Apart from some bozo swapping the metal ends for platic ones which they provided me the right ones these are the best hands down reliable durable in the harshest QLD ENVIORNMENT

Sure this hose does not kink but as a result it is super rigid. I have tried soo many times to wind this up into a neat coil with zero luck. I am stuck forever untwisting this thing when running it out to length. I would return it if I could find my receipt. On the upside the fittings are very good quality.

Some issues. Hose feels nice but still kinks. I wanted brass connectors and love that it is low toxin… that’s why I bought it… to fill up the wicking beds in the veggie patch with as minimal chemicals as possible… But guess what?!… what they don’t say on the packaging (bought in store, not on the website), is that it has a stupid water stop hose connector… so unless you have a handheld gun or something else connected to it… it won’t even work…can’t fill up wicking beds (and buckets & fertiliser containers take much longer by hand) and couldn’t get it to work with the pressure sprayer either- had to borrow a cheap hose for that!…And more recently, even the hand guns (neither plastic nor brass)… seem to lock in properly, so it has become almost impossible to use for ... MoreSome issues. The hose itself looks very sturdy. A challenge to wind on the Gardena reel first time, but the advice to lay it out to its full length was helpful. The brass connections were a disappointment due to the poor quality plastic used for the inside retainers for hose and snap on attachments. These broke first use on my stop valve so attachments fell off. Such a shame as the brass is otherwise beautiful. If you choose a Gardena hose, I would recommend buying one fitted with the plastic Gardena fittings instead.
Bought this hose 2 months ago, paying the extra for a 10/10 kink resistant hose. I followed the instructions regarding caring for a new hose (leaving outstretched, filling with water) and then after longer than the recommended time, rolled it loosely onto a hose holder. The first time I used it after it had been on the hose holder, it kinked in a number of places. I persevered another couple of times and it was so bad. I have another branded hose which only has a 7/10 kink rating and it is HEAPS better.
The hose is good but the fittings were missing at one end.I found some old fittings at home and used them. I did not advise the store because there was no way of getting the fittings without returning the hose.
This is a great hose, very easy to use once installed. For installation, there is a simple to use template inside the box, so you can workout where the holes are to drill. The only discrepancy there is for the installation is into brick, the template says to drill 1/2" holes, but when you drill a 1/2" hole, the plastic sleeves are too loose and hence the screws don't go in as tight as they should. So beware, you should probably drill 10mm holes and then all would be much better fit when installing onto a brick wall.
I really love my Gardena hose. No problems at all with mine. The brass connectors feel and act very sturdy and reliable at both ends. No leaks, no splits and a handful if very minor kinks since I've been using it (about 6 months now). (I was pushing it a bit too far I think. :) ) In the 18 months I've had a garden, before coughing up for a decent one, I purchased multiple cheap plastic options thinking I was saving money but I found those cheap ones immediately kinked and split, it got ridiculous. I wasted more money on many cheap hoses than I would have spent had I bought this quality hose right from the start. Ive used Gardena products religiously for decades. I've had this Superflex one for a year - it tangles like a snake no matter what I do. I bought this to avoid the tangles! I went back to the cheaper Gardena which is great. On the plus side it looks new after a year in the sun the old one doesn't. I normally can't be bothered but this product is so frustrating and so expensive I thought I'd warn others.
I bought this today, and read the 1 star negative review. Unlike that poor chap, I had no issue with the hose rolling out with no kinks at all. I also had no leakage at all, with a brass fitting on the tap, but a simple spray wand at the other, with a plastic connector. The hose is full pressure, no kinks, no leaks. Thanks.
