Being a novice in the realm of photography, it was a great addition to my X-T4. I know it's a basic flash but it is very compact and works very well with my camera. This has been very helpful in my learning journey. It was not expensive and will be with me for a long time do it it's low profile.

It's not the most powerful flash out there. Considering the price, the size, the weight, and how it works on a Fujifilm camera it's hard to beat. Would have had 5 stars with more power but I knew that ahead of time. Highly recommended.
While this flash unit looks almost like a toy, it does a great job. Nothing fancy, but it is great in those situations in which you need a little more light on your subject. The size is a nice feature. It is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket, so it is easy to carry along on a photo expedition.I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works.
Was this a necessary purchase for my X-T4? Not really. But for the price point, there wasn't a reason not to have a highly portable flash for when the situation arises. I likely won't use it much, but it's so compact that it's easily kept in my bag for when a little fill light is needed for better results.
This flash is smaller than I had imagined. Perfect for those of us who do not traditionally use flashes. The size is ideal to tuck away in a camera bag for when it becomes necessary. Best as a fill flash at short distances. This flash is not a replacement for more powerful flashes that provide wider shooting options for varying conditions. Will need to insure that the mechanical shutter is enabled on your camera for this flash to work. I use a X-Pro 3.
I got my flash delivered,used it for two days and stooped working.
One of these came with my Fuji X-T3, so I am familiar with it. This one is for my Fuji X-E4.This EF-X8 flash is tiny, powered by the camera through the hotshoe so it has no batteries, and it is full TTL or manual if you wish.The small size makes it easy to toss into the camera bag. This is its winning characteristic.I also have a Fuji EF-42 flash, much larger and more capable, but seldom use it.
