Garmin Striker Vivid 9sv 9" Fishfinder GPS Track Plotter with GT52 Not A Chart Plotter

I use this in my car and it has been an absolute lifesaver. I had bought a couple off-brand phone holders previously and the suction cup always ended up coming off in the middle of me driving or the screen would tilt down to the point where I wasn't able to use it as a navigational tool and this one is so much better. Not only is it secure and well made but the speaker really makes the difference when you're driving in a noisy situation. I have to travel quite a bit for work sometimes and having the ability to use the navigation on my phone is something that I cannot part with

Garmin has been a trusted brand in our home for over a decade. We refer to Garmin for all of our auto GPS related needs. We've purchased GPS devices for home, auto and boating as well as Garmin hardwares, accessories and fittings. We've never had any issues and their customer service and support is great.

My husband and Son both have them. It gets them to places very easily. It shows the spreed the vehicle is going and so much more. You can make your settings personal to your needs. Great price and huge value.

Disappointed

I bought this finder in May 2023; but by July/August 2023, the sideview feature is no longer working. Sent Garmin support a video of my transducer at their request and was told it’s due to physical damage therefore not covered by warranty. I can tell you I haven’t had nor used it longer enough to be damaged by rocks, lay downs, or anything of that nature. There is a spot that was rub by my trailer but was not damaged enough to cause the side view not to work. The clear view and sonar work fine, so I’m giving this product a 3-star rating. Not sure what I’m going to do at this point. If you have a kayak or small pontoon boat; don’t buy this product. Try Hummingbird or Lowrance.

Fits my needs. Fun to use. Garmin quality.

Did exactly what I wanted it to do, at an economical price. Charts uncharted ponds and rivers plus marks the bottom structure while doing it. Has good imaging and is user friendly. Don?t know if the more expensive ones will do what this one does for farm ponds and the like. You can produce a chart where none are available.

Striker 9SV review

This is an excellent little unit for the money. I previously had the striker 4CV + on my boat & switched to the striker 9 SV & it’s not even a comparison as to how much better this one is. The transducer shows everything so much clearly & with more detail. I was very disappointed with the CV on the striker 4, but the CV option on the 9SV is so much better. You can easily make out rock piles & logs & brush using the SV option & the traditional view is way better to it shows so much more details than the gt20 on the striker4. It was a lot of money for me to spend on a fish finder but I’m delighted I got it in the end my day’s out are more enjoyable now I can see exactly what the bottom of my local lough looks. Product works as advertised. Another quality product from Garmin. Really helps to see fish and structure while on the water. The clear view and sideview features are awesome. It is so much more than just a depth finder. Garmin has hit a homerun again with this fish finder. But I wouldn’t expect anything less from Garmin.

Does not have any GPS Mapping! Fish finder w/ side scan is okay, but nothing like HB or Lowrance. Big mistake when purchased this.
