This is an absolutely gorgeous watch! I have had the Fenix 5s Plus and an Apple Watch and the Venu 2 Plus is by far my favorite watch of the two. The amoled screen is so crisp and high tech looking which makes the Venu easily stand out from the rest of the Garmin series. I love having the ability to program workouts and create my own workouts in the HIIT activity and strength activity. I love that the strength activity highlights the primary and secondary muscles used during the workout. This watch works great for both my CrossFit workouts and my running workouts which played a big role in deciding which garmin to go with. With my Fenix, I really utilized the training effect and suggested rest. The anaerobic and aerobic measurements helped me to see how hard I pushed myself during training and helped me in future workouts. As mentioned above, I’m a multi sport athlete so having the suggested rest really helped me determine whether or not to take an active rest day or not. As disappointed I am in not having those features, the beauty and function of the Venu 2 Plus is enough to help me oversee those missing features.

First let's start off positive, nice watch and great features. Unfortunately, it is a huge let down and very useless without app or Bluetooth connection. I don't know if the app needs improvement or the watch features need to work more independently from the app. Since purchasing at least 1-2 times a week I have to resync the watch because it drops from showing in the app. It has been so annoying that I abandoned using the watch after searching for solutions. I have another smartwatch I had for years that as soon as I charge the battery it connects to Bluetooth and I don't wear it anymore but it is still reliable while working with every phone I purchased over the years. In trying to reconnect the Garmin to Bluetooth is more of an obstacle course that is not fun and literally had me wanting to throw it out the window. I hoped that the app would get an update that would fix the problem but so far nope. I love Garmin products but this watch experience is a bust with nice features that are useless without a steady connection to the app. I know I'm not alone since most of the tricks to troubleshoot came from others online with the same issue. If it ever consistently works I will happily update my review.

I bought this Venu 2 Plus within the past month after not being completely satisfied with the Garmin Instict Solar that I had purchased nearly a year ago. Not that the Instinct Solar was bad, but it didn't have a lot of the features I really wanted, and, I had actually thought I could do without but in the end couldn't. So, ended up upgrading to the Venu 2 Plus. In basically a month of owning, I am very happy I made the switch. I am, overall, extremely haply and satisfied with the Venu 2 Plus. Watch design and appearance is really nice. Size is good and fits well on my wrist. Seems very well made. I really like the material of the watch band. Overall appearance seems very high end. The watch is very user friendly. The watch is very user friendly. Set up was a breeze, easily connected with Garmin Conect and my third party apps, like My Fitness Pal. The color of the screen and on the watch is really good. Screen is very vivid and colors are nice. Navigation of the watch is very simple and easy to figure out. I have had no issues with GPS on any runs or walks, seems pretty similar to past watches I have used. The store was easy to use and watch faces are easy to change and update. Battery life is pretty good considering. Coming off the Instinct Solar, battery life was the biggest change, but its still good. I typically get somewhere between 5-7 days typically doing at least 3-4 gps walks or runs weekly lasting around 30-45 minutes each and not using the always on display. Haven't checked out the music playback either with headphones or without, but I love the fact that you can answer calls and texts and the fact that it has the built in speaker. This watch seems very well-made. I love the look. I like the functionality. I have no complaints. Of course, battery-life can always be improved on anything, but that's just a picky observation. Overall, I would highly recommend. Very happy with the Venu 2 Plus at this point.

