Does as expected.
It was pretty good and done what Youtube videos had suggested. I tested it on a drywall ceiling and it picked up every stud on the expected 24 inch spacing. I liked how it had so many LEDs that give me more precision. I'm no carpenter but I managed to get this thing to detect the studs as I needed it.Just one caution is that it does not work on rough surfaces like on asphalt shingled roof. It worked great on a smooth drywall surface -- but not on rough surfaces.... Show more

Flawed
You have to be near eye level to easily read this device. I thought more lights would make it more accurate, but it’s less usable. The housing is so thin that the LEDs glow where you don’t want them to glow. The light bleeds into neighboring lights. You should have optically isolate each LED to they can only shine out of their own lens. Also you should not engineer it to only use alkaline batteries only. They’re wasteful.... Show more

Great for pros and beginners alike
This is the most efficient and accurate tools that you can ask for. One button does it all. It is simple to use, accurate and makes projects faster and easier. Have used another brand for years, and that product was really good as well, but I spent a lot of time messing with settings. None of that with this unit. Does everything my other tool did with ease and as well or better. But the time savings is huge for me. Time is money, this will pay for itself inside of a week.... Show more

Horrible
I really hoped for this stub finder to work.It didn't work. I compared it against 2 other stud finders and even tried swapping batteries. This stud finder was not finding anything. I tried replacing it in hopes I got a dud, but both units performed equally poorly. They were simply useless. I was looking for a similar looking stud finder, which was black and blue and worked amazingly, but I think it's no longer in production. That's a shame, it worked really well, however this unit is just not detecting anything.... Show more

It works!
I’ve recently had a move and have had to hang pictures, decor, etc. This stud finder has made it so easy. The way it tells you where the stud is and how big makes it hard to believe others haven’t copied this usability. Yes, it costs a little bit more that than average, but you’ll be glad you did in the end, with no frustrations. The ease of use, accuracy, and dependability makes it a joy hanging pictures and wall decor. For the person wants to get it right the first time (and every time), this is the way to go.... Show more

Must Have Wall Scanner
I’ve been using the Franklin Wall Scanner M210 to hang cabinets in our new house. This device works perfectly. I actually found an unexpected stud and electrical wiring. Could have saved me an unfortunate accident. Even the built-in pencil came in handy. The technology works as advertised. I highly recommend this device.... Show more

Pretty good, for the most part…
This stud finder is pretty good for the most part. It’s just depends on how smooth the surface of a wall is. Whenever the surface is smooth, this stud finder works flawlessly, and it clearly shows where the studs are, but if the surface is just slightly rough, the lights on a stud finder would flicker all over the place like a Christmas lights lol Everything is explained and mentioned in the instructions; so just got to read everything, follow the instructions, and you would be just fine ;-)... ProSensor M210
We have an old house built in the 40’s. This was able to find the studs through lath and plaster walls. Very easy to use, I’m not in construction, have general knowledge to build things, all you have to do is put batteries in it and ready to go. It’s expensive in comparison to the cheap stud finders. If you have a new build with just Sheetrock, you can go cheap. But anything more, this is the way to go. Plus quality over anything.... Show more

Super simple
I spent a lot of money on a stud finder *cough* Zircon *cough* and it was great in theory but I'd get false reads, would toggle between regular scan, deep scan. The Franklin one appealed to me because it didn't need calibration, just keep your fingers on the holding area and go, super visual, can scan up/down, left/right to figure out where and how the wires are running inside of the wall. The pencil and level are easy bonus also and 21 sensors! Only down side is that it's big but the typical horizontal scanning swipe is a smaller profile. If this thing is backed by 5yrs and made in the U.S what can I possibly say that's negative. If this thing could get through plaster that would be a bonus but it's the same with all studfinders.... The best sensor out there but....
This is the fourth franklin sensor I have had in my possession. The first one was a gift from my daugther. I use that for quite some time finding that I liked it better than any other stud sensor out there. That story started my time with this brand of sensor. The only thing I have found wrong with these. If they are rather sensitive to shock from dropping, or so I guess that is what the trouble is, because after a while they will stop working. That's the reason why I've gone through so many of them so far. I can't help but drop them occasionally for the way they get used. It's part of the nature of work. Nevertheless, they are worth the money that I have spent replacing the ones as they go bad. Now I keep a spare.... Show more
