With the Fujifilm Instax Mini EVO, you won't print bad photos, because you can select which photos you want to print afterwards. That way, you only print when you're happy with it, and you save photo paper. The camera has an LCD screen, so you can see right away of which you take photos. You can store the photos on a memory card. Do you want to print a photo? Turn the print lever so your photo is printed on Instax paper. The camera has 10 different lens effects and 10 video effects. This way, you can give your photos a creative appearance, like a fisheye effect or a red hue over your photo. You can also add 2 effects to 1 photo. With the Instax Mini EVO app, you can print photos directly from your smartphone, or you can place photos on social media with an Instax frame.

A Great Walk Around Camera

That''s the key word there. Messed up your shot? No worries, it won't print out immediately afterwards like other instant cameras will. That''s the key word there. Messed up your shot? No worries, it won't print out immediately afterwards like other instant cameras will. Go ahead and retake it or pick whichever photo you think turned out best. Just like previous instant film cameras made by Fujifilm, it takes it's standard Instax Mini film, which has ten pieces of film to use to print on. However, you aren't just limited to printing these shots on the film, the camera has a Micro SD Card that you can store the photos on and then remove said SD Card and transfer the photos you take onto your Laptop/Computer. A great option if you still want to use the camera but maybe you don't have paper on hand to print out the photos. I love this. This gives someone like me the ability to take this camera if I don't want to take any other gear with me - like if its a small gathering or maybe a light hike in the woods. The thing that caught my eye initially about this camera, though, was that there are built in "film simulations" (not quite like Fujifilm's mirrorless cameras, but good enough for a camera at this price point) to switch between as well as different lens styles like fish eye or even a double exposure. Ten film simulations, ten lens effects, or a hundred different combinations to use for this camera that goes for just two hundred bucks. Wow. Oh, did I mention this can also work as just a stand alone printer? Transfer images from an app on your phone to the camera to print off if you want to.Now, there's a lot of positives here to this camera, but what about cons? Something that isn't too big of a deal, but a slight draw back is it's five megapixel sensor - but, come on, you aren't using this for anything (or I should say, shouldn't be) professional. So, not a super big deal, but when I upload these images to my desktop at home and it's blown up a bit, yeah you can notice. Like I said though, this isn't for you if you're looking for something more so on the professional side. Something I noticed while using it is that there isn't any way to turn off the camera's flash completely. I may be totally wrong, though I could not find anyone that has successfully accomplished this. So, gaffer's tape over the flash will have to do for now. It can be a bit annoying when using it indoors and it thinks it's super dark, and a flash just goes off, attracting a bunch of attention. This camera also sports a micro USB charging port on it, which, in 2022, I cannot believe we are still using this flawed charging cable. I'm glad I purchased a warranty on it in case the port gets messed up, which I assume it inevitably will. Type C would have been incredible - I just don't know why we are still using this port still.Other than that, no other real cons. Something I would love to see in the future but to me doesn't count as a con is that I would love to see a viewfinder be brought to this type of camera. Personally, I am so used to looking through the viewfinder of my X-T3 or when I use an X-Pro 3 and a viewfinder on a camera like this would be a lot of fun, but of course, the price would have to go up. If it had a solid viewfinder and the price when up to $250 or $300, I would totally upgrade it. Overall though, I'm super happy with this camera being my walk around camera for fun shoots or days I just want a pocketable camera that I can casually shoot with. This, to me, feels like a great hobby camera that can also have the benefits of printing out photos whenever you want. Definitely would recommend this camera to anyone who might be looking for a printer or a (very) beginner's camera/point and shoot camera- or both.

Between it being USB chargeable instead of using batteries, the ability to print in black and white for single photos, and all the other amazing features it has, it’s a no brainer to have, whether as a professional photographer or just for fun moments. Definitely recommend reading the manual to understand how to use ALL the features before you start using to make sure you’re taking the best pictures possible!

