I've had success with Flex Tape products in the past, but hadn't tried their glue formula until recently. What took me so long? There's so much to love. Application is easy, using a caulk applicator. I was impressed with the viscosity of this glue. It stays put, and doesn't drip or run. It helped me repair one of the original windows to my home, dating back to 1950, which had a broken glass pane. I was able to set it in place in the garage (always be aware of off-gassing in adhesive products and use in a well-ventilated area), and within a few minutes, it was firmly in place. It's recommended to work quickly, as it won't move much, if at all, 10 minutes after application. Still, I let it sit for a week to fully cure, and installed it into the home. I have peace of mind knowing it will not budge in the ice-cold Upstate winters, where we get the occasional -20°F wind chill a few times a season, as it is rated for temperatures as low as -40°F. All in all, it's a phenomenal product. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a permanent bond in their projects and doesn't want unsightly visible glue marring appearances.

I am truly impressed with the quality and strength of this flex glue. This glue is exactly as described; it is super strong and truly waterproof. With summer comes hot weather and what better than a pool to cool you off. Well our pool stairs stared to split a little at the seam so this glue came at the perfect time. We have tried many different things to try to patch them but have not had any luck. I thought what do we have to lose and gave this a try. I am so thankful I did because it sealed the cracks and left the stairs super strong, even to the stairs in the water. The glue has stayed in place and not given away. I would definitely recommend this glue to anyone who is looking for a strong and durable glue as you will not be disappointed but his one.

Flexing Out
30 August 2021

I flexed out my muscles, so much trying to get this glob of glue out. I've had positive experiences in the past with other Flex Glue items, but this time it was more work than it was worth. The main project that I got it for was impossible to do with it. I needed a nice flowing constancy, but it was very hard to get it out. When I originally went to use it I needed to cut off the plastic top. It was pretty thick, so I had to use a knife with a serrated edge to open it. It cut open easily enough with the right tool. I made sure that it was a nice round and well opened before putting on the screw cap that you squeezy the glue out of. The cap is nice it has some premeasured circumference areas that you could use for an ideal flow. I did however have another very small wood project that required a little glue that I used some for. It did hold well for that repair. The glue is said to work under water, be mildew and UV resistant, paintable, solvent free, VOC compliant, and will not shrink or crack. On another note it didn't work that well for me and it can cause cancer and reproductive harm. I still like Flex Glue. I've had other positive experiences with a different sealer of theirs. Maybe I'll give this one a try again with a different tube, but so far I'm not impressed.

High quality and durable

I recently purchased the FLEX GLUE - 9 oz Cartridge Pro Formula - Clear, to use on a wood working project I had planned that would need to have a water tight seal. Before I got around to starting that project, I’d noticed that the drivers door on my truck was sagging and popping, due to a couple of stripped out bolt holes on one of the hinges. I’d seen the claims about how strong snd durable Flex Glue Clear was, and got the idea of using it to repair this, and man did it work out great. I removed the door and hinges and cleaned the surfaces, then applied the Flex Glue Clear to the back side of the affected hinge, then put the bolts back in and let it sit overnight. The next morning when I checked, it seemed to be pretty solid, so I put the door back on to see how it ... MoreI recently purchased the FLEX GLUE - 9 oz Cartridge Pro Formula - Clear, to use on a wood working project I had planned that would need to have a water tight seal. To my surprise, it held great and there was no longer any sagging or play in the door whatsoever, and it looked and worked like it had just been factory installed. That was almost a month ago and even with all the opening and closing, vibration from driving the truck, and through the elements outside, it still looks and works as good as new. I’ve already purchased more Flex Glue Clear and have several projects planned for its use because this adhesive has got to be the best thing ever invented since sliced bread!

Irrigation Repair
15 October 2021

I had a 3/8-inch hole in the main irrigation line after some work had been accomplished. The line was a 1-inch line and the standard repair would have required to dig up a six foot portion of the line to perform the repair. The line ran under a sidewalk and digging it up wasn't an option. I head seen and read about Flex Seal over the years so I decided to try to use it to repair the irrigation line. I inserted a cut-down 3/8-inch bolt into the hole and covered the bolt with flex seal. The flex seal cover over the bolt is approximately the size of a US quarter. I waited the 6 days to ensure the Flex Seal cured per the instructions. I then covered a 4-inch section where the hole is with Flex Tape giving me double protection. Overrated, overpriced

