It's expensive so it's needs to be beautiful... and it is! Superior quality to others on the market - if you don't believe me then go and compare side by side in the JL store. Loving the fridge at the top/ freezer below formation - feels so much more roomy in the fridge. I literally want to sing when I open the 2 outer doors! The fridge chiller drawers are definitely keeping food better for longer. As for freezer - yes it's smaller than I had on previous American f/f but that's only marginal and I don't like storing food for too long anyway. I read other reviews before I purchased and consistently there are 2 main issues which appear - and both are true! The front and side colours on this f/f are different. God knows why F&P have designed it like this. The f/f of ... MoreIt's expensive so it's needs to be beautiful... and it is! God knows why F&P have designed it like this. The f/f of course sticks out further than your cupboards so yes you see this difference. For me it slightly reduces glamour of this expensive item. If anyone from F&P is reading this please can you sort this out - it's a design issue which is so easy to resolve. Secondly the one problem I anticipated with the freezer has manifested itself - yes you do lose items at the bottom of the freezer drawer!. I already can't remember what I have at the bottom but then again I really only have essentials in the freezer anyway. I don't see this as a big enough problem not to have such a beautiful f/f in my kitchen. If anyone from F&P is reading this - please make sure the cheese storage compartments in the door are made from clear (not white) materials - even at 5'6" I can't see into the compartment from the top so I keep losing items in there! Seems so obvious to make this clear??!! A fabulous f/f though. Buy it!

Having owned the predecessor to this machine, the Goliath, for 4 years I am posting this review as a warning to others. It has developed an inexplicable leak after this time and we have two puddles of water either side of the machine constantly. It has been completely defrosted - a complete pain given how hard it is to take the drawers out of the freezer and in the total absence of any defrost instructions in the manual. The water from the dispenser is never properly cold and arthritic snails work more quickly than the ice maker. All in all for a two grand plus purchase it has been bitterly disappointing. I'm heading back to Samsung and not via John Lewis, whose customer service standards are now at Ryanair levels.

We love almost everything about this fridge! It has a great amount of storage and the white exterior we chose makes it blend in with our kitchen cabinets. The only thing I wish it had was space for bottles (soft drink or milk etc.) to stand up in the door shelving. These are not movable so can't adjust them to fit different sizes. We had some marks on the exterior of the fridge on delivery and we were really happy with the process to get a replacement. Within just a few days we had a new one. They kept it wrapped until they took it off the dolly this time - as they believe that that's what caused the marks the first time around. I would recommend getting the guys to do that on delivery.

