It's tricky until you've done it a couple of times.Once I had the mower assembled and had charged the battery I gave it a whirl. My old Flymo that had given up the ghost was much more comfortable to hold as it had thicker handles and a dead man's handle on each side - this one has only one on the right. I also can't do the sweeping side to side motion with this mower - which is obvious as it isn't a hover mower! It's heavier than the Flymo by approximately 3 kilos too but the carry handle helps with this. I'm an 8.5 stone, 5'2", 61 year old woman so not the strongest but can just about manage it. Regular yoga helps with this! The mowing itself was an absolute doddle and I completed the lawn in 10 minutes! It would take around half an hour with my Flymo and I would have to go over it again crossways to get the bits of grass that it didn't catch first time round, and do a fair bit of strimming on top. This mower goes close to the edge so hardly any strimming was required. The main benefit was having a large grass box. I didn't even have to empty it until I had finished! Usually I'd have to spend another half hour raking grass off my lawn (my Flymo didn't have a grass box at all). The only real disappointment with this mower was that when I started mowing my neighbour's lawn for her (immediately after finishing my own), the battery died after less than 5 minutes. Luckily I'd ordered a spare when I bought the mower so that was brought into play. I'll see how long the battery lasts on my second mow but I will be contacting Toolstation if it only lasts 15 minutes the next time. My grass wasn't wet, thick or very long so I expected the quoted 23/24 minutes from it.In summary, I'm very pleased with this mower due to how quick and efficient it is, saving me around an hour of graft! My lawn looks much neater than with my old mower too. I may wrap bicycle handlebar tape around the handle to make it more comfortable to hold but overall I'm pleased I bought this. Oh and of course, having no cord is a big improvement - especially as I had to use an extension reel as well with my old mower! That used to take a few minutes to set up and put away!I would have given 5 stars but for the low battery life.

Basic Einhell Cordless Mower

Very basic and functional, not quite the usual Einhell quality. Assembly is simple and easy, basic instructions but very clear. However, the assembly of the grass collector is only for those with patience, dexterity and possibly super-human ability. The black mesh plastic part is such poor quality that it's very tricky to insert all the clips into the red 'top' of the grass collector as the black part continually flexes - Einhell, just make the black mesh plastic higher quality and it'll be fine. I managed assembly after around 30mins! On my mower, the grey metal bars for the handle that attach to the mower are different angles and the lower part of the bars are slightly different lengths. The other average quality aspect is the simple (but slightly tricky as it's on fairly tight springs) change of the cutting height adjuster. To do this you need to flip the mower upside down, find the metal bar between the front wheels and use your thumbs to slot it into the three notches to adjust the height. A bit industrial although simple. In use, the mower is actually pretty good. I managed a family member's small lawn very easily and no worries with charge either. The mower is very lightweight (lighter than my relative's handheld mower) and glides across the lawn pretty effortlessly. Not very noisy and easily operated by my relative who has slight dexterity issues. You can easily use this one-handed. So it's basic, it's simple, it's a bit cheap in design but you get what you pay for. No complaints about the cutting though!

Absolutely brilliant ! Freedom from power cables and ultra light weight so it's really easy to use. My lawn is a typical urban garden (about 20 meters square) ... it used to take me 20 minutes but now I can do it in half that time. This would be really easy to use for senior citizens .... it was kind of like using a hoover. It has 3 different height settings and gave a really good close cut on the lowest. The 3 amp hour battery is perfectly adequate .... I've cut my lawn 4 times on the one off charge and so it could easily cope with a larger lawn. Assembly was relatively easy apart from the collection box which comes in two half's .... I struggled with the locating lugs for a while ... until I put a little washing up liquid on them and then it went together OK.

Easy Mowing
4 June 2023

I can’t understand why some people here are having a meltdown over the grass box. You clip the top to the bottom starting at one edge and work your way around, easy, so if that’s a struggle, should you really be using power tools? As for fitment of the grass box, it clicks straight on to the back of the mower. The mower is more than capable of tackling suburban gardens that are kept well most of the time. It’s so easy to just get the mower out, no faff with cables or tripping over extension leads. Well worth the money. I also have their blower and strimmer and the ability to share the batteries is a bonus; one 3Ah battery can do all three tools in the back garden. Charging is fast ready for the next time.

Great Product with a few set backs
29 April 2023

Really enjoying using this cordless grass cutter. It is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre and is narrower than others so fits nicely along side the car in the garage. Only set backs are the basket was really finicky to put together but once done it is tougher than boots and sturdy as hell. Other thing is our garden is about 70sq metres (big) and the lawn is thick, like meadow grass, and so the battery runs out quicker after about 20sq metres is cut, so we are getting a second battery with a higher capacity. Oh yeah, and to change the wheel heights you have to be strong as it’s a spring loaded mechanism; I wouldn’t recommended for someone a bit frail but anyone else it’s great for the price.

Honestly, a lawnmower bought off Delboy Trotter would probably come with less faults than this one.For anyone thinking of buying this lawnmower...please don't! Save yourselves the stress and Anxiety that will come from this thing and buy 1 with a more reputable company.

Nice little mower
24 July 2023

Bought this to replace a Gtec Battery mower. To be honest the Gtec is a better mower but very heavy. The new mower is very light and easy to move around. I have a very small patch of grass so this is perfect. The one down side is that adjusting the mower height is a pain. You have to move the front and back wheels to adjust height - there is not a lever. It is quite hard to move them but luckily I have someone who could and they are at the height I need and won't be getting shifted again. Also putting the grass collection box together is quite fiddly. It took 2 of us and a put of strength.

Not Good!
2 April 2023

I guess you get what you pay for but for the price I still expected better. It's very flimsy and feels cheaply made. I fully charged the battery, set off to use and could get no further then a few steps before the blade jammed, I raised it as high as it would go and it didn't even cut the grass, lowered it again and same again the blade jammed every few steps (my grass certainly isn't overgrown!) impossible to cut the grass on my garden! Just doesn't seem powerful or I have a faulty one - I am returning it as it's useless for me. Also the handle on the box pops off when I tried to empty what grass had been collected - spilling all over the floor! Not happy! Really not well made! Very disappointed! Won't be re-ordering another!

Some parts are difficult to assemble.
17 July 2023

I am a keen DIY'er and I always look forward to constructing things, but this one was really poor. The instructions are out of order (for instance, the cable clips have to go onto the handles before fastening the handles together) and the quality of the photographic printing leaves a lot to be desired. The grass box that people have difficulty with took me best part of an hour to put together by myself. I finally got there by holding the joints together with gaffer tape before giving each connector a sharp smack with a rubber hammer. Once assembled it worked as expected. It feels very plasticky, though. We will just have to see how long it lasts. I'm knocking off one star because of the instructions.

I only have a small lawn, but now I have 3 mowers in the garage. One petrol (not worth the effort), one cheap corded one that chucks lawn clippings everywhere and takes longer to sweep up than it does to mow the lawn. Now this little battery beauty. Its quite small and looks like a child's toy, however it does a really good job. The clippings stay in the catcher where they should, and it's quite quiet. I'm really impressed with it - so much so I drunkenly took it out of the garage and set it up at 10.30pm to show my father in law :-) Like a few have commented - the catcher is very fiddly to clip the top and bottom plastic pieces together. I found slightly bending the upper edge when clipping in the lower edge bits helped.
