Fujifilm X100T Digital Camera (Black)

That camera is excellent. I use it all the time. This camera is quite good; it can take both RAW and JPG pictures. As soon as the image is taken, the colors are breathtaking. The camera is a terrific friend when your phone isn't good enough to capture images on travels or at social events. This camera may be utilized in most performance scenarios because it's small and seen as unprofessional. You can take up to 300 shots per charge so it may last a full day.If you don't want to pay the premium for the X100v or X100vi, save your money and purchase this camera instead. I definitely recommend it.

A Truly Superb and Iconic Camera

I've owned mine since approximately when they first shipped, approximately, March 2017.I previously owned the X100T, and it was fine camera. But, the X100F, with its 23mm f/2 lens, 24 megapixel sensor & X-Processor Pro image processor (along with along with the X-H1) results in a synergistic interaction that produces some of the most beautiful image quality I've experienced from ANY camera this side of a GFX. This camera brings people together rather than alienating subject and photographer, like many ILCs can.So...I *love* this camera. Using it provides me with joy and the photographs it makes are gorgeous. As such, it goes out the door with me every time I leave the house, ready for that decisive moment.

A specialized tool, that's got a newer, better version

If you can handle the cost of the newer model, to me it is the better camera of the two, and in many ways. Second, the menus and adjusting the settings have a number of quirky complexities that can make for frustration. Third, if you work with RAW files, you'll need to process those differently than those from other brands of cameras. Fourth, the ergonomics of this camera are NOT good. The simulated 'leather' covering is slippery; it desperately needs a better grip or an after-market thumb rest; and some of the buttons are small and not so easy to use. All this said, i've been smitten by this line cameras since the very first model and am buying one of the new "V" models. The lack of an anti-aliasing filter over the sensor produces very sharp resolution and their dynamic range is good for APSC-sized sensor cameras. Plus, their film simulations and the more portable 'take-with-you' size add to a fun factor and encourage one to experiment, which encourages us along with our growth as photographers.

Camera and Fujifilm are Superb

This is my third in the X100 line. I am used to using manual cameras having started photography at school in 1970’s. I have the camera set with customised button features. Together with the physical shutter speed and aperture (I leave in Auto ISO) it has become a very intuitive camera to use. The lens and image quality are excellent. With the leather case it is an easy camera to take anywhere. The face/eye recognition is reliable as is the auto focus. The hybrid viewfinder is quite unique and is nice to be able to switch between optical and LCD in the viewfinder. This is vital for outdoor people shots with ability to use flash at 1/1000 to 1/4000, depending on minimum aperture selected. People photos, no mater the light conditions are always superb. The auto white balance is always spot on. I wish the camera had a dedicated flash on/off switch, instead I just use the Fn to switch between mechanical and electronic shutter. The flash won’t fire with electronic shutter. The X100V looks a nice update but I don’t like losing the rear controller, replaced by touchscreen. I once damaged the camera, I think by using a USB-C to Micro USB adapter on a MacBook charger. It was just out of the 12 month warranty but Fujifilm repaired the camera under warranty. Great service from a great company.

Great Camera, Just Not Living Up To Its Fullest Potential

I agree with everything good that has been said about this camera. It's a beautiful work of art, fun to shoot with, captures great images, and had the potential to be one of the best cameras I've owned. Unfortunately there are some serious reliabilities issues and it's definitely not living up to it's fullest potential.I've had the camera for about 8 months and this will be my second time having to send it back to repair the same issue. Just Google: X100F viewfinder issues stuck curtain. Luckily it's still under warranty, but what happens after that? Fuji accidentally sent me a bill for the first repair before I had to correct them about it still being under warranty. Review of X100F High Performance Compact Camera - Silver