This fridge fits the space in the kitchen well and I needed a left hand hinge and had to wait some weeks for stock - although I had to call GG to prompt them when I could see some stock appeared to be available. GG then delivered the next day. After a few weeks fridge is working well and is very quiet - but isn't that what you would or should expect anyway these days! 2 gripes - F&P do not supply an egg tray these days, although the old ones were for 10 eggs and the half shelves on the door cannot quite take a dozen egg carton. And the crisper has two trays but are on 1 large slider, so you have to open whole thing. But then F&P are not alone with these issues. Otherwise, it is a fridge and does the job. This fridge is awesome. The build quality is good, and it feels very spacious for its size (which was one of the main reasons we purchased it). I like the layout of the freezer, because my family stores a lot of things in there. The only minor negative is the divider in crisper section of the fridge is probably unnecessary, and does mean it can hold slightly less that it otherwise could, however I do not think that should sway anyone away from buying this. Additionally, AppliancesOnline were a pleasure to order through. The delivery experience was spectacular.
The fridge works perfectly… but it’s the little things… The stainless steel shows every finger print, no matter how much care we take and we are just a retired couple; it would be a nightmare with kids. We find the side opening instead of a door handle difficult, particularly with the larger fridge door, as it’s heavy and you’re pulling with the tips of your fingers, not as you would with a handle you can get a good grip on. The performance of the fridge itself is excellent, but for these reasons, I wouldn’t buy it again.
Two issues once the fridge was delivered - the door did not fully close without a nudge. Appeared to STOP at the last 10% of opening. And the top of the seal had a bow in it so it did not seal fully. Winning was good to take my details and to log a service call with F&P. The tech showed up and spent 30 minutes trying to reform the seal by hand. That obviously failed. And regarding the closure of the door he just said that it needed to be level. No further action taken, he said that he needed to order a new seal. That was 7 days ago an have not hear from him yet. I'm sure that they will come good but with a $2000 purchase I certainly expect it to be 100% good on day one. As for function - it appears to be fine. We love the layout of the internals. So impressed with this fridge from the second it was unboxed, it oozes style and the matt black colour is very nice. Starting with the main fridge.... Very impressed with how light both doors are to open and close, inside it has nice deep shelves and so much space for everything you need. We put our weekly food shop away and there was still room for so much more. Love that there are plenty of shelves as well as drawers so you can be ultra organised and not have to stack food of top of each other as we did in our previous fridge. The drawers also have humidity control which is such a great idea. This will be perfect for summer bbqs and the festive season when your entertaining. Outside of the doors is the water dispenser which gives ice cold water on demand, the water comes directly from the water mains and is passed through a replaceable filter before it reaches the cup. Next down to the freezer... Drawer again is very easy to open with the soft close, inside you also have another drawer and an ice box which continuously refills so you always have ice ready! Nice bright LED light inside so very easy to see wheat you have, so no more cold hands searching for the ice-cream. My favourite feature on this product has to be the bottle chill function... if you haven't got a bottle of wine already chilled inslide that huge fridge, you can pop a bottle of wine into the freezer and it will beep after 15mins when it's ready to drink! Amazing! Some other great features are its super quiet, beeps if the doors are left open and just to reiterate there is so much space inside. This is, by far now my favourite part of my kitchen and gets plenty of wows by all who use it. Highly recommended, great thoughtout design.
This is a big fridge - and well worth the space it uses. The black finish is lovely. With so much space in the double in-door shelves it's hard to imagine how they will ever be full.. The main part of the fridge is incredibly spacious. no need to stack food item upon food item. The deep and wide shelves allow my weeks fresh shopping to be stored with space to spare. In addition to the three interior shelves, there are two removal drawers for vegetables and for fruit (with humidity control on them) Two more shallower shelves (I use one for sandwich fillers) - and a big plus - you don't need to crouch to see what you have. I love the space. The freezer is a big drawer, with another internal drawer - so again, no crouching down. I love the space. The freezer is a big drawer, with another internal drawer - so again, no crouching down. One part has another removable container and the integral ice maker fills that with ice, if you choose - and the ice maker stops filling once it is full, and then refills automatically. You can turn off this functionality as required. The water from the ice comes direct from your mains (via a filter that you need to change each 6 months), so you do need a mains water supply that the fridge is attached to. The same mains water supplies the cold water that dispenses by touching your cup against a panel on the front of the fridge. So no tanks/jugs to fill up, or take up fridge space. Brilliant. Other features include - water bottle rests that you can have wherever you choose; a bottle chill function beeps after 15 minute when you put wine in the freezer to cool down; ice boost and fast freeze, plus an alarm if you leave the doors open too long. You just press a button inside the fridge to switch these functions on or off.as required. The bright LED light in the fridge reaches all corners - and there's light in the freezer too. It's so refreshing to be able to see and get at everything in my fridge - without the rummage I was used to in the past. This fridge does an amazing job, while looking good too.
Absolute rubbish, would not recommend. We had to access the warranty, as it would randomly make a loud mechanical sound, eventually after considerable effort and months of frustration a technical guy solved the fault, he described it as a common problem! F & P were not at all helpful. List of problems; the metal front dents easily, the filter at the rear gets clogged with dust and created a water leak at the rear -damaged the kitchen, the filters are expensive and the ice maker has fine particles of plastic within... yuk!