Based on the tv commercials, I stupidly coughed up almost $6 to buy a “mini tube” of this stuff. My project was very simple and light duty. I needed to secure a cheap plastic handheld shower holder to a mirror. I’d say the holder weighs no more than a couple of ounces. I really cleaned both surfaces before I applied the glue and pressed the holder to the mirror. About 3 minutes later, I heard a “clunk” and discovered the holder lying on the floor. Hmm, maybe I didn’t apply enough of this miracle product. After all, the hyped promotional info says things like “instant grab” “like a magnet”, etc - right? Surely Phil Swift wouldn’t fib to us, do you think? I applied more of the stuff, pressed the holder back onto the mirror, waited a minute or two, then felt very smug ... MoreBased on the tv commercials, I stupidly coughed up almost $6 to buy a “mini tube” of this stuff. Success!! NOT!!! I went outside to do some yard work for about 2 hours and .. take a wild guess .. the holder was again lying on the floor. Maybe it will hold heavy bricks better, like in the tv commercials, but it’s lousy at totally non-porous, lightweight objects. Buyer beware and take those sponsored reviews with a grain of salt. A BIG grain of salt.

Well, having no success locating the studs where the bar mounts were going, I decided that Flex Glue would come to the rescue.I positioned the grab bars where I was told they should go on the tile, marked where to drill the holes and proceeded. I drilled along the grout lines. I sized the holes through the tile to allow for the insertion of plastic wall anchors. I used E-Z Ancor drywall 75 pound capacity anchors. The hole size and depth is critical to this if it's to work effectively. Drilling the anchors into the holes with hard tile on the first 1/4" going in, slightly flattens the threads of the anchors. Also, when drilling the full size holes into the tile, I didn't go all the way in past the sheetrock behind the tile. As soon as I got past the hard tile with the big bit, I stopped pushing in. I only drilled all the way through the sheetrock with my first pilot hole masonry drill bit. That way when the anchors are screwed in, they have the sheetrock to grab onto. Now for Flex Glue's contrinution to securing the grab bars. Once the holes were drilled, vacuumed free of any dust, it was glue time. I squeezed the product into the holes, making sure it filled the area. Then it was time to screw in the anchors. I applied glue to the threads, extra thick where the anchor would end up pressed against the tile.Using an electric drill, not a hammer drill - I screwed in each anchor. I then used my finger to spread the squeezed out glue around the anchor to ensure it sealed all around the perimeter of the anchor-tile surface. I also pressed the Flex Glue applicator against the center hole of the anchor where the screw goes in, to fill that cavity with glue. I left a small indention in the center area of the anchor so I knew where the screws would go.Now the wait... I let the glue set overnight. By morning, the Flex Glue hardened but still remained flexible enough to allow for the mounting screws to enter. I then lined up the top screw holes of the bar and screwed in those first two, leaving about a 1/8" remaining to fully tighten them down. This allowed slight adjustment space to put in the remaining screws. I didn't use the supplied screws that came with the grab bars, they were like size 12, and 2" long. Instead, I used 1 1/2" long #10 hex head screws that were easier to drive in and I could use a closed socket end of a wrench to tighten down the last few turns.Another note: I used a flat razor the strip the excess glue off so the bar mounts sat flush with the tileThe end result is SUPER strong, water proof and should last a life time!See images.

I have used Flex glue adhesive for a number of projects that are in areas exposed to water. The first one was in a 4-plex built in the late 60's that has cast iron drainage piping. Under the kitchen sink, the elbow area had rusted through on the underside. I knew that replacing that piece would have involved a great expense and much effort. So, I did this -I cut a band of thick, flexible plastic drinking cup that would cover the hole. I thoroughly cleaned the cast iron pipe area where I was going to adhere the plastic with Flex glue. I had left the water line to dry for a couple of days so it was very dryI coated the area around the hole on the pipe with Flex, then also applied Flex to the plastic patch. The Flex product squeezed out around the edges which I smoothed with my finger. Has held up without leaking for over two years so far.A note on cleaning up Flex Glue, off your hands, and tools. Isopropyl alcohol does an excellent job, I always keep a spray bottle with it inside, super handy.

Works great!

Flex Glue is such a handy "tool" to have. It's a super strong, waterproof glue that instantly bonds, seals and repairs virtually everything. And it's so easy to use! Just make sure you have a caulking gun. What's special is that it can be used on dry or wet surfaces - even underwater! It works instantly and holds objects in place, and a lot of times you don't need braces. It also gets stronger over time, with a curing period of 24 to 48 hours. It can be used for a bunch of different projects, like tile bonding and sealing, sealing showers and baths, countertops & cabinets installation and repairs, window & door installation and sealing, DIY projects, and so much more.
