Although this device is relatively new and has few reviews, I liked having a cardholder and card reader as an all-in-one solution for on-the-go use. However, I got a copy that overheated so severely that it was painful to hold. The thermometer shows about 170 F for a quick 5-minute photo transfer, which shouldn't be an intensive use.I do not want to damage my cards, so I'm about to return this product.

I really want to like this thing but it’s honestly not great.It can get really really hot when using multiple cards at once and I find that it works just OK on my MacBook Pro but my PC cannot read this thing at all. In fact, it causes my PC to freeze when I plug it in. My PC is not even 3 months old.I bought this through the Freewell website - not B&H but you can’t leave reviews there.Unfortunately, not a good product. Freewell should stick to filters.
