We recently decided after 18 yrs to replace our old Left-hand opening 505 Litre Fisher & Paykel fridge with the latest 519 Litre F&P right-hand opening model due to a kitchen renovation. The old fridge was still running perfectly & never needed any repairs due to F&P's excellent reliability. We are very happy so far with the new unit. The installation team were fantastic as usual & delivery time was constantly being received on the day. Full marks to Appliances Online & their staff.

We bought this brand new fridge, but it beeped from time to time with no apparent reason, and it cut the power off by itself. We have to threw away $200 of food. We complained, and a replacement was delivered. Again, it beeped from time to time for no apparent reason. This time, the manufacturer sent an e-mail and blamed us for touching a never seen panel. In fact, we did not do anything except plug the core into the power point. So far, the fridge is operating the way it should, but we are so concerned that it might cut the power off sometime in the future. Now, the manufacturer is sending a service repair company to fix it. A brand new fridge has to be fixed, and I get the feeling that it is becoming our problem not the manufacturer's problem.

Replaced a 19yr old Fisher & Paykel fridge so expected a great fridge. Very pleased with it though the design is very square (excellent for integrating) and took a bit of getting used to as its a free standing appliance. Operation and internal design are excellent. Love both the fridge and freezer drawers too. Appliances On Line were the best price by far, best availability and delivered quickly. Delivery men were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble, packing taken with them along with my old (dead) faithful fridge . Thanks so much especially as all this occurred in the middle of the heatwave!

This is my third F&P fridge and second 519L fridge. The previous one was 22 years old and still going strong but I was sick of cleaning the stainless steel door. This one is pure white - heaven. It is beautifully built and very quiet. There a a couple of differences that are not good design - the door shelves are deeper so the fridge shelves are shallower, meanwhile the smaller shelves in the fridge door have the corners cut off (design elelment) so you can't fit a dozen eggs in the shelf in their box (important when you live in the Tropics). The other difference is the vegetable drawer which is now on a sliding shelf but the containers have their bases reduced is size to fit inside the shelf which effetively reduces the vegie drawer by at least 10%. From brand new as they wheeled the Fisher & Paykel fridge had very badly corroded pipe works leading in and out of the compressor… It also appears that they have welded together two dissimilar metal pipes, which also can increase corrosion. This will eventually lead to premature refrigeration has leakage, than a total loss of ability to for cooling, rendering the fridge useless… This obviously is an environmental concern as it’s creating undue waste, recycling and the manufacturer of a new fridge that really should last for a decade, or more. It’s also a financial risk too. It does not look like the Fisher & Paykel fridge is built to last…
I was impressed with the knowledge that Svetlana at rows Nest supplied, on each model that she felt suitable for our needs. Our choice was delivered and installed and ours removed promptly, without any damage to our polished wooden floors. Credit should also be given to the two pleasant gentlemen who undertook this work. I would hate to meet one of them in a Rugby match. The unit is operating beyond our expectations. A little more height is needed to fit wine bottles in the door tray

The interior, although slightly smaller than my 520L has proved to my more spacious because of its design and items much easier to find. The adjustable shelving is also a big plus for the taller bottles inside the door and the fridge itself, The bottom freezer is also a blessing as I no longer have frozen items falling from the top and denting the fridge on the way down. I particularly appreciate the pull out drawers, which enables you to find items without having to empty half the freezer and which glide so easily, and of course the separate ice drawer is extremely handy as I tend to freeze my unused lemon peel and juice for recipes. Delivery was on time. Fridge was quite loud for the first 24 hours which had us anxious that we bought a lemon, but since then it has been very quiet. It has a spacious interior and is externally aesthetically pleasing. We are not convinced on the layout of the freezer yet, the door has to open quite wide before we can pull a tub out to access contents. We are so far very happy with this purchase, especially having gotten Good Guys to beat a competitor who had it on sale. Hopefully it continues to deliver in the long run.
3rd Fisher & Paykel Bottom mount fridge purchase, this being the biggest, marginally; excellent visage inside, works very well, but, the doors drive me mad; as I push them shut (both upper &lower doors) with sufficient strength they never achieve closure the first time. One walks away assuming they're sealed, but no, the dreaded beeping commences. Have tried to change bottle placement and weight in door but to no avail. The hinges need an engineers' eye at a design level to ameliorate this obviously common problem. (I'm not the only one)! But generally, a pretty good fridge all round, or it wouldn't be my 3rd time purchase. Veggie crisps capacious and improved design too. Sad they're not made in Australia or New Zealand still.
This is a great family fridge. Temperature control is excellent. The ice cream is hard, and the refrigerator is consistently about 4 degrees on the default factor settings. The fridge is quiet. Doors close well. Shelves/drawers are spacious and slide well. We had had ongoing problems with a similarly-sized Kelvinator, which seemed completely under-powered and had very poor temperature regulation. After several replacements, Appliances Online gave us a store credit, and we paid more to upgrade to this Fisher and Paykel. We are very happy that we did. It just works perfectly from day one. And Appliances Online were great to deal. Their customer support was excellent.
