This is a very convenient free-standing hose reel for mid-garden locations where there is no available wall mounting. It is relatively easy to install on a lawn area, taking only about 40 minutes in total, from unboxing to first use.
A real quality product that is a massive improvement on a conventional manual hose reel. The ground spike is really effective (in Welsh clay and slate) and provides a solid mounting. We ran a hose to the reel under ground and put the reel in the middle of our veg patch - all very free of clutter and trip hazards.
I really want this to last. I love the feel and utility of the product so far. The hose itself is so much lighter than the garden hose I was using. It’s a joy to use at this point! My only concern is about the life expectancy of the auto retracting internal mechanism.That’s the only thing that is keeping me from ordering a second unit for the back yard.I really want this to work.
