This was supposed to be a replacement for an old and poorly Kitchen Aid Artisan ( original model ) which we felt was at the end of its useful life. After some extensive googling and a very positive review on a coffee blog ( I did get a bit suspicious when I saw the same word for word review on a different blog ) I chose the Gaggia. When it came it felt very similar to our first espresso machine from Lidl for £29.99 !!! The portafilter feels poor quality and small, the chassis is more plastiky than I could have imagined. The quality of the coffee is slightly above that of the original Lidl machine , but not much, and I just dont see £170 of any quality. Suffice to say im keeping the Kitchen Aid which will return after a trip to the Espresso Hospital .... while the ... MoreThis was supposed to be a replacement for an old and poorly Kitchen Aid Artisan ( original model ) which we felt was at the end of its useful life. Following great reviews I went for the Gaggia Espresso and it seems to be all good. Lots to learn in making the best coffee but gradually getting there. The machine is really nice quality and definitely lives up to expectation.

This machine looks great in my kitchen. It makes a good cup of coffee, but not the most amazing.I like the memory feature on it, so don’t need to stand beside and stop it, it is auto.It is more like a 9 bar machine than 15 bar.The frother takes a long time to reach temperature to use. Making a complete cup of coffee taking a while. It needs to be reprimed after water refill.Good for the price and I hope built to last as feels quality built.

Our Gaggia Espresso Style arrived within 3 days of ordering. Allied with that, Miles had pre-empted delivery by introducing himself should we encounter any problems when delivered. Our machine is everything we have hoped it would be and the coffee quality is excellent. I would not hesitate to use Coffee Direct again in the future and intend to do so to bulk buy coffee. Thanks!
It’s a very nice little and simple coffee machine to use. The coffee is very nice too.
I am delighted with my Gaggia coffee machine, its robust, easy to use and even the milk works well.
