Working in the grooming industry for many years, I have become very familiar with most of the furminator products. This one, personally, is not my favorite, but I still feel it's an excellent tool and that's why I gave it four stars. I prefer to blow out undercoats and cut out mats which is the only reason I don't use this guy as much. But I still do use it from time to time to get out mats that have already formed but are not beyond taking the time to brush out. One thing I really like about these products is it's harder to accidentally hurt your pets skin,as the teeth of the combs and rakes and such are more rounded and makes it easier to use for everyone at home too, not just the groomers. This is a game changer! This gets out the toughest of stuck in sticker burrs/bushes in these two very charming, adorable, sneaky Newfoundland / Great Pyrenees puppies. It doesn’t bother them a bit now that we’ve switched brushes/combs to the Furminator, before you could tell how bothersome it was for them at trying to brush out anything stuck in their fur their undercoat (for us as well). As they grow their undercoats this does a tremendous job at raking and removing it very gently and the amount that comes out is unreal! They love it and get excited when we bring out their furminator! Highly recommend for longer, thicker coated puppers! #newfoundland #greatpyrenees #lovemydog

While I love the original furminator for grooming and shed control, I find myself using this product more for a couple reasons. One, it brushes through my huskies thick double coats much easier than the other product and still pulls off some excess hair, but not as much. Which brings me to part two. I CANNOT use the original furminator inside my home or my wood floors would turn into a Husky carpet so I love that I can brush my dogs inside with this grooming rake and not have the pile up of hair in my living area. My two huskies prefer this brush as well. They sometimes try and walk away when I am using the yellow brush but they will let me brush them for days with the grey grooming brush.

This brush works wonders! I have a Siberian husky and she will blow her undercoat 2-3 times a year. This brush helps to make the de-shedding process much simpler. It gets all her loose hair out. I no longer have to worry about her shedding around the house! I definitely recommend this product.

This grooming comb works wonders for grooming big dogs with fine fur coats like Huskies. My dog used to leave hair everywhere and then I purchased the furminator boy did that help. I gave him a thorough combing 2 times a week and the shedding was minimized. Huskies always shed regardless but this helped out in the home. It removed so much hair you could literally make pillows. Leave your fur babies coat shiny too.

This product is great for my long haired German Shepherd. Works wonders removing mats as well as excess hair during shedding season. Makes getting to the undercoat a removing loose hair a breeze without being overly rough -- or damaging his fur. Can get stuck in knots and tug, so you do have to be mindul when brushing to avoid pulling . I'm due for a new one but has held up remarkably considering the amount of use and abuse its seen

I was at my wits end with dog hair. We have three dogs who always shed. I have bought several products over the years and even though the reviews for the comb were positive, I was skeptical. When it arrived first, I was pleased with the amount of hair it took off all dogs. I was amazed at how it went through all of their coats. The big test for me was how much hair was on my floors, one of my first jobs every morning is to go round with my flat mop gathering hair, usually a football sized amount.Since using the comb the hair on my floor in the morning is minimal, I am so pleased!I will be recommending this to my family and friends and will buy a spare, couldn't be without it

I love the Furminator rake. It removes loose hair better than any other rake that I have tried. It did just exactly like they advertised to do. When my Shepherd mix was shedding and I would use it on him, it would look like I had enough hair on the ground to make another dog. The birds loved it. They would carry the excess hair away and build their nests with it. I highly recommend it!

Furminator’s rakes are a gift from up above. I have had so many different ones from cheap to expensive. Double take to single tape and they seem to go missing a lot? In all that trial and error none have even compared to how well this works. It goes through their undercoat so easy and grabs so much hair with every stroke it’s insane. Mine are great at being crushed, but like most Huskies have the patience of a 2 year old. So this allows me to finish where other combs had me chasing them around trying to finish. I have no complaints at all with this rake, buy it!

Must have tool - eliminate burrs easily
8 November 2021

We would be lost without this tool. Our Golden Retriever puppy’s speciality is finding burrs and covering herself with them. She is 1.5 years old so there is quite a lot fur involved! This tool removes burrs quickly and painlessly. This tool is especially helpful to groom her undercoat. The only other grooming tool we use is a slicker brush.