The Fujifilm Instax Camera is a great choice for taking instant photos! The camera is easy to use, takes high quality photos, and prints the images out quickly. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the photos come out looking almost exactly the same as the digital version. I love being able to share the photos instantly with friends and family and the portability of the camera makes it perfect for taking anywhere. Overall, I highly recommend this camera for anyone who wants to take instant photos!

Coolest Little Camera
10 June 2023

Bought this as a graduation gift and honestly had no idea how cool this camera was until we took it on a trip! It has all the novelty of an instant camera, all the functionality of a digital camera, and all of the quirkiness of a phone camera. There are so many settings and functions and filters - we truly had a blast taking pictures on vacation. The best part is that you can choose which pictures to print off, which means that multiple people can get copies of the same picture! Plus, there is a digital version of the picture to share to social media. This is definitely going to be my go-to gift for photographers moving forward! A fun addition to any photographer’s collection.

Disappointing print quality
10 March 2022

Purchased a MINI EVO after years of using the INSTAX MINI I got way back in 2015. I was SO EXCITED. The thought of having a digital backup of every polaroid taken was such an exciting idea to me. Well. Purchased it, tried it, disappointed by it. I knew the digital image quality would be low, and I was fine with that. But the PRINT image quality in comparison to my old instax photos from the last 7 years... it's just not good. If you look closely you can see a grainy-ness that shouldn't be there and that isn't there in the traditional analog-style instax products. I'm really sad that this isn't good. I hope in future years they come out with a similar product that produces high quality prints similar to the other instax cameras. Great for a certain niche

I bought Fujifilm's first hybrid Instax camera when it came out and never liked it. It felt clunky and globby in the hand and had no real charm. Yes, it resembled other Fujifilm Instax cameras, but their charm isn't in their design, it's in their analog output. Bereft of analog randomness, the SQ6 felt sterile. The mini Evo has added some charm to the industrial design, provided some useful image controls, and added some analog-style controls to manage lens and picture effects. That offsets the anti-analogue nature of the output, which is just low-res digital images printed to Instax, just enough. In terms of handling, it is not much larger than a Fujifilm X100V so it's sort of discrete when carried on a shoulder strap. It's also very light weight.I've found myself enjoying it on photo walks as a way to sort of change up what I'm trying to accomplish. It feels low stakes and just for fun, and I like printing a few reminders of the walk. It's also fun for what Instax cameras are more normally fun for, which is social occasions. I went to a karaoke birthday party and gave the guest of honor all the photos I took, and also sent digital copies to the other guests the next day.I'd love it if Fujifilm would do one more iteration and provide an optical viewfinder and a dedicated exposure compensation knob.My one real complaint is that you can't transfer the Instax-styled images from camera to the dedicated mini Evo app unless you have printed those images. You can still download them from a memory card, but only printed images may be transferred wirelessly. Some MBA in the bowels of Fujifilm, Inc. is very proud of themselves.

Nice and cost effective in the long run
29 December 2022

Only giving it 4 stars because it doesnt come with a lens cap or any way of protecting front element which will be an issue when traveling with it. Other than that, it's an amazing instant film camera. The best instax mini format camera you can get in my opinion. Sure it's expensive but you save money on film you would be wasting on bad shots since its a digital hybrid. You get to see the shots before you decide print them. It doubles as a printer too which is the feature I find myself using the most.

Bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it! The ability to take a picture and only print it if it came out perfect is great and being able to print out multiple of the same picture to give to friend/family is also great. The vintage aesthetic is also nice she gets a lot of compliments on how it looks. It's a solid camera with plenty of filter options and decent storage. Big upgrade from the bulky cheaper option for sure. Huge recommend.

This is a great full featured point and shoot camera with added benefits of being a compact Instax printer. You can print from the camera or directly from your comparable digital device. I purposefully researched and bought this for my kids to learn and appreciate physical images. Too often in our digital lives we either don?t or forget to have our memories printed, we also don?t seem to be too choosy with what we take pictures of. By having a limited number of prints it?s like photography was meant to be shared. You think and print those images that have a special meaning to you. One thing to mention and more for information than a negative l, the camera has no view finder and with sun the screen isn?t easily seen.
