Cool, quiet, no coil whine. Does the job, looks good and is one of the smaller AIBs. Performance is insane. Very happy.

So far so good! Easy to install in my mid base unit . Just had to be careful with 3 into 1 power cable and bend it in right place when connecting. Running very quite. Fans Around about 40 on idle. GamingUp to about 60-65ish. No coil whine.at least double FPS. Not a bad deal neither

To my eyes, the Phantom is the best looking 4090. Nice subtle design looks good in the case, and does not feature the word "gaming" anywhere. 14cm height is a real plus and means it will fit comfortably in in my o11D XL with a 12VHPWR cable (not with the included squid adaptor, though). My example does feature some coil whine, but it's not noticeable unless I'm benchmarking or in a menu at 300+ fps and never once the headphones are on. Very happy not to have paid extra for an OC card. This boosts to around 2680MHz out of the box and will go to at least 2900Mhz @ 450W without touching voltage. Gaming performance is unbelievable. Spiderman Remastered max settings @4K with DLSS3 and framerate capped in nvidia settings holds 140fps without flaw with zero perceivable ... MoreTo my eyes, the Phantom is the best looking 4090. This is with power limited to 70% and GPU temps < 50C, typically using around 280W. Eye-wateringly expensive, of course, but this is incredible stuff! Overclockers didn't mark it up too badly over MSRP and delivered it quickly with no problems.

At first I was a bit hesitant to purchase this card, with minimal reviews and having no real history with the brand I thought it was a risk to give it a try. Ultimately, the price was a factor here, at the time of purchase it was about a £100 cheaper than the next card on offer, and I wasn't looking to overclock. If I was, I think I would be looking at a few hundred more, not just the next cheapest. The card itself looks great, minimal lighting on it (on the top), which make it look premium and less "gamer, the performance has been impressive. The fans are quiet and I haven't heard them. Currently running at 4k, and it's been crushing games. Just to note, these cards are massive and weighty. Also the packaging is a bit no frills, there are a few unboxing videos ... MoreAt first I was a bit hesitant to purchase this card, with minimal reviews and having no real history with the brand I thought it was a risk to give it a try. Would recommend the card and overclockers.
i wont lie i have always had fancy high end cards for example my last card was a 3090ti suprim x and the build quality was outstanding but the price for these "high end models" are not worth it, the Gainward phantom has excellent build quality much better than i expected and the performance is next to none if you take a look at guru3d review on the (gs) model you will see it is identical and sometimes beats £1800-2000 cards, not sure if i hit lucky with silicone lottery but i see 2805mhz in game usually 2790mhz which is very good considering the boost clock specs on paper are 2520mhz, if you want a 4090 buy this model you wont be disappointed i know the (gs) version has higher power limit but don't let that worry you anything over 450w is wasted on these cards as ... Morei wont lie i have always had fancy high end cards for example my last card was a 3090ti suprim x and the build quality was outstanding but the price for these "high end models" are not worth it, the Gainward phantom has excellent build quality much better than i expected and the performance is next to none if you take a look at guru3d review on the (gs) model you will see it is identical and sometimes beats £1800-2000 cards, not sure if i hit lucky with silicone lottery but i see 2805mhz in game usually 2790mhz which is very good considering the boost clock specs on paper are 2520mhz, if you want a 4090 buy this model you wont be disappointed i know the (gs) version has higher power limit but don't let that worry you anything over 450w is wasted on these cards as they just do not scale well past that if you watch der8auer on YouTube he tells you all about this and explains it well, Anyway back to the point this card is absolutely outstanding if you want one buy it don't waste £400 more on a "high end" model that's going to give you 2fps more and honestly at this price point for a 4090 insane, overclockersuk thank you :)
Not a brand I've bought before but this Gainward 4090 Phantom has met all my expectations so far. I'm not a gamer so can't comment in that regard, but using the card exclusively for GPU rendering in Blender, and with Octane in Cinema4D - it's a beast. From a workflow/productivity perspective for my line of work it's simply incredible and the cost is well worth the more-than-2x rendering speed over my previous two 2080 Ti's that it replaced.
A beast of a card quiet andcool , very happy with my purchase
This is definitely a beast of a card! Don’t waste your money on a more expensive model. This is very well built, includes a stand-off, is quiet & runs cool. I think it looks good too. If you use the included utility, you can save the RGB setting to the card and then you don’t need to run the utility. Recommend under volting ,a few tweaks in afterburner and I’m saving 70 W with no impact on performance.Running with Ryzen 7 7800X3D and 870W PSU.
Incredible how hard it was to find an all black GPU with RGB only on the side. Gorgeous, gorgeous GPU imho. On top of that it's the smallest 4090 there is (mind you it's still HUGE).No need to talk performance, if you're interested in buying one you've seen the benchmarks.Fans usually sit at 30%, dead silent (max fan speed I've seen was 41% during synthetic benchmarks). At 70% power limit uses the same power as a 4080, whilst performing virtually the same as a stock 4090 (70% pw limit never went above 313W, cannot recommend this simple tweak enough).RGB can be customised using Expert Tool II available from Gainward website, not a bunch of options RGB wise but enough to fit any builds theme. One caveat, the Expert Tool software needs to be running on boot to apply ... MoreIncredible how hard it was to find an all black GPU with RGB only on the side. Gorgeous, gorgeous GPU imho. One caveat, the Expert Tool software needs to be running on boot to apply the RGB theme, so during boot it has the default rainbow RGB until the software kicks in the background. This is NOT THE GS model (golden sample), that model is more expensive and offers no real world advantage, in fact I would not pay more for any model of any brand that tries and put OC on the box and overcharge to offer a 15% OC that offers no FPS gains and give you a 4x12 adapter with the excuse of a higher power limit. DO NOT FALL for that, all you gonna do is use a ton more energy for no gains at all. This model comes with a 3x12 adapter and goes up to 450W at 100& power limit, and even that is too much, stick to 70%.The anti sag bracket supplied is really easy to install and does not ruin the look of the card. All in all this was the model for me, from the looks to the size.I got it at the time of review for £1679, the KAF2 model was cheaper but I did not like the look of that card. (side note the White ASUS ROG Strix 4080 costs more than this 4090...lmao)
Its a beast of a card no questions about that!Cheapest, best bang for your pounds entry to a 4090 , and its worth the price! if you can afford it.I was eyeing the 4080 quite some time, but a good quality one almost 1.5k... so and half of the specs of a 4090, so it was and easy buy for me.Of course not the best of the best AIB but for price unbeatable, doesn't have fancy oc switches or dual bios or any kind of "gimmick" just chuck it in the rig and never touch if 3-4 years this is for you.Lets clear out the PSU chuds out there! YOU DONT NEED 1000W POWERSUPPLY, of course if you got like a high end overclocked (ryzen9, i9, etc.) system you might need it, but then you don't buy this 4090 anyways.Got Corsair RM750X and got 0 problems with it!Recommends 850W and ... MoreIts a beast of a card no questions about that!Cheapest, best bang for your pounds entry to a 4090 , and its worth the price! if you can afford it.I was eyeing the 4080 quite some time, but a good quality one almost 1.5k... so and half of the specs of a 4090, so it was and easy buy for me.Of course not the best of the best AIB but for price unbeatable, doesn't have fancy oc switches or dual bios or any kind of "gimmick" just chuck it in the rig and never touch if 3-4 years this is for you.Lets clear out the PSU chuds out there!
