This tool is easy to use. No beeps to confuse you. I am very impressed by it’s accuracy. Also, it does not detect pipes and wires which makes it safer as you will always be drilling into stud or anything dense behind the walls. Love it.

Thing works great, I turned it on and pointed it at myself and it lit right up…. Thing definitely detects studs no problem lol… but really though, all jokes aside, it works awesome. Finds the whole stud and it’s easy to use. Best stud finder I’ve ever owned

I had doubts because of the affordability but it nailed it! I had to lag an 18×60 price of plywood for more structure to mount my TV to the wall. I needed studs for a strong hold and this stud finder did not disappoint. IT never missed and I love how the red LEDS show exactly where the studs are.
Best. Sensor. Ever. I went to many friends houses to help with renovation and this by far is the best, accurate and trustworthy trust finder I ever had. I eventually lost it somewhere, as I help many places, and I wanted that one so bad that I just bought it again.
I first tried a stud finder bought elsewhere, did not work. I returned it and researched the stud finder at Canadian Tire to pinpoint this one, Franklin M70 Stud Sensor.I got it, tried it and works perfectly, just as it is described.See here for a video: https://franklinsensors.com/prosensor-m70/The LEDs that light up (red) do so as it senses the stud behind the wall, or a dense object(s). The more LEDs that light up, shows the width of the stud or number of studs, then the LEDs will turn off as you pass the stud. The green LED means the center of the stud or studs, but I think this only happens if the object (studs) behind the wall are the same width as the stud finder. Anything that is wider than the stud finder, the green LED won't light up, because it is too wide. You need to find the stud ends and measure to find the center.I noticed some complained about whether the product took AA or AAA, where the packaging said something different to was what actually required.Just because there is a misprint on the packaging means nothing. The unit takes 2xAAA.Using rechargeable Alkaline is fine. I use RayoVac rechargeable Alkaline batteries.Battery compartment - push horizontally where the ridges are at the left side bottom of the unit. To replace the battery cover works in reverse, slides in with a snap (make sure you line it up right, it is plastic).
Works great. Used it several times and it's right on the money. Now I have to plaster up all the nail holes I made using the "stab in the dark" method. Wish I would have gotten one of these years ago. Be careful with the battery cover though. That's it's only weakness. Just don't handle it like a gorilla and it'll be fine.
Tried to find a stud to hang up curtain rod. The sensor lights doesn’t come up consistently when panning the same area on the wall. Drilled into the dry wall and there was no stud at the spot. Same thing on another part of the wall and there was a stud behind the wall. Will try to use it to hang up a wall clock and see how it goes.
When I first opened it, I felt the tool seemed a little light and not much too it but it’s really easy to use, worked perfectly and I only needed to drill once versus my previous stud finder. I loved the sensors so you can see exactly where the middle of the beam is. Great value, would buy again.
As other people said wrong batteries says double a on box and its triple a I'm returning I have double a not triple and made sure at store to look to see if I had batteries needed. When did we have to start looking every little thing up. Also disappointed with Canadian tire with a couple of reviews like this look at product put some kind of warning or pull the product
