Extreme Value at its Price Point

Completely black and only had 9 pins sticking up. One missing. Labeled FP1. It only had one cord attached to it in my old tower. This case - front power, LED and reset, all plugged in this spot. Boom. Worked like a charm. The case was easy to take apart and put together. Only took one optical disc slot out the top of the front panel and two slots in the back for the added video card.

GREAT budget case.

I'm not sure what the low-star reviews are complaining about. I have used several "Budget" cases over the years, and this DOES NOT feel like a budget case. The metal parts don't flex in any way they shouldn't. The plastic parts feel solid too. The side panels are good and firm, and are very easy to remove AND to replace. The thumb screws for the side panels do not come off of the panels, so they cannot be lost, and they are able to screw down nice and tight - all of which are not true of most budget cases. It's a bit hard to tell from the pictures, but this case is an average sized mid-tower ATX case. There should be plenty of clearance in here for even the largest video cards because of how the hard drive caddy is placed, but the size is nothing to write home ... MoreI'm not sure what the low-star reviews are complaining about. There's plenty of room to route wires and stuff, but don't expect to have any leftover space. One reviewer mentioned the motherboard standoffs stripping out very easily. I did not have any problems with them, although they were tight enough that I did have to use pliers to (Carefully) install them, but isn't that normal? I've had to do that with every case I've ever worked in. There are only two 5.25" external bays and two internal 3.5" bays, which is just enough for the average build IMO. There is an additional 2.5" internal HDD bay, but it is in a REALLY clumsy spot - behind the PSU, on the back side of the case. I would rather see it attached to the top or bottom of the hard drive caddy, personally. It's not very accessible on the back. Finally - this isn't really a problem, but it's something easily overlooked - the case DOES NOT come with a rear mounted fan in it, but it DOES come with two front-mounted fans. So if you were hoping for a rear fan, you should buy an additional one.

Good Case, Confusing Shipment
25 June 2021

I ordered this and received it the next day with someone manually driving it to my house and dropping it off. It came with none of the motherboard standoffs inserted which is usually done with other cases Ive seen. This was particularly and issue as installing them was so tight I had to borrow a tool to have the leverage to get them in. Even so, the case is very well ventilated and has decent dust prevention with the default mesh. It also offers lots of space. And finally a very clean look to it with included white rgb fans and a plastic side window.

Great Case! Just Short of Perfect.
5 April 2018

Cable management is what one would expect from a case at this price point, OK, but definitely room for improvement. A modular PSU is highly suggested, as is some patience, creative bending, and routing. Keep in mind that the case has limited storage support, only 2 3.5 bays and the single 2.5 behind the MB tray. I knew this going in and bought a new high capacity HDD to replace a couple older smaller ones from the original build. Or, you can use the 5.25 bays if you need to add another drive or two. We didn't since it wasn't necessary. Would I recommend this case? Most definitely! Challenges building in this case will be dependent on the hardware going in it of course, but for most builds, you shouldn't have any major problems. Great Case, 2 minor design flaws

I really like this case, however, only 2 things I would change; 1) The dob external bay is too close to the top and when a ROM is installed, a 2nd top fan will not fit. the hardrive caddy at the bottom with trays won't allow you to install the drives power/data out on the main open panel. other than that. really high quality for an budget case.

Great case, but a front-mounted AIO could be a problem
10 May 2020

I love this case, but I had a couple problems. First, I wanted to mount a 240mm AIO liquid cooler on the front. First problem is that the fans are mounted between the bezel and the frame, which means the frame will be between the fans and the radiator. You could drill out the threaded holes in the frame to get around this, but the second problem is that the double HDD bay mounts to the bottom of the case and completely blocks that placement of the radiator. Front mounted AIO would work if you don’t plan on having any HDDs. Ultimately I pivoted to an air cooler because I didn’t want to top mount the radiator. Second problem was that you really want to be sure your PSU is small enough if you plan on mounting a 120mm fan on the bottom. This mount point is between the PSU and the HDD bay, and my initial Corsair 750w PSU blocked the placement of the fan. I had to switch to a different PSU to solve the problem. I love the case, but these limitations kept me from giving it a higher rating. If my complaints don’t apply to you, I definitely recommend the case. Heck, even with these complaints, it’s still a great case.

Great value for a no nonsense mid-tower case
23 August 2020

This case was exactly what I needed for my new build, which essentially are all my pros. The 5.25" bays were used for mounting extra USB headers needed for my flight sim controllers, plus an old school BR writer for my video work. Installing the mobo standoffs was a bit challenging. Though I was very careful and took my time, I managed to strip one of them though I didn't know it until I was mounting the mobo. Had to buy a mobo speaker since it's essential to have one when OC tuning; I was surprised this case didn't include one, though it's not a big deal. Two standard size drives will fit with their cabling attached, but just barely so. Mounted a Noctua case fan in the back, went with this pricey fan for it is low noise, good air flow and matches the NH-D15S I installed. This made for one the quietest builds I'd ever had. Hopefully the front fans will be adequate over time. My case's build quality is slightly lacking in that securing the main side panel takes a bit of effort to correctly screw in one of its bolts (definitely don't want to strip that); its bolts are integrated into the side panels. Overall I'm satisfied with this case, though it loses a star for all the cons I listed.

Overall, I like this case. It's inexpensive, and if you're really looking for inexpensive, this is the case to buy. Even though the provided pamphlet shows that you can mount the radiator at the top, you really can't. It would obstruct pins on the motherboard and the external drive bays. Radiators must be installed front-mounted, behind the built-in fans. While this is a good case, the metal is thick-enough, but barely. The see-through side is polycarbonate plastic, and the front of the case, while removable (for example, to install a front-mounted radiator or external drives), is not a hinged door - you need to pull it with some force. There is extra metal obstructing one of the external bays that you need to break off in order to use it, and there really should be a little more metal around the front fan assembly. The position of the top fan holes are too far forward, and should be moved back 1.75 because otherwise the fans, if installed, would obstruct the top external drive bay. There are also headphone and mic ports on the top of the case, power & reset buttons, and a USB-2 and a USB-3 port. Really though, both of these should have been the latest USB 3.2 ports, which of course, are backward compatible with USB-3 and USB-2. Want to make my day? Put FOUR of them up there - there's room for plenty more! So, like I said, it's a good, inexpensive case, and with a few design tweaks, it could be much better. If you don't have hundreds to spend on a full tower, and don't mind the design detail issues mentioned above, this case is a good buy.

The case is very easy to work with. It disassembles easily with two thumbscrews per side panel for complete access, but unless you're routing cables you only need to open one panel. The panels are interchangeable, so you can place the 'windowed' one on either side. The included fans have been silent (~1 week). As for the dust filters, ask someone else, I'm not widely versed, but I surprised how flimsy and open-holed they are, nothing more than single flimsy perforated panels. That might be all that's needed, but it was a surprise to me, so if that's important, ask someone knowledgeable in the state-of-art in chasis dust filters. They designers did make one inconsiderate decision: USB motherboard connections (called headers) each support two USB 'plugs', and at a ... MoreThe case is very easy to work with. This chasis uses both headers, but only gives you two 'plugs', one USB 2 and one USB 3, wasting two connections. If your motherboard doesn't have many rear USB 'plugs', that could be a deal-breaker. Otherwise, it's just creates an inconvenience of needing to reach back and access and manage to connect your extra temporary USB devices.