The performance of the internal speaker and mic on phone calls is better than waht mayority of people would expect.Great battery duration. Around 5 days with 50% of screen brightness, notifications, vibration and many functions on.Very good responsivness of the touchscreen and function buttons. The strap's quick release system works very well0 issues with bluetooth comunication and Garmin Connect App pairing.Little more than one hour for a full charge after 5 days of continuous usege is just incredible. All the sports and fitness apps and functions you could expect on more expensive smatwatches are available on this watch. The GPS accuracy outdoors is very good.I like big watches, so, i do wish would exists a bigger version than 45 mm one, with a little ... MoreThe performance of the internal speaker and mic on phone calls is better than waht mayority of people would expect.Great battery duration. I may want to see all notifications on my phone but just some of them on my watch.Overall, i would give a 95 over 100 to this smartwatch.
I have been a lifelong Fitbit user. Fitbit was bought by Google and decided to discontinue many of their heavily used features, like challenges. Fitbit products never really had a long lifespan, but the challenges kept my friend/family group coming back. Due to this lack of listening to the community, swaths of people left Fitbit recently in search of other non Google products. Garmin has the same features, if not more, and I have been running the venu 2 plus and Fitbit in parallel, Fitbit is much less accurate with distance and steps, but close with the health stats. Overall construction hands down goes to Garmin though. The quality of the watch is much higher then Fitbit, not to mention the battery! Fitbit lasts around 2 days, Garmin around a week. I’ve been eyeballing the Venu 2 Plus for about half a year and finally made the switch! Coming from Apple 5, I was looking for more descriptive/thorough statistics as well as longer battery life. I’m pretty average - karate, hiking, walking, paddle boarding, and when I get a wild hair I’ll go on a real bike ride. For daily functions this watch has surpassed my expectations, I may even start running with this thing on! The sleep tracking and body battery are helpful to gain perspective on how my day is going. I also really enjoy the “heat” map after moving activities, to gain insight on what segments were faster/slower.The Garmin Connect App is another huge upgrade - there is a wealth of information that can be beneficial to your training goals.I also love that ... MoreI’ve been eyeballing the Venu 2 Plus for about half a year and finally made the switch! I turned off all notifications for phone calls etc., but when I’ve forwarded calls to my wrist the audio and mic clarity were wonderful quality. As for battery, I’m in the habit of charging nightly but this battery life is solid for my needs. I’ve been able to track walks and karate training, and even sleep training over the course of multiple days without charging which is something I couldn’t do before on the Apple!Garmin is a smart choice for people who want to get more out of their watch and their training. I wish I had made the switch sooner!
Love it! One of my favorite purchases ever! Great price for all that you are getting. It is a very intuitive watch, easy to set-up everything you need really, from Airpods, to Spotify, to Garmin Pay, etc. Everything was so easy and seamless. It also feels, for the most part, seamless and almost invisible. App works good. It feels good to be able to wear this watch, go out for a walk and it is enough to pay for things, listen to music and track fitness. I do not need to carry a small bag or pouch with me. I do wish I could unlock my car with the watch as well. Great health and fitness tracking, including for that time of the month. The only thing that has been bothersome for me has been, the sensor. For some reason after a few days of wear, the watch starts to feel painful, so I have to remove the watch after 4-5 days for about a few hours to a day. This happens with all such watches no matter what technology is used for the sensor. The sensor always feels uncomfortable and painful after some time.
Arrived quickly, came in new/perfect condition. Make sure you charge fully before setting up, will make initial paring and syncing go more smoothly. Also, instead of the little guide that comes with the watch, use the online support pages- I found them easier to follow.Have now used the watch for: jogging, step aerobics, swimming and water aerobics and it performs as well as the Felix 5S I had before. The HRM continues to work underwater AND show my HR in real time, which I appreciate. I put my music controls on the shortcut, as I decided against loading music into the watch. The shortcut music controls are fantastic. Modifying settings is a little tricky, you’ll have to bop around a bit to fiddle with settings and data fields in your workout apps. I have a feeling I’ll have this for a long time, it’s lighter and slimmer than my old Felix 5S, with all the functions I want.
I decided to upgrade to the Garmin Venu 2 Plus after a different brand died. I've only had it a month so far however its the Perfect Smartwatch for me. I ride road and mountain bikes hike, run, swim, pretty much everything and this watch has it all. Huge amount of data for each sport, accurate GPS and step counting with loads of customisable settings. I can set individual heart rate alerts for each sport to say in a particular zone without having to look at the watch. Although voice google assistant is a tad fiddly to setup at first, its really handy having it available on the watch and I have even managed to set up voice control of my household lighting. I also have Google calendar linked as well so I get task notifications on the wrist. Sleep data is very useful ... MoreI decided to upgrade to the Garmin Venu 2 Plus after a different brand died. I've used this data to tweak my evening routine and have had some of the best sleep I've ever had over the past 2 weeks. Battery life is amazing. Highly recommended piece of kit.
After having the watch for a while aside from heart rate and gps tracking all the extra data is pretty useless or irrelevant. Also you might encounter problems trying to get the watch pay thing working on an Android phone. Luckily I had an old iphone which I was able to complete the watch pay set up with and then switch back to the samsung. The data syncs to your cloud account etc. It wasn't without it's head aches but I got there in the end - just remember to switch the bluetooth off on the phone you not using when trying to reconnect the watch between the different brands- that's if this is a problem, which was for me. Basically the connection gets confused trying to connect to 2 devices at same time.Another thing is the bluetooth connectivity - unless you have ... MoreAfter having the watch for a while aside from heart rate and gps tracking all the extra data is pretty useless or irrelevant. I don't know why the watch doesn't utilise the inbuilt WIFI for connection when in such environment as the bluetooth disconnects/ reconnects continuously when I'm walking around the house. These are the flaws I have found with the watch. Aside from that its pretty good. You could probably save yourself $500 and grab the $200 fitbit - I think that covers most bases this does even without the premium subscription. Like I said all the extra stuff is probably unnecessary.
