I have never had a problem with any of the Foodsaver products. I use their bag material exclusively.. Just ordered another 3 roll pack of their 11"×16' bag material and it is high quality and always dependable. I recently dug out 3 packages of catfish filets that had gotten buried by other frozen foods in my chest type deep freeze. I had vacuum sealed them with my Game-Saver Silver using the same bag material in May of 2019!!! I figured I would have to throw it out even though it still ok. I didn't though because it looked like it had been only a couple of months even though it was nearly 2.5 years old! I took a chance and thawed it out in cold water and I am glad I did. I fried it up and it was still almost as good as it was when it was fresh!! Can't say enough ... MoreI have never had a problem with any of the Foodsaver products. Well, what's to say these bags are pretty great. I've used them on several items, and they don't leak over time or puncture easy. You'll know right away if a leak has occurred, because the bag will get "loose" around the contents. They really do protect well from freezer burn. No air around your food means no where for the moisture from your food to escape to. Yes, I have seen the big jumbo rolls at this size for a lot cheaper. The only problem I have with those is that they will have to be stored somewhere else, not in your food saver. Which means you don't get to use the slick cutter on your foodsaver. You can cut those big rolls by hand, but make sure you cut straight. All the inconvenience of the big roll basically makes me realize the added convenience of these ... If you're like most families and not vacuum sealing everyday then just go with the easy option. Unless you're a butcher and packing up an entire cow, then by all means go jumbo and save the money. The only thing is the write on label area could be bigger, sometimes you can't read what is written after you vacuum seal the bag's contents.

No problem with the bags except they are bags, I prefer the rolls because you can cut them to the size/length you need. You probably could get a couple uses from one bag or wastage.Other than that, the product, to quote Martha Steward...." It's a good thing "P.S. should mention the rolls were out of stock at the time, was the reason for purchasing the bags.

I use these regularly in my Foodsaver sealer. Great for hitting the sales at the supermarket; I vacuum seal in these bags, label and store in the freezer. No freezer burn! I find it easier to thaw in a sink of cold water for a quick meal. I keep these and the 8" bags on hand. I am very happy with my Foodsaver vacuum sealer and bags! Great for sous vide!
Think of this as four rolls. Re-roll half of each on to another roller core, and they will fit into most FoodSaver machines. The material is good quality and performs well. A permanent Sharpie marker will write directly on the smooth side and is quite legible, no freezer tape needed! Personally I never used the “hash marks” so their absence is fine; you can measure if you must, but once you use this device for a while you probably will eyeball the bag length anyway. The savings is well worth those printed omissions and having to divide the product. No big deals!
For decades, I have made my life easier with FoodSaver vacuum system. Seasoning food and then vacuuming it into these large FoodSaver bags, truly has made AND makes my life easier. When my children were small, I used these large FoodSaver bags for meats, vegetables, breads, etc. You can vacuum-pac sugar, and all kinds of powdered or grainy goods in these bags and not have to worry about freshness, leakage, etc. The fact that Target has them at an incomparable price point makes it even better. FoodSaver is the original food vacuum system so I swear by it and there bags! As I invented the 20 minute meal, this is one of the means by which I was able to do so. Anything that makes my life easier is a must! FoodSaver and the FoodSaver vacuum bags make my life easier. AND ... MoreFor decades, I have made my life easier with FoodSaver vacuum system. With the money I save on food via take-out, I can dispense on other things. So while "YOU'RE" out there ordering food, I have made mine before you even get yours. I'm just saying. Does your take-out come in 20 minutes or less...Hmmm?
They are not as good as the original bags years ago but if I want to use my foodsaver I don't really have a choice. I still have a few bags I bought from Costco that are original foodsaver bags and they are so much thicker than the newer ones. I have been using a foodsaver machine since they first came out, I'm on my 3rd machine but I really like using it for all my freezer items. Now the new one bags work sometimes and sometimes not at all. I made up 2 bags the other day and one stayed under vacuum and one didn't. So far I've had a few bags I just couldn't vacuum seal at all. I have no choice but to keep trying but I wish they would bring back the original thicker bags.
We go to the meat market about every 3-4 months because it's almost an hour from home. For years, I was re-wrapping everything in plastic wrap and then freezing it in freezer bags. no matter how well it was wrapped or what quality of bags I used, we always had issues with freezer burn and discoloration over time, so I finally splurged on a Foodsaver. One month later we have had zero freezer burn or discoloration. The Foodsaver came with some precut bags and a roll much like this one, but the roll that came with it wasn't as thick as these are. I have only found a couple of cons to each the food saver and bag rolls so far. For the food saver itself, it's loud and softer meats like brats get kind of squished and tend to burst while cooking, but it's not too bad. As ... For the food saver itself, it's loud and softer meats like brats get kind of squished and tend to burst while cooking, but it's not too bad. As far as the rolls, the only disadvantages I've found to the precut bags are 1) you have to seal both sides. Sealing takes just a few seconds on one end, but then you have to wait 15 seconds before sealing the next bag. Sealing with food inside takes about 30 seconds and again, you have to wait 15 seconds before sealing another bag. It can be time consuming if you're packing a lot like we do. 2) You have to cut the bags as straight as possible and line them up just right in the vacuum area or they will not seal. We had a couple issues with that, where we had to keep re-inserting the bag to get it to take.
I bought a 3-pack of the 11" bags and noticed that the plastic thickness was a lot thinner. The new bags have a different texture-not quite as defined as in the original bags. This new version of the bags stinks. They doesn't allow all the air to get vacuumed out leaving bubbles in the package-defeats the purpose of the machine. I replaced the seals thinking that they were the problem but it still didn't work properly. The 9" bags work just fine but they are made of the original thicker plastic. I called customer service and the person could barely speak English so I don't think the issue was communicated. I suppose after my smaller rolls are gone I will look into a competitor. Very disappointed with customer service and the quality of the newer plastic being used ... MoreI bought a 3-pack of the 11" bags and noticed that the plastic thickness was a lot thinner. All the rolls in the boxes of the FoodSaver Rolls I received had ripples and creases which prevented my FoodSaver vacuum/sealer from sucking all the air out and sealing. My machine just kept running trying to get all the air out of the bag. FoodSaver Rolls that I've been purchasing have had this same issue for the past couple of years or so. I was hoping they had improved by now. The quality of FoodSaver Rolls is very poor now. The pre-cut bags are fine and work as intended. Very disappointed that I can't get a quality box of rolls made by FoodSaver any longer. Customer Service was great when I called about issue and representative quickly sent replacement boxes of rolls, which all sadly, had same issue. Guess I'll have to search for a different brand to use with my sealer.
