This is 1 of 5 Master of G watches I have now. I have 2 Frogman (old digital and new analog), 2 Rangeman (green 9400 and the “hockey puck” with navigation etc.). The big Rangeman is my favorite and I wear that one more often than any of them. The most comfortable on my wrist despite its size. This new Mudmaster is super cool, and I really like the look of the compressed carbon. I have the 1a5 as I liked the tan accents and strap. This one was pretty easy to set everything, but why no Bluetooth? Guess I got spoiled with that feature because it pretty much sets everything for you once it is paired. Still a fine addition to my addiction. These things are like Hot Wheels cars for grown men. Well done, G-Shock.

I was looking forward to this but for starters it’s an absolutely massive. Found complicated to use as well. Also I’m not sure whether the green/black works, looks very toy-like. I’m sure many will disagree with me!Customer services were very good though and helped with a speedy return.

So far I can't fault the watch at all. I really like the design and build quality. It does exactly what it says on the tin and looks good while doing it. All the information about the watch, it's functions and the packaging it arrived in were great, just what you need.

Honestly, that watch is of really low quality. I had to send it back after just 5 days of use due to horribly creaking/squeaking belt/band with every movement of my arm. On top of that the hours hand was not evenly covered with the fluorescent coating indicating low standards of quality control. That tripple sensor is a joke as well. Due to its position it will never show accurate temperature, and the altimeter since it's linked to the atmospheric pressure will give you unreliable results which even for that same location will change withing few hours. If you need to calibrate that every time then what's the point? It's over two weeks since I sent it back to the retailer (who subsequently sent it to Casio for assesment) and I'm still waiting for any updates. Not something you'd expect from a watch of this price tag (£699), which pretends to be a quality/tough piece. Shame on you.
I would rate this watch 4.5 if I could have.I really like the watch a lot, even in comparison to the already excellent GWG-1000, of which I own 2.I would list the pros and cons as follows :Pros:1. The new design of the watch and the mottled appearance of the forged carbon, which is actually quite subtle. The steel ring is also a nice touch.2. I like the keeper. Unlike the old metal ones which slid around too much IMO the new one holds the strap in place really well and the end of the strap no longer sits in mid air away from the strap. It just looks much neater to me.3. I am happy Casio left out bluetooth. Not fitting for a watch that is supposed to be fully self reliant. A GPS Mudmaster would be fantastic though, but I suppose we have the Rangeman for that.4. I really like the reflective 'solar panel' style pattern on the dial. It really catches light well and looks cool.Cons:1. The 60 minute countdown timer is still there. Why couldn't we have had a 24 hour countdown ? It makes it much less useful for common tasks such as timing parking.
Gwg2000A top quality mudmaster. The GWG1000 was already insanely over engineered but now , with the GWG 2000 Casio has retained all the functionality and durability but made it slimmer and lighter. The application of its latest carbon core technology , and use of stainless steel /forged carbon give the watch a genuinely premium feel and look. Was any of this really necessary ? Does it make the 2000 functionally any better?Probably not, is the answer but the feeling that this a properly special G shock makes it worth it.
I wanted a tough watch and this one just covers all bases. I’ll never put it through it’s full paces but it’s solar powered, multi band and 200m water resistant so it’s accurate, won’t need a battery and will handle anything I can throw at it. Looks ace too. Love it.Great service as usual from FCW. Excellent comms and great to deal with. Thanks.
This is a great model of the now classic Casio Mudmaster as I have three other models including the Frogman. It is the only watch in their range where the frame is made of forged carbon so as a result the patterns formed by the forging of the carbon are unique so no two watched will look the same . . . . simples so go get one!
This watch is superior in looks and quality compared to my old mudmaster that I still use. I found that following tutorials on YouTube really helped with the watches functions and set up. Due to an address mix up, I received the watch later than expected. The staff at G Shock acted promptly and the problem was resolved. I highly recommend the product and company.
