The Flair NEO Flex is the ideal choice for anyone looking to enter the world of espresso. It combines affordability, functionality and quality, allowing you to make café-quality espresso right at home. With its lightweight yet robust frame made from high-strength polymer, it is durable yet easily transportable - perfect for everyday use or on the go. A special highlight of the NEO Flex is the integrated pressure gauge. It helps you to achieve the optimal brewing pressure and gives you full control over the espresso extraction. This way you can ensure that your espresso always has the perfect balance and an excellent aroma. The NEO Flex comes with two portafilters: the innovative Flow Control portafilter and a bottomless 2-in-1 portafilter. The Flow Control portafilter is particularly suitable for beginners as it builds up the required pressure automatically - without the need for a special espresso grinder. For advanced users, the bottomless portafilter offers even more control and requires a high-quality espresso grinder to achieve the best results. Another plus is the brewing cylinder without preheating. Thanks to the reduced thermal mass, you can start brewing immediately without wasting time preheating. Simply add boiling water, pull the lever and enjoy your espresso. The Flair NEO Flex is not only easy to use, but also easy to clean. All parts can be easily disassembled and rinsed under water. With its compact and well thought-out design, it fits easily into any kitchen and is a reliable companion for every coffee lover.

I was looking to start making espresso at home in both a low cost / low pressure way - paired with the fact that I needed something quiet that wouldn't wake up the kids. The Neo Flex delivered on both. Quickly moved from using the pressurized portafilter to the bottomless with little issue and produce great espresso (so long as you make sure to follow the right steps to preheat the components). You really can't complain at the plastic build given the price, especially because the guts of it are of great quality (and you get both pressurized and non-pressurized portafilters).

Can't wait to 'flex' this at a park.

My very first manual espresso maker and I'm impressed. So easy and fast to make, clean, store, and more. Great taste. I wish it produces more crema, but maybe it's my technique, beans, or something else. So many things to improve in my barista'ing. I already broke the piston seal [comes with a few replacemenslts], so now I know now to create too much resistance in the push, less finer grind. Other than that, I see a lifelong journey with this gem.

The Flair Neo Flex is such a great value! I have the Classic and I wanted a pressurized portafilter for pre-ground coffee. The value of parts that come with this unit out weigh the cost of the unit as a whole. The coffee I get from the Neo Flex is similar to a home brewer with a pressurized portafilter like the Starbucks Barista/Saeco Venezia that I used to own. I get really good espresso for milk based drinks with pre-gound coffee that you can find anywhere like Trader Joe's or Target. I find the Flex to be a fun way to brew coffee.

Cheap entry into new hobby
19 June 2023

A real espresso machine is far too pricey. I decided to try this trendy manual espresso machine. It takes some tries to learn and figure out, but I think I've been making progress on getting to a better shot. There could be far better documentation and training, but it's been interesting learning more about perfecting an espresso shot with this machine. I do keep breaking my seal so I think the valve should be better designed.

Coffee and exercise, what else can you ask for?
2 August 2023

I've been brewing specialty coffee for a year now and this is the second espresso brewer that we own, the first lever-based one for sure. It could be the so-called “Ikea effect” but my espresso shots taste better than from the machine I had. So far, the journey has had some bumps. My advice for newcomers? Buy additional release valves. I broke three in less than a month while I was learning to “feel” the resistance feedback.

Flair NEO Flex!

As a beginner at espresso coffee extracting, there was a slight learning curve on my part! It's not that the Neo flex is hard to figure out, not at all, it's figuring out the correct grind size, and more importantly, buying the correct grinder to make this all work! The build quality is good as I really have nothing to compare it too being this my first adventure into espresso. None of the parts seem cheap, they are all sturdy and well made.Once you figure out the right grind size, pulling a decent shot is pretty simple! The coffee I'm getting from the Neo Flex is tasty and well worth my investment. Not to mention the fun factor involved in experimenting!I think any beginner into the espresso making world would enjoy this device. Good, but consider stepping up.

This thing works wonderfully for what it is. It takes a bit to get used to (I admit I have already popped one of the pressure release foils) but it is really fun to use, and makes some darn good espresso. My only gripe is that in order for flair to get this quality of espresso at this price, they had to cheap the living daylights out of the housing. It’s quite unnerving how much it bends and creaks while making a drink. This is completely understandable given the price, but considering you can find the original flair neo for around $150. I’d say spending the extra dough is worth it for the better build.

NEO Flex
1 July 2023

Just getting into espresso as a hobby…. The NEO Flex from Flair seemed a wonderful entry point…. Did a ton of research …. Flair was it ….The shots I am pulling are beautiful… with great texture and mouth feel … i will upgrade at some point but the NEO is a great device. Flair has thought it all through for us .. there is NOTHING… on the market at this price point … for this quality espresso… of course having fresh whole bean coffee… a quality grinder … are musts ….Thank you Flair … truly amazing job by your design Team

One of the best entry level espresso makers

Really love this tool and was surprised with how good the build quality was considering the price. Yes, most of the item is plastic but the portions that take on the most abuse are high quality and sturdy. The dual brew method is a great option to have as I will be honest, the dial in for this machine can be very rough. But with everything challenging in life, once you do the shot just feels and tastes that much sweeter. If you're wanting to get into espresso making this is a great option over any cheap or comparable machine sold at your big box stores.

The real thing
29 June 2023

I was using an AeroPress to make espresso. I’m a professional driver, and at truck stops there’s no espresso, so I found the AeroPress as my choice. Then I bought a Neo Flex, and what a difference. This is the real thing. It makes real espresso. I was worried about the cleaning process, but it is not that complicated. At the end? It takes me a couple of minutes more than with the AeroPress, but totally worth it.
