace mine but got the greatest hits. Also stickers are pealing up on the discs. Looks like someone made this and put it on a CD. But out of my 8 or 10 orders this was the only one I have been dissatisfied with.
