I've been using a form of the Tempo since I got my first pair of the discontinued Uomo R5 in 2017. These shoes just work for me and it helps that they look so svelte and stylish. I like the slimmed down look of these compared to other brands who use bulkier designs in the toe cap area. Fiziks are the only shoes that don't cause my bones fatigue or make my toes feel cramped. Fizik doesn't seem to add any shims on the insoles which is good for a neutral fit. They fit absolutely true to size and the sole is plenty stiff with minimal flex without being so stiff it causes aches. Note: do yourself a favor and order direct from fizik to ensure authenticity and fast shipping- those Bezos type sites are likely selling counterfeits(I returned several pairs because they did ... MoreI've been using a form of the Tempo since I got my first pair of the discontinued Uomo R5 in 2017. Ок, I'm from Russia and my English isn't a good part of my life. First, I got what I really wanted: mid price, low weight, narrow fit, white color. Second, the parcel came to Sochi faster than any other from wiggle/crc. I feel that shoes are not super stiff but it's more proper than my first shimano spd-sl that rode more 30K. First ride with fizik I felt shoes too tight but today they are good even with custom insole. Size is correct with my foot calculation and fully match with size chart on the website. 271mm - length, 103mm - width, high profile, so I bought 42,5 EU. This model is really for narrow or mid-narrow foot. Also it seems they have to be well-ventilated on a road in hot condition even they don't have sole ventilation. And of course boa can make a problem in long perspective so it's a best way to have additional boa in reserve. Thanks.

Had the shoes around 4 weeks now and have completed around 400 miles, so early days. I was concerned when ordering about size, however I am a size 9 U.K. every time and went for 43.5 (9 1/4 apparently). Shoes fit perfectly which saved any repacking and sending back. Shoes are not as soft uppers of last pair (specialized) however I had them years and cannot remember how the felt first months. I’m convinced they will soften up. Very comfy and seem solid enough soles although I’m no expert in this. Overall Very happy with shoes all round and the fit is spot on.

After about 30miles or so, I found the shoes a tad uncomfortable. The Velcro strap provides little to no support, the insoles are very very thin and hard, and the outer material peals/flakes/scuffs very easily.Aesthetically speaking they are a beautiful shoe, and I do plan on wearing them often often. However they’re not that comfortable for rides over 30+ miles.Overall, if your serious serious about road shoes, spend the extra hundred and get something with two BOA straps, better padding in the insoles, and durable outer.
I bought these shoes about six weeks ago. They are very comfortable (I bought half a size up on my normal [trainer] shoe size) and look great. The Boa closing mechanism is easy to use and adjust mid-cycle, and the soles feel stiff. The insoles are quite unsupportive and slippery, however, so I'd recommend replacing them; I used Specialized Body Geometry insoles, which work great. Overall, a great pair of shoes with good looks.
Never had Fizik stuff before so want sure about fit.I sit between UK 12-13 so went for the EU 48.They fit perfectly, seem like a standard width, not too narrow.I've had trouble with narrow cycling shoes but these are great. The quality of the finish is fantastic.Nice and stiff sole. The Boa closing system is brilliant and gives a nice snug fit.Great price and fast delivery from Sigma.
My previous Pearl Izumi shoes BOA cable had snapped so it was time for a replacement. With a budget of around £100 I scoured Wiggle, CRC, Merlin cycles etc or the best shoe. I am happy i have chosen the Fizik R5 Tempo Overcurve Road shoe due to its stiff sole, comfortable feel, light design, and effective BOA tightening system (much better than my previous Pearl Izumi Elite RD IV).My only issue came in the sizing of this product. Fiziks' own website showed a sizing chart which was totally inaccurate. My previous shoe size was a 47 however the sizing chart recommended me a 43. The Sigma sport sales team were equally confused so i bought a 45.5, 46 and a 47. Of which the 46 fit me well.
I tried 3 pairs of shoes, chose these for the fit as they suit my narrow feet. However within minutes of riding they proved very uncomfortable. I have been on three rides in total, tried different insoles and moving cleat position, but no improvement. The soles are so soft that I can feel the cleats (Look) through them. Within 1 hour of a 3 hour ride I had pins and needles in my feet and had complete the ride with the shoes barely done to stop the pins and needles. I am normally size 43 went for the 43.5, weigh 69kg and a very average cyclist.
I bought this a couple of weeks ago - took a little while to get the right size but due to Sigma sports free returns it was nice and easy. Shoes are comfortable and looks good. The only issue is was the first pair 41.5 EU size had a loose BOA dials and therefore did not tighten up the laces. I ordered another pair the same size and the BOA dial again was loose but no issues with tightening this time. I've persevered with the new pair without any issues but have got a some free replacement BOA dials incase it becomes faulty.
