Focal Alpha 80 Evo 8 Inch Powered Studio Monitor (Single)
The Focal Alpha 80 Evo Active Studio Monitors are the sibling of the renowned Focal Alpha series, providing rich audio fidelity. Perfect for music production, DJ'ing, video editing and even gaming; the Alpha 80 Evos deliver natural, powerful sound quality that will fill any space. The thing that sets the Evo series apart from other Focal monitors is the inclusion of the custom-built Slatefiber woofer. Custom designed by Focal in France, this unique woofer provides exceptional tonal balance resulting in improved acoustic performance. Taking after its name, the Alpha 80 Evo has evolved the way studio monitors are made, capturing every nuance from your source audio as it was intended to be heard. Three inputs are on offer so you can connect multiple audio sources at once. You can choose between XLR, TRS and RCA inputs for connecting a wide range of gear including audio interfaces. A front-firing laminar port provides an improved bass response, resulting in a powerful low-end. The monitor can be wall-mounted using the insert points and it comes complete with a grille so you can protect your components.

Amazing sound and bass is heavy for bass music especially dubstep. Also good for studio sessions with keys.

They sound fantastic and theyāre nice and loud
Low end is amazing, pleasant, warm and strong! A lot of controlled deep bass. Love these!

Great news IMO.As far as everything else, these are the monitors you get when you want to WOW just about anyone listening to them without spending thousands to achieve that sound. Iāve never been so excited to listen to literally anything on them. When I first got them, I put them on our living room TV, while my studio was getting finished and they GENUINELY feel like movie theater speakers. Clear sound with humongous boom making anything coming through then entertaining. After my two months with them:Iāve maybe hit 65-70% max volume on them through my Apollo x6 and feel like I might not be able hear for a few hours LOL they get SO LOUD, but still keep their fidelity. They do however, have some sort of āauto trimā function, once you do go high enough in volume, especially with bass heavy music. Need to research this more as this is either a safety feature or they still havenāt been fully broken in yet which Iām leaning towards the most. If it IS a permanent feature, then this would be my ONLY negative I could say about them, but they get so loud you might not ever get to that point. Also these EASILY go down to 38kHz - they will shake walls a bit!!!YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THESE!!!! If you somehow are, then you MUST have excessive money to throw away. Thereās probably no other monitors that are better for this price or cheaper.
I'm very happy with these. With the reviews they get I expected that. I also expected to prefer them over my Events, Adam and M-Audio monitors, but was surprised when they over-shadowed the MSP7s. Zero hum with balanced cables. I listen with the sensitivity switch on. My room is 3 X 4m, and everything is beautiful. I don't listen to advice.