Good Points: I have been getting increasingly fed up with the mediocre snaps taken on the camera on my mobile phone and wanted better results. I did not want a cumbersome DSLR, I wanted a compact camera, and one that had "knob per function" controls so that I could understand the relationship between f-number, shutter speed, etc., by being able to easily make adjustments without having to fiddle around in a jungle of menus like you have to do on all other compact cameras.The X100F is all of these things plus takes stunning photos. The fab retro styling is just a mega bonus.I was slightly worried about the camera having a prime lens and no zoom, but this has turned out not to be a problem at all. I don't pretend to be an expert, but I understand the prime lens means fewer compromises in the optics and better photos, and the results (as mentioned earlier) are definitely very good. If I want to zoom in I just walk closer to the subject. Besides, landscapes are what I like capturing best and you don't need a zoom for that. There is a digital zoom of two fixed settings (which was a nice surprise as I hadn't picked that up in my pre-purchase research). The resolution of the sensor is so very high that the degradation in the image quality is almost imperceptible. I have also since discovered that there are screw on lens adaptors, one telephoto and one wide, but they are rather dear - I am not allowed to mention the price of them apparently on Revoo and was asked to delete the prices - but to give you an idea each additional lens is approx 1/5th of the the cost of the camera. I haven’t invested in them as (so far) I don’t think they are necessary.There was a special offer of a free Fujifilm leather case when you registered the product warranty with Fujifilm. That has arrived and I have to say that too is a delight.Improvement Points: There is no macro functionality (I think this is a function of the prime lens – but as said before I am not an expert) so you cannot take photos of anything closer than about a foot. One tiny niggle, I wish the lens cap had some kind if retaining strap as I will lose it at some point (I haven’t yet but I will do). The price for the camera is high, but you can see why when you hold it as the build quality is exceptional. I was given a present of a very generous voucher and without that I am not sure I could have afforded it.

The Perfect Camera for Casual or Street Photography

I had to return my Fuji X100-S which I loved because it was malfunctioning. Luckily this gave me an opportunity to upgrade to its newer Fuji sibling, the X100-F. This upgrade increases the megapixels from 16MP to 24MP. This, along with some other internal upgrades, improves upon an already stellar camera. Its $1299 price tag, ($899 on sale at B&H Photo.com), required a little more cash that its predecessor which I purchased for $499 used, but I find it well worth the few extra dollars.The X100-F has the same hand feel and rangefinder styling that I've come to love. I also love that it has basically two modes: totally automatic shooting or totally manual. If I'm feeling creative, I'll do the thinking as far as exposure. Metering is exceptional l- even when I've tried to fool it with subjects that are strongly backlit. While it doesn't add to its performance in any way, I love the X100-F's silver and faux leather finish as it is a nod to the 50's, 60's, and 70's rangefinders that won my heart so many years ago.One feature that is super important to my is that the shutter is nearly silent. This means that I can shoot with little noise. Because I plan to use this for street photography where I don't really want my subjects knowing that they are being photographed, a quiet camera is a big deal. Also, it looks like a really old camera and nothing is less threatening like a guy with a super old camera.Another feature about this camera that attracted me is its prime lens. This camera has a 23mm lens when coupled with a cropped sensor, nets out at around 37mm which is a medium wide angle. There is no zooming this at all, and challenges to me to be better as a photographer. When I was young and couldn't afford zoom lenses, I was forced to get closer or backup to get the shot I wanted.It's obvious that this camera might not be for everyone, but for me it's a winner. Great for casual shooters as well as street photographers, you'll be hard pressed to find a better overall rangefinder type camera with a very sharp prime lens.

Size, functionality and feature set is fantastic. Focused quickly, lens was bright and sharp. The camera has some brilliant manual focus and range focus settings. Dials are where you need them to be but are more stiff than they should be for quick manual adjustments. Considerable ability to customize settings/buttons to your individual needs. Battery life is about what you can expect, just add two extras to your order and don't worry about it again. Fits into your front pants pocket even though it looks a little odd.Black and whites were beautiful. Color, not so much. They were pretty garish in most settings and the RAW files took too much time to process in Lightroom compared to the time it takes me to use files SOOC from my primary cameras. X100F Review

I wish I had bought this camera sooner. I have really enjoyed it so far. I love how compact and lightweight it is. Fits in most my pockets. Even though this is their best X100 series sensor on the same lens that was on the first X100, sharpness hasnt really been an issue for me (x100V has the newest lens). Low light performance is really good as well. So far the only issue I have is that I like to use the as-is film recipes that come with the camera (particularly the B&W ones). But I also have enjoyed using custom ones other people make (i.e. I have a Ultramax 400 simulation). The downside is, if you use all 7 custom slots, you cant access the base presets unless you do it by manually setting all the settings to 0. Its a huge inconvenience. And if I were to nitpick it, having either an aftermarket thumb grip for the hot shoe/a neck or wrist strap is essential. Holding the camera in hand for long durations is not super ergonomic.
